Since taking over the venue, we have been working hard to transform the building into a truly special pub, restaurant and coffee house.

Whatever reason you may have for visiting us – a healthy or hearty breakfast, a coffee with home-baking beside our wood-burning stove or downstairs with the kids in the play area, fantastic food with family in our restaurant, a glass of wine or a local beer with friends in our bar or on the riverside terrace – we assure you of a friendly welcome from staff who care.

Please let us know when you book if you are bringing your dog and we will reserve a suitable table.

Excellent service from friendly, attentive and helpful staff. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Good choice of meals and drinks and good value for money. The staff were very accommodating when extra family members joined us for drinks by organising a larger table. Overall a very pleasant experience and one we would hope to repeat. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Our Daughter-and-Mother team owns and operates the restaurant Mia and Isara McCallum. Mia McCallum is from Phuket, Thailand, and is in charge of the dining experience. Isara is our main chef, also born in South Thailand. She brings her passion for traditional Thai cooking to the heart of Highland Perthshire.

We visited for our anniversary which we were congratulated on on arrival which was nice. Lovely, comfortable restaurant in a great location. Was quite quiet when we were there. Cocktails were great and arrived quickly. Order taken promptly. Starters (1 crispy squid and 1 ham hough terrine) both excellent. If marking down at all, we would have ordered a bottle of wine if someone had asked us earlier but after a wait, we ended up ordering just a glass each because we didn’t think we’d get through the full bottle in time. Mains were both great (1 steak and 1 stroganoff). Steak was ordered medium and came perfectly cooked. A really nice cut of meat too. Peppercorn sauce was missing but was corrected immediately. Dessert (cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding) were lovely. All in all, a great night. We were served by 3 or 4 team members. I would suggest (as constructive feedback), one server taking responsibility for each table. For example, we were asked for drink orders twice. Will be back again.
