Wonderful food. Lovely experience to watch being cooked and crafted in front of you. Brilliant to be able to sample top notch food without having to spend loads on a full tasting menu. Sharing is encouraged and plates provided. My only criticism is I would have liked some plain bread (a couple of slices of baguette or similar) to mop up the remainder of the delicious sauces. Didn’t fancy the focaccia for this purpose. We will be back.

- Our focus is on a communal dining experience so please be aware you may be sharing the table with other guests. We are open until 11pm, last savoury food orders are at 9:30pm.

- Please note: Bookings between 4pm and 5pm Wednesday to Friday are for 'Aperitivo Hour'. These are 1 hour slots only for drinks, with a small menu of cold snacks available.

The staff and ambience were lovely, and the food was very nice with a fusion of lots of flavours. we went as a group of 3 freinds, it’s a small restaurant got a bit noisy when the restaurant was full so difficult to chat!

Words cannot describe this experience. We had never done a tasting and it was incredible - everything from the intimate location, the very knowledgable and engaged staff, to the food. Go in hungry though, we were there 3.5 hours, had 8 courses and then at the end they brought a complimentary selection fo small desserts and we both felt like Mr Cresote from the Monte Python sketch. Not inexpensive but if you want an experience that will stay with you then this is it!

Matt put his own stamp on the Leeds restaurant scene with his now renowned ‘food to swear by’ brand, forging an outstanding reputation for its British cooking; earning a 2020 Michelin Plate and a spot in The Good Food Guide.

Two-Michelin-starred judge of MasterChef Marcus Wareing famously described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted”.

Jay Rayner said in his review published in the Guardian “Bloody hell, that’s good” on tasting Matt’s food; only he didn’t say “Bloody” and he didn’t say “hell”.

Matt has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the hospitality industry’s finest, some of whom will form part of the Forde team; bringing first class service to Horsforth.

Had a lovely midweek meal and cocktail. Tried some pig cheeks which were extremely tender, the hasselback potatoes and carrot salad were my favourites.

This was the 4th visit to Ma He for me and once again I was not disappointed. The booking was made by me on behalf of our BT curry club and all of the attendees enjoyed the experience, so much so that a further booking from one member will be forthcoming. One grouse wad the service charge, as the consensus is that they should decide on the gratuity. But in the words of Arnie “I’ll be back”.

Excellent place to eat especially if you manage to catch the pre-theatre menu which is excellent value. Wine is also well priced. Service is good and I am happy to take friends or family to eat here
