The host/owner is friendly and knowledgeable. The server, Joslyn, was outstanding. And, of course, the views were great as were the meals.

North Point Kitchen + Bar opened in 2023 by the Gilbert family, lifelong residents to the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. After years of working and running restaurant establishments and working with his company Butter & biscuit Co. at local farmers markets, Joel has established great friendships and partnerships with some of the best local farmers. Joel took this opportunity to use the best seasonal products for his Italian inspired cuisine. Fabulous dinner on the patio! Beautiful surroundings, excellent service and the food was amazing. We usually go to The Lawn for events and Easter/Mother's Day brunch but I have never just been for dinner. I will in the future! Highly recommend!

Decor was Park District industrial. Views, however (beach/lake/volleyball courts), were spectacular. Lunch was basic but surprisingly tasty, and our server, Guadalupe, was exceptionally nice/helpful. Bottom line: rare sit-down dining ON the beach, with drinks and a view to die for. We'll be back.

Excellent international small plates in a great outdoor setting with a beautiful view. So convenient to the Michigan Avenue shopping district. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a few days later and ordered the sane items: burrata, shrimp cocktail and steak frite. We shared the three dishes and that was perfect. Great cocktails too.
