Beautiful restaurant with stunning Derwent River & vineyard views.
The original Shed was built on the Mt Nassau property in the early 1900's and met with it's demise in the 1967 bushfires. Built to replace the original Sheds were a Tractor and Shearing shed.
In 2021 work began on "The Shed" Restaurant which has been built in the exact same footprint as the original Sheds and some of the wood from the old Shed were used to make the table bases.
With our incredible head Chef Andrew Russell and our Restaurant Manager Jessica Johnson leading our team of wine and food experts, there is no better spot to sit and enjoy an amazing meal with awards winning wine.

A very welcoming environment was offered initially and we were greeted very warmly by the staff . They were very attentive and service was prompt . Our hostess, Lola, was outstanding—knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the food, the wine, and delivering the best service possible. Her effortless approach to hospitality was refreshing and a real standout in today’s industry. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire kitchen team—the food was faultless, with each dish offering something unique. For us, the scallops, zucchini, and open steak sandwiches were real highlights. And to our new friend Luke and his partner—thank you for your incredible gift. We had a great dining experience at 1830. The food was delicious with complementary and interesting flavours and produce. Nice ambience and staff were really friendly, helpful and professional. Perfect end to our day wandering around Port Arthur site. Highly recommend.
