My husband and I frequent Dear Friend regularly. We love the cocktails, the food, the atmosphere, everything about it. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I made a reservation for a party of six that was to include our adult son with Down Syndrome. He has many dietary restrictions and I messaged the restaurant to ask if it would be possible for a specific item be made available for him. They contacted me back immediately and said they could accommodate the request. It is not very often that he is able to join us when we go to an upscale restaurant to dine. I cannot thank the staff enough for accommodating the request and making the night perfect ❤️

Pizzeria
Halifax
About the restaurant
In Provence, a region in southeastern France, “Lou Pécou” is the term for the peduncle, or stalk, that holds a cluster of fruit. Our grandparents taught us that when in the kitchen, you must start with the freshest and finest of ingredients. They had a unique way of feeling and picking lou pécou, to know if the fruit and vegetable is local, ripe, and fresh. We look forward to passing you these traditions and learnings through our pizzas.

At Lou Pécou, you will find exclusive finely curated dishes with a Provençal touch, a wide range of organic and biodynamic wines, signature cocktails, house-made desserts, and much more!

Last night we had pizza and as usual it was outstanding. I had the pasta special for a change and it was amazing. They had made a special stinging nettle pesto that was so delicious and very unique. They are always taking their food to the next level and we are never disappointed.

We have visited this restaurant a few times before. It has seemed to have changed, and not for the better. Needs a bit of a refresh. Server’s were wearing jeans. This is a not great change.

Seafood
Halifax
About the restaurant
Located in Halifax with a stunning waterfront patio, this bar combines craft beer and seafood, drawing inspiration from its picturesque setting and rich past as a hub of trade and fun. The establishment's name pays homage to the Pickford & Black shipping company founded in Nova Scotia in 1876. Originally a supplier for ships, the business expanded into a successful steamship operation, transporting goods across the Maritimes and even to destinations like Cuba and Bermuda. Today, more than a hundred years later, you can experience exceptional seafood and craft beer brought directly to your table when you dine with us.
