The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Our waiter Roy was exceptional. The food was amazing We drove up Tuesday from chicago and this meal met and exceeded every expectation. Thank you so much the chef and his staff were spot on with everything. Well worth the trip up and overnight stay. We will be back. ❤️❤️❤️🥰

We've been happy customers for years until this visit. We were out of town for the Winter and came for a birthday celebration with 5 guests. Only one meal was the usual delicious meal we were used to. All of us ordered something different. We left disappointed.

Always a great experience. We had a large party of 7 and our server, Alicia, was excellent and kept everyone happy! Once again , the chef was so accommodating of my dairy intolerance, which I so appreciate! The bruschetta is awesome! All our entrees were great, from steak to pastas! My favorite restaurant!

Sortino’s offers a good array of choices on the dinner menu and the portions were more than adequate. The food quality is average for this kind of fare but lacking the finer culinary touches. For example the Milanese chicken breast would normally be pounded quite thin before pan frying and that was not the case here. The salad that came with it was very good and included some finer touches like arugula, avocado and heirloom tomatoes. The lack of flourish extends to things like no bread being served with the entrees, no water being offered and no table cloths. Prices were reasonable although a single glass of wine was $20.00- I’m ok with that but I wouldn’t mind a table cloth or candle on the table to go with that $20 glass of wine! I would certainly go back but am not on a rush to do so.
