We went here to celebrate my birthday while in Berlin for a scientific conference. The staff was amazing, especially Isabel, who greeted us as we exited our taxi and made the entire experience wonderful. Now onto the food…we did the wine pairing which was definitely a terrific choice because we were able to sample some fantastic wines from Germany and close French country wines which Isabel herself had been to many of the vineyards herself and her enthusiasm shown with her descriptions. The food was exceptional, each course with its own unique tastes and experience. It was truly a fantastic night that even ended with a small cheesecake and a candle!!

Its ambiance is very cozy. Surrounded by many books, you'll feel more like you're dining at home instead of in a restaurant. Mauna Kea is open from morning until night and serves a variety of meals, including pizza, sandwiches and salads. It specializes however in breakfast with dishes from around the world, including French toast and pancakes. Brunch, as well as holiday menus are also scheduled often.

Der Starsommelier und Weinkreateur Andre MACIONGA hat mit dem sterneerfahrenen Urkraftgenie Sebastian LEYER einen kongenialen Partner und Küchenchef gefunden. Maciongas berühmt berüchtigte wine pairings, seine Erfahrung des Cuvetierens eigener Weine in Zusammenarbeit mit deutschen, französischen und spanischen Weingütern, bilden dazu die Perfektion und den Hochgenuß an Weinbegleitung.

The menu seems shorter than years past but perhaps that is wise given current staff constraints, since the quality has been 100% maintained. A seasonal special of lobster and chanterelle omelette was especially delectable. Other welcome touches such as the presentation of different flavoured chocolate thins are also still present. The views aren’t fancy but the quiet of a Berlin Mitte street on Saturday has a certain charm. Decent value for the area, the service & presentation and the quality. In fact would be cheap by equivalent London standards, 4.5 stars for value really.

Gegenüber des botanischen Garten, auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen „Königlichen Gärtnerlehranstalt“ befindet sich ein Paradies für alle Gartenenthusiasten, die Königliche Gartenakademie. Neben der Gärtnerei hat auch ein außergewöhnliches Restaurant dort seinen Platz gefunden.

An einem Ort wie diesem, umgeben von qualitätsvollen Pflanzen und schönster Natur, ist es für uns selbstverständlich, dass sich das Motto "saisonal und regional" nicht nur auf das Angebot der Gärtnerei bezieht, sondern sich auch auf der Speisekarte unserer Küche widerspiegelt. Einen Großteil unserer Produkte beziehen wir deshalb aus Berlin und Umgebung.

That duck is absolutely incredible!!!! Wow, we have never had better duck and we have experienced the Tour d'Argent in Paris! Margarita took great care of us and the manager and staff were very understanding of our young grandsons sitting through a 3 hr. Birthday dinner. Also the duck pizza was outstanding! Love the vibe, great music and food!!!!

It was a nice time overall, made a reservation for 19:00hrs for 3, to celebrate the birthday of my friend. We were ushered in gracefully and also seating options for inside or on the terrace were offered. The menu has a nice variety of different types of food, ranging from beef, chicken, veg, and also seafood. The service was amazing and the staff was nice, polite, and professional. Will go back again
