Executive Ashley Jones serves “New Southern” cuisine that utilizes fresh, local ingredients to create regionally inspired comfort food with bold flavors that are artistically presented in a relaxed and friendly environment. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with dinner at Milton’s. We were seated quickly on the porch, which was a little warm and slightly noisy, but quieter than the bar, which had live music going. Carla was a great server! She was efficient, helpful, and friendly. Carla and the manager had to handle a few issues with other tables around us, but they did so with an openness and kindness that was impressive. Our food was delicious! Rosemary bread and sorghum butter as our appetizer was yummy! Our salads (Caesar and spring harvest) were enormous and delicious. We got steaks for our mains—filet mignon and ribeye (both medium rare, both excellent). Our shareable sides: the broccolini was perfectly charred and wonderful while the buttermilk mashed potatoes were the only disappointment, very plain and bland. Kitchen was a bit slow due to an unexpected crowd in the garden area, but our food arrived at the perfect temperatures and in a lovely presentation. Carla spoiled us with a decadent dessert to celebrate our milestone anniversary—crème brûlée and champagne. It was an absolutely wonderful dining experience!

The cuisine is a combination of 1950s Tex-Mex and the wood grill that has taken the food to another level by way of fajitas and more. An “evolved Tex-Mex menu,” includes the classics: tacos, nachos, tamales and enchiladas plus more intricate dishes such as wood-grilled fajitas and shrimp tacos always served with just-made flour tortillas, all while paying homage to the traditions and recipes that have been a part of the Texas culture for decades.

Our server was great and the food was good. Tasted like homemade tortillas. We ordered the family size fajitas and it was enough to feed five us with a lot of leftovers! The host was not super friendly and we came about 20 minutes ahead of our reservation and she said she couldn’t seat us without really looking. When we came back at our time we ended up waiting another 20 minutes before finally sitting. Otherwise our main server was great and made up for the initial greet we received.

My friends and I visited for a mid week dinner outing, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was very nice and the restaurant was clean and upscale. Our server Dre was attentive and personable. Last but not least, all of our meals were delicious! They came out quick and hot. Excellent burger and fries, lemonade was a little weak. Overall great experience, and would recommend to anyone looking for a classy date night or outing with friends.
