Located between the Delaware River and Canal in Bucks County, the Golden Pheasant Inn offers fine dining and luxurious accommodations in a truly picturesque setting. We are only one hour and thirty minutes from New York City or Philadelphia, and only 25 minutes north of New Hope, PA.
The Inn had previously been family-owned and operated for over 30 years by the Faure family. Jack Thompson, of the Thompson Organization and the Black Bass Hotel, purchased the Golden Pheasant in July of 2019 and plans to reopen in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Golden Pheasant Inn!

We were looking for a special place to celebrate our anniversary. The Golden Pheasant Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Our meal was delicious from soup, to salad, to entree to dessert. Every element was unique and delicious as were our cocktails. The setting was perfect for a relaxed meal. And Grace, our server, was charming, friendly and always there when needed but gave us space to enjoy our evening. Our best dining experience this year without question.

The Ghost Light Inn’s restaurant, Stella, is inspired by local ingredients from the region’s best farmers and artisans. The restaurant offers 100 seats with indoor and outdoor tables, and private dining spaces for events and gatherings. The outdoor patio displays sweeping views of the Delaware River. The main dining room offers a mix of freestanding tables and booths. During the winter months, reservations for outdoor tables are not available. However, you are more than welcome to make a note in your reservation that you would like to sit outside. The patio is heated.
Parking in New Hope can be hard to come by. The parking lot located in front of Stella is owned and operated by the Bucks County Playhouse. Stella cannot validate parking. When valet is present the cost to park is $30. When valet is not available, spaces are metered and paid for via the ParkMobile app. 100% of all parking proceeds directly benefits the betterment of the Bucks County Playhouse.

Great food and service. Adam M. was very attentive. He stopped by several times to see if we needed anything. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The noise level is a bit high when the dining room is full.

Great experience overall. From the initial greeting, which was almost immediate, to the service, and the delicious food and drinks. We both had burgers (different choices) and both were delicious. Though fairly busy, didn't have to wait long for our food and our server knew when to check on us and when not to. Great night out!

Welcome to the Playhouse Deck! We've re-opened with a new chef, a new look, but the same fantastic views of the Delaware River. Located on the river side of the Buck County Playhouse, we cater to both theatergoers and those just in search of a great meal. Villa Barolo Ristorante and Wine Bar features creative Italian-inspired dishes using the fresh seafood and game meats. It offers at least four different organic specialties a day. Try its pan seared foie gras with grilled Portobello mushrooms and Belgium endive, its pheasant breast that is lightly seasoned and pan roasted and served with roasted chipollini and mushrooms, or a combination of caribou and lamb chops marinated with fresh garlic and rosemary drizzled with a honey rosemary demi-glaze. Other organic game meats served are antelope, elk, ostrich, kangaroo and wild boar. Villa Barolo Ristorante and Wine Bar has a full-service bar with its signature creations as well as traditional cocktails. Hosted lunch for the companies executives and Board Members visiting from various locations. All were impressed with the food options and noted that the meals were delicious. The place was empty given it had just opened for the day which was nice. The group noted service was also excellent, and overall were very pleased with their visit to Villa Barolo. We will utilize their services again in the future!
