Owners Wes and Chris Wheeler invite you to enjoy our Contemporary American Cuisine where we utilize Classical French cooking techniques with global influences.
Our beverage program includes a full bar, wonderful local craft beers, and a 150 bottle wine list with 50+ wines by the glass for which Undercurrent has been recognized by both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. We have been rated consistently tops in our class of restaurants.
The ambiance is truly one of the nicest in the area with ample space for you while dining. We now have a truly fabulous patio area. We seat our patio on a "first come first served basis".
A comfortable bar area is available for dining from our full menu or to begin or end your dining experience with us.

Our Menus sources our ingredients from the area's best purveyors and local farmers. Our wine list is a well balanced list of classic and off the beaten path wine selections and our back bar is filled with numerous Bourbons, Scotch, & Whiskies to try. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive. Our drinks from the bar were delicious. The Burrata salad was lacking (bread should be toasted in olive oil first). We had to ask for salt and pepper to give it some ooomf. The crab cakes were very good. The Milanese chicken was cooked well but was also lacking something. It came with a”side” of arugula, pear, and fennel but that did not do enough. Giada has a wonderful Milanese recipe using fennel, mascarpone and tomato which I hope they will look at. The four cannoli for desert were good but not outstanding. Will try some other options next time,

Probably the best meal I’ve ever had in Greensboro (and I’ve lived here 48 years)! The brussel sprout salad came with a delightful vinaigrette, followed by an entree of perfectly cooked scallops accompanied by risotto with toasted sunflower seeds and vegetables and two kinds of mushrooms and a perfectly cooked poached egg. The salad and entree were generous portions. The pot de crème was a dish of creamy decadence with chocolate, butterscotch and a lovely piece of toffee. The cocktails aren’t to be missed either. The server was attentive without being overbearing. I could go on and on!

We did several plates of the shareable items among 4 of us and highly recommend! You get to try many different things and enjoy the fantastic food. Drinks are also amazing.

My husband and I were looking for some place new to celebrate our anniversary and hubby's birthday. My neighbors had eaten at one in another state and suggested your place. Food and services and ambiance was off the chain! So happy for everything ! Thank you for everything. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
