Located in the heart of Bala, Muskoka, The Pearl is a destination food market during the day & vibin snack bar at night where “old country” and contemporary intersect. Led by a team of culinary experts, focused on mixing flavor-driven cuisine with the simplicity and comforts of cottage life.

What started as a vision of a cool, welcoming spot in the heart of Muskoka was then explored, researched and fine-tuned by TOBEN Hospitality Group owners Toben Kochman, Elana Kochman and Ryan Feldman. After putting their heads together and harmonizing their ideas, they arrived at The Pearl.

The Brunch / Lunch Menu offers a variety of fresh selections enjoyable for the whole family. Reservations not available for Brunch / Lunch.

The Dinner Menu at the Pearl continuously evolves and focuses on communal eats in the form of small & large share plates or "tapas". It is the perfect atmosphere for guests to disconnect from their day and reconnect with one another.

We're a vibey little restaurant + cocktail bar from the folks who made 416 Snack Bar, just a short turn around the corner. We don't call ourselves a diner, but we have some diner classics for sure - along with some more elegant plates from a range of cuisines, some snacky plates, and maybe the prettiest omelet in town.

Start with the coldest martini in the city, move on to aguachile, Singaporean chicken rice or our beauty of a cheeseburger, and then then pick from the cocktail list or ask a bartender for something to your taste. Bless us by dining solo or come with a group. Happy hour runs 12-6pm daily featuring the whole list at $10 a pop. Are we mad? We must be!

The space was designed to conjure up train bars of a bygone time. A short turn is ordinarily the annoying experience of having your car re-routed, having to get off and transfer - here, you step into an experience of unique hospitality, snacks and libation.

Our Wood-Fire Pizzas are a cross between Roma and Neapolitan styles; cooked in a wood-burning M.A.M pizza oven imported from Italy. It yields a crust that is thin but sturdy. Wood-fire capabilities are critical for our menu as the flavour imparted on the food is exceptional and unique.
