The Hartwood Restaurant enjoys a rich history. The originally the headquarters of the Harmar Coal Company. Purchased in 1988, the building was transformed into retail space, including antiques and a bookstore. Café tables were soon added amongst the book shelves, Over the years, The Hartwood Restaurant has evolved into a charming and unique place for meals, drinks, and events. The elegant dining rooms and a pub featuring hand-tooled woodwork and stained glass artwork.
The Hartwood also features outdoor dining in a garden-like atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace. Whisper’s Pub features an eclectic wine list from around the world with more than a dozen different wines by the glass, as well as seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and wine flights.

Blending the charm of a European café with a cozy, modern ambiance—complete with a welcoming fireplace—it's a warm escape in the vibrant Market Square area. Our full dinner menu pairs with a curated selection of wines and craft cocktails, perfect for casual nights or special occasions.

We're on the second floor, up one flight of stairs. Elevator access is available upon request. Our entrance is just left of The Aperitivo Club.
