The menu includes small plates to enjoy at the bar or before a meal, such as white truffle popcorn and fried pickles. Larger appetizers such as hot wings and duck quesadillas are also available. Meals at Rye House may include a truffle grilled cheese, a roasted mushroom plate, a filet mignon or blackened fish tacos.
We loved sharing the Filet Mignon sandwich!
Delicious and cooked perfectly. There’s also a large selection of craft beer. This was a good find.
Love this place. Great for brunch - super quiet. More energetic at night but always a good time.
Excellent food and a nice ambience. Service was good and no rush to finish our meal.
Seating area is tight and very loud but the food and cocktails are amazing! Service was good, very friendly staff.
Brilliant waiter, Javier, turned us into junior wine aficionados!
I was a little surprised when the server placed our drinks but then ran away with our napkins, silverware, and menus, assuming we weren’t going to eat. I flagged her down and she returned the menus, but it was about fifteen minutes before she reappeared to take our order. Probably busy with the other 2 occupied tables.
Great food and service! Lively crowd, good fun. Loved the burgers and truffle popcorn and great choice of beers.
Will be coming back as long as you offer the beef jerkey.
The cocktails were good but not great value for money. Appetizers incl the cheese plate could be better - although the Rye burger was good. Pretty loud and not so comfortable seats
Its always good to pop into the Rye House.
Old school burgers that always satisfy
The best shisito peppers in New York
And good strong coffee
A bit loud right after work
Noise thins by 9
Obviously go if you're a lover of whiskey, Bourbon or rye. I had an amazing cocktail from the menu that used a jalapeño infused bourbon. Heaven. The cheddar curds should not be missed. I had the Korean fried chicken sandwich which was yummy. My husband's fish tacos were fine. Overall pretty good.
Their Truffle Grilled Cheese is just amazing. The range of whiskey isn't bad either - great place for a quiet lunch, gets very crowded after work hours.
Been here a couple times and will definitely be back again. I had the burger with an Old Fashioned and both were delicious. It was bitter cold outside so the back was empty except for us.
Good food, good drinks. Great for groups or small parties alike. Service was a little slow, but they only had one server for the entire back dining room so have to cut them some slack there. Overall a great experience, will be back!
great place for whiskey, rye and bourbon drinks. They have everything as well as a knowledgable bartender, Peter who knows his stuff and makes a great cocktail!
Sometimes was difficult to hear over the noise in the restaurant. Salmon was very overly salty. Ok for everyday dining but nothing standout.
Little loud but enjoyable experience Our server waiter was very nice
Nice little spot that's a stone's throw from Union Square. Food & service were very good. Decor and vibe is cool.
I’m all about the food and in my opinion the food was average at best. I liked my cocktail though.
Decent menu very poorly executed. Will not be returning
It was very hot in the dining area to the point of sweating. Granted it was a humid, rainy day. Might be better on a cold day. Service wasn't great at first as we sat for 10-15 minutes before our drink order was taken. However, it got better after that. Food was good and the whiskey selection was nice. The acoustics aren't great so it gets very loud and hard to hear the person across from you.
The Rye House was a nice place. Service was good and the food was very good. I thought the lighting was a little too low however. Al-in-all my experience was great.
Tasty food and very good service. Comfy large tables w. benches.
Would have stayed longer if it wasn't so warm and humid in the dining area.
It was nice to have a table waiting for us. The front was a bit crowed but was much better in the back. The service and food were great. I enjoyed a specialty drink before dinner, something like the red lipstick. It was a beautiful color. We indulged in closure with an ice cream sandwich- vanilla ice cream between oatmeal cookies. perfect.
Had a great feel to it but the back area was so incredibly hot we were sweating at the table. I mentioned it t to the waitress and she said yeah I know, I’m hot too! The bar area was at least 20 degrees cooler so the air was working. I loved the food, but won’t go back in summer.
Great food, service, and decor!
Legit, friendly staff, quick service, will be back when possible.
We came here as a large group and we were served well. Good selection of beers on tap plus awesome appetizers and pub grub for entrees.
Great meal! We made a mistake with our reservation and they were very accommodating.
We went to Rye House for a business lunch and we were seated quickly . The menu offered plenty of choices and everyone enjoyed their meals. Two of us had burgers and the others had salads.
The ambiance was really nice and it would be a fun place to go after work for drinks.
Took my dad here. Way too loud and cramped but food was good
been here a few times before. As always, food and drinks were both great. Service was excellent. Been here as part of 2, 4, and now 8 (with kids) ... worked like a charm each time.
Great neighborhood gastro-pub. Wonderful cocktails and delicious comfort food. Buzzy bar scene but cozy and quieter for weekend brunch.
Great lunch special with a full portion salad and a full portion sandwich for $16, we couldn't finish it all but I would definitely go back. The food is always good but I had only gone after work when its very crowded but I was pleasantly surprised by the lunch scene which was much calmer.
Really attractive space and one of the best BLTs I've ever had (this one with turkey bacon). Great fries, too. More lunchy than brunchy, though a few egg dishes.
Food and service was good but for some reason the table was very sticky. Maybe from constant beer dropping on table.
Enjoyed the casual dining, making the quick reservation was so easy. The bar area was filled with a lively crowd, dining area was comfortable and intimate. Service was awesome, and the food was wonderful, prices great too. And being an Irishman, the whisky selection was great, will have to stop in again on my next visit to New York
Pretty terrible food. Pretty terrible service
Delicious food and great for our small group. The brunch special (brunch meal + cocktail for $20) was outstanding. Each dish we got was delightful (especially the Huevos Benedict)! It's also very central (close to Union Square), but not too touristy so was a perfect for a group meeting spot. Definitely plan to go again!
