We were seated at a very quiet booth in the corner. The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress made the night even better! Will definitely be back.

We went to Ruvo East on Mother’s Day unaware that there was a pre fixed menu. The food was average quality but the prices were absurd!! $55 for tagliatelle bolognese??? Pasta?? Really?? The $55 included an appetizer and dessert. Drinks were extra. In total we had 3 glasses of wine and 1 sangria and the total bill came to $280!!! Happy Mother’s Day!!

Went there for mother’s day. When We got there the only option was a 3 course price fixed lunch that was more of a dinner menu. We were not to pleased and was overpriced for lunch. While the food was good. It was not what we were expecting

I ordered filet mignon and was disappointed with the gravy and it did not seem to be seasoned or cured properly. @ $60 for Mothers day brunch ( $170 total...for my 2 children & I)
I expected it to melt in my mouth. (Like Tellers & Primi )
Also, pudding was like soup. LOVE THE AMBIANCE...would recommend a new chef. Sorry

Great family gathering and everyone enjoyed their meals mostly! We were disappointed with the selection of desserts and we always save room for dessert! The strawberry banana cake was dry and just a banana as a layer in the middle and some strawberries on top! Just surprised I guess because mostly the appetizers and meals were good! (My son's pasta was undercooked so he just ate the veal meatballs!) Perhaps they were having an OFF NIGHT?! Our first time there was so much better!!!

We went during restaurant week and ordered from that menu. The food was fantastic, we both enjoyed our choices immensely and it seemed everyone around us also were enjoying their choices. The service was top notch. We had not been there in a while but will definitely return sooner.

In Ruvo's defense - we went on a night during restaurant week : However I would definitely recommend the one in Greenlawn over the one in Port Jeff any day. Not only is it a little bit classier in my opinion but the food was much better. I've been to the Greenlawn one - since I used to live in Huntington, but my boyfriend and I now live in Lake Grove - so this being the closer option we decided to give it a shot!

The service was very good - especially considering it was such a busy night but the food was only sub par.

We started off with the burrata - which was only average quality - although the Bruschetta that came along with it was pretty good. You could tell however that whoever seasoned it - must have been new or perhaps rushed it. Some parts were straight up cheese - others were so overly salty it was a bit much.

Next, we had the mussels and asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. The mussels were very good! Probably the best dish of the night next to the dessert. The asparagus however? A little bit under cooked and the prosciutto was not only VERY salty (and we eat a lot of prosciutto) but it resembled more of a ham... There was also an overwhelming amount of beans on the plate below.

For our main dishes : my boyfriend had the wild mushroom linguine with scallops and I had the short rib risotto. The linguine was very bland on flavor and the scallops were very over cooked. My short rib resembled a cream of mushroom soup... I LOVE the short rib risotto at Old Fields in Greenlawn so expecting something similar - I was very disappointed.

Then for dessert he had the cheesecake which he said was very delicious and I have the strawberry banana shortcake - which was also good.

For a relaxing night out - with good live musical performance on select nights - I would recommend this but for the food not so much... I'd much rather Pasta Pasta or somewhere else unfortunately.

We had a very upsetting end to our lunch, and I am waiting for a response to my personal note to RUVO before I do a review of the restaurant.

Upon receiving a telephone call from Ken Myers, Manager of RUVO, he has happily rectified the problem we had with the restaurant. I am looking forward to going back to RUVO soon, with my high school friends from 1965, and have a wonderful lunch. I must say that we were very happy with the food, ambiance and price of the lunch that we had and plan to try yet another of the specials. Perhaps we will make it dinner next time.

I came here for brunch with a friend. The food was great and we had a wonderful time. The service was a little slower than I would have expected, only because it wasn't packed. We didn't specifically reserve a booth so we were at a center table, which was fine but close to other tables so lacked a bit of privacy. Overall, we had a good experience and would return.

Nice restaurant; however, not great. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary and the same to say about the whole experience. We did feel the service was rushed to turn over the table. Each step from drinks to desert was pushed along and didn’t leave us any wiggle room for conversation. Eat and get out was clearly implied by the server as the drink menu was given to us immediately and she returned moments later for the order, to bringing us a dinner menu with our drinks, to returning for our order several minutes late, to bringing our food out in record breaking time, to picking up our food the minute we placed a fork down, to dropping our check before dessert was over or we could order a cordial. Efficient service, but rushed. Also, be cautious because the happy our drink menu is given to you at your table, but those prices aren’t allowed at the table and only apply if you’re at the bar.

I asked for Cabernet and the wine that was given was subpar. I’m usually offered a choice of 2 but not that evening. We also weren’t given bread until we asked. I didn’t complain as it was very busy. Our server was lovely and good was very good. Overall a pleasant experience. Food and service are always consistent.
