Ruth's Chris Steak House - Woodland Hills Ratings and Reviews
Had a wonderful meal. Everything was perfect tonight as we celebrated my wife’s birthday. The ribeye and filet were perfectly cooked, as usual. Great, attentive service. My son’s first time there and he was blown away by the ribeye. Will continue to come back.
Always the best food and service. We go there twice a year for each other’s birthdays - unless you get a spot in the back, it gets a bit loud. Very expensive, but service it top notch. If you contact the restaurant a few days in advance and ask for the banana cream pie, they will make it special for you (absolute heaven!)
Six of us dined for 2 special birthdays. Arrived at 5:30PM, table was set up beautifully and at
this hour the restaurant was empty. Service was slow and we did not leave until 8:15PM. Food
came out slow as there was long intervals between courses. Some steaks were tender and some were not - overall not the quality of Prime Beef that is usually served at Ruth Chris.
Every chance I get If there is a Ruth Chris in the state that I am in I will go And whoever I bring with me loves the food and the atmosphere Never had a bad Stake Unfortunately I live in Reno Nevada now No Ruth Chris So now I have to go to California are Las Vegas but it's worth it
Ruth’s Chris Woodland Hills never disappoints. My server, Jeff Zimmerman (“Zim”) ALWAYS provides superlative service! He makes me feel like a queen. Zim is one of the main reasons why I frequent Ruth’s Chris. When I need a pick me up after a hard day or week , Zim is there to make things better!
It is a wonderful resturant has the best steak I have ever had, the problem was that people were
bringing YOUNG Babies who screamed all through dinner for such an expensive place they should perhaps have a section for young children it was very upsetting and spoiled the ambiance.
The food was great, it was definitely large portions. The restaurant was pretty crowded, and we were at first seated in a corner in the way back of the restaurant. They kindly obliged when we asked to change tables. The service was good, but could have been better. The restaurant is on the pricey side, but most people probably know that before dining there. All-in-all, a fun night out with friends, and we would dine there again.
We celebrated my brother's birthday here. Ruth's Chris made the occasion special with birthday confetti on the table, a personalized menu that said happy birthday, Padric, and a complementary dessert that also had happy birthday written in chocolate. It was a nice personalized touch and made him feel special. Food and cocktails were delish.
Our server Nicole made our dining experience so much more pleasant. She is knowledgeable, offered great wines that we loved, accommodating to a gluten free diet, gave plenty of suggestions that we would not have thought before... Such as sweet potato casserole without the toppings.. Super delicious. Wonderful.
This is the first time I’ve been to Ruth’s Chris in about 8 or so years(same location). I remember being a bit disappointed by it last time but I thought I’d give it another try. The steak was actually decent. The sides and everything else was horrible. Seemed like premade crap that the cooks just through together. They were some of the worst mashed potatoes I’ve ever had in my life and to have them at a “high end steakhouse?” Unnacceptable. Their “famous” lobster Mac and cheese tasted like boxed Mac and Cheese. It had a gritty texture to it and was so greasy. Overall for 4 people the bill was $320 and I would have been mad if the bill for that meal was $200. Think of it as a gimmicky better Outback Steakhouse. For the same money go to Mastro’s in Thousand Oaks.
We had a gift card and a big birthday to celebrate so we decided to give this high-end, white tablecloth, steakhouse a try. Our menu was custom made with the birthday boy's name and a big happy birthday on it! Nice touch! Our waiter was WONDERFUL. He made the night fun and special. Our caesar salad and calamari were very good. But the steaks and sides were just WAY too rich because they add butter to everything. The ribeye and the filet came swimming in it. YUCK! We had mashed potatoes, crab fried rice and creamed spinach for our sides and would not recommend any of them. Sadly, this was an overall disappointing meal and HORRENDOUSLY expensive! If you want to pay that kind of money, try Morton's or Mastro's.
We were very impressed with the special attention we received. It was our 60th wedding anniversary and we were congratulated by the maitre d' upon our arrival. Our occasion was printed at the top of the menu as was a card on our table. Eduardo was our server and, although he was very busy, gave us excellent service and even brought us a free pastry for dessert in recognition of the occasion.
I've been to Ruth's Chris for dinner several times in Woodland Hills and I am never disappointed. Our group of eight was celebrating a birthday and a wedding anniversary and we all felt special. Lee, our server, was amazing and our three teenage boys had an experience they won't soon forget. From the moment we entered until the moment we left, every detail was considered. From our names listed in the menu and the confetti on the table to the outstanding but not intrusive service and everything in between. But the food, oh the food! The steaks were prepared perfectly as ordered and the sides were perfect. We had the creamed spinach, au gratin potatoes, mashed potatoes, asparagus, brussels sprouts and crab cakes - I would highly recommend all of them. I can't wait to save up enough money to go again!!! Lol.
