Wonderful evening celebrating a 30th Bday and my daughter having her first baby soon.
We were very pleased with our dinner. Everything was delicious and the staff excellent!!
Everything was good. From waiter to appetizer to main course to dessert you will not be disappointed. Sizzling hot plate that your steak comes out in is everything.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very romantic.
The service was absolutely amazing, very attentive !! Would definitely go back again
I noted that we were celebrating our aunts birthday and they made the table very festive and brought her a special birthday dessert. It was lovely
The prices have increased since last visit. For our family, it is only visited for very special occasions.
We ate here on Easter and have many times before. Food was good but the restaurant was packed. I had to walk thru a very narrow aisle to get back to my table. I slipped on a drinks tray the wait staff haphazardly left on the ground and sprained my hand while grabbing to regain my balance. Staff barely noticed and said nothing.
We were sat at a deuce against the wall which was fine but no more than three minutes later, asked to move to a different table because the waiter was openly complaining to the hostess about table rotation. The server was very good (Santiago) but the Caesar salads didn’t have the Parm crusts that they normally come with in other RC restaurants we visit. The béarnaise sauce that was severed with our steaks was literally 1/8 volume of the ramekin that it was served in (brought out by the food runner) the waiter corrected it but the damage was done. Overall, we expect more from Ruth Chris given the price point that this brand lives at. Charge more, give more (and I don’t mean more food). I doubt that we will visit this restaurant ever again.
Food was not good, French fries for kids meal were terrible. Like they had been sitting under heating lamp for weeks. Hard, greasy and disgusting.
Not sure what happened to kids meal filet. My daughter couldn't eat it. Same with mine.
Very disappointing as one of the reasons I normally go to Ruth's Chris is for consistency of quality of their meals.
We have been to this restaurant many times, always enjoyed the food and service. A recent visit clearly indicating something is terribly wrong in their kitchen. Two $62 steaks were returned. One was over cooked the other undercooked. They deducted one from the bill and it was still $500 for four people who are not big drinkers. Service,is,still very good.
expensive but worth it. excellent high quality food and drink. excellent service.
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is almost always spot on and the staff is always helpful and friendly. A bit expensive but I go only for special occasions or the rare date night with my wife so it's a splurge that's well worth it for me.
Food as always was excellent. The only thing better than the food was our server Michael. All his recommendations were on point and was very attentive to our table the entire evening. A++
It's probably not fair to rate a restaurant during Restaurant Week. It is more crowded than usual. On the other hand the restaurant should do their best to attract customers for the future. Right away there was a problem as they did not honor our reservation time and we had to wait almost half an hour. We would have left if we knew it would take that long but they said they were just clearing the tables and it would be minutes! We should have realized, the entrance was packed with people waiting. With no room for us we went to the bar and ordered two glasses of wine that cost more than dinner. The bar was packed with people w/o reservations who walked in and were seated at the tables in the bar area. We did evtually get a nice table. The service was fine, the salad very ordinary, the mashed potatoes inedible, the steak and creamed spinach was good. I took one bite of the dessert and left the rest. The question is do we go back and see if the food is better when we pay full price? I doubt it.
We have dined at this establishment many times one of our faves!! On Sunday March 25th We went for dinner for my sons 16th Birthday and we had a terrible incident. My mother choked on her steak, shout out to the waiter Don for dropping everything and stepping in!! We were running thru the restaurant screaming for help and to call 911. Luckily a Dr heard our screams and came running to her rescue and ultimately saved her life!! When walking out of the restaurant we questioned the manager to why 911 had not been called and no help had come to her, the manager claimed that she did call 911 and took it upon herself to cancel the call when she looked OK. That was not her or the restaurants decision to cancel 911 she should’ve been checked out regardless if she had stop choking, she was blue in the face and on the verge of passing out. This did not sit well with me and I called the next day to speak to the general manager not looking for anything except to let them know that I thought it was negligence on their part and for the future they should not do that again. His response to me was that he has trustworthy staff and they told him that someone in our party went to the hostess desk to cancel 911. We were not even aware of the fact that that they supposedly called 911 until we were leaving the restaurant. One question I do have is, has anyone ever heard of someone canceling 911 once called? Exactly!!! They never called 911!! The General Manager had the nerve to call me a liar and that he believes his staff. He promised to have his superior call me and 1 week later I have yet to receive a call! I will never frequent this establishment again and I suggest all go with caution!
Everything was perfect. The waiter, Santiago, a total gentleman and extremely attentive. You couldn't ask for more.
our waiter was amazing think his name was Tom very attentive
The service was outstanding and appreciated.
I wish other restaurants would train their staff like Ruth Chris.
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary (which our waiter, Michael, was aware of) and while waiting to be seated two other groups suggested other restaurants to go to as they exited because the service was “God awful here tonight.” We were ignored throughout the entire meal as he went and catered to three other tables in such an attentive manner. By the time we finally got his attention and asked for the check he had an attitude and said he wanted to get us “something for our anniversary” but it seemed as though he felt guilty for his service. I’m very disappointed considering I’ve been to many other Ruth’s Chris locations and we’ve always had impeccable service to accompany our delicious meal.
Well he had reservations and was told we had to wait and extremely ten minutes which ended up being more than 30. We were finally served about 30 mins after ordering. We were there from 8:45 until maybe 12 am. Keep in mind it was restaurant week so they were very busy.
Great place! Great food... the shrimp and mash potatoes ....divine!
Truly fine dining, worth the experience and expense. Upscale ambience, impeccable service and very tasteful meal choices. My salmon over spinach was cooked to perfection! I will definitely recommend to others as well go back myself.
Dinner and waiter were fantastic. Table was right near the door so there were people constantly walking by the table.
Best meal I have had this year the service was excellent the food top notch will definitely be back . Talk to your waiter I had a question about what to order he steered me to a great combo, was there for anniversary it was a nice touch table was decorated with rose petals and little happy anniversary signs
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Ruth’s Chris. Our food was prepared to perfection and our waitress, Sandra, was attentive without being intrusive. I wish every meal we ever ate out was like this.
I tried their crab cakes this time. They were really good.
It took a long time that we got together in the restaurant. However, restaurant staffs were very kind for us to wait for and serve us. Steak of lunch menu for the restaurant week was very nice.
We visited Ruth's Chris for lunch during HV Restaurant Week. The service was excellent, but we found the food not to be as good as in the past. The appetizers (either salad or tomato soup) were a bit disappointing. The filet mignons were somewhat overcooked. The meal was still good, but not exceptional - as it has been in the past.
As usual, just a great meal at RCW. No one has or presents steak better!
Had a very pleasant experience, from the greeting at the door through dinner and its conclusion. Food was great, service exceptional and ambiance formal without being stuffy. All in all, an excellent restarant.
Good for a steakhouse but there are better. They warn you that all meats are dipped in butter and salt. And now- men AND WOMEN must remove hats at the door. Tables are crowded together and waiters need training to not lean over people but to walk around the table. Basic things like that.
Food was excellent but service was a little slow - understandable since it was during Restaurant Week.
food was excellent service was OK. It was very busy I'm assuming because it was restaurant week. I also had a 630 reservation and didn't sit until 715. The food was very good so I will try it again
Food was good.
Third time there and still bad. Service very very slow. Little communication at best. Steaks not impressive for their astronomical prices. Go to Benjamin’s - 50x better
My friend and I went for lunch during Restaurant Week. The food and service were amazing. My only issue was that there were no other options other than the Restaurant Week menu,I would have liked to have other appetizer options. I will still give it five stars.
This restaurant only serves lunch during Restaurant "week" periods, and I try to get there each time that happens. I'm not going there because of the special prices - it's that there are so few fine restaurants in Westchester that serve lunch, and so that makes this opportunity special. Having said that, the waiter told me that the Monday I was there, they had reservations for 30 people vs. 400 on Sunday afternoon. I don't know if it is because they don't advertise enough or that there is not enough natural demand for a nice lunch in Westchester. In either event, I do hope they continue to participate in this restaurant week event.
Yes be been to this restaurant a number of times in the past and this time around it seemed as if we were an afterthought to the staff. The waitress was slow and got the initial drink order incorrect, then brought the wrong side order.
Great food + great service = great experience for special occassion
