The waitress was attentive and effective. Delivery of food was as ordered for the occasion. All done in a comfortable manner. Reservation made in a timely manner, desk staff had to be reminder as they selected seating.
Great food, service, friendly place , repeat customer.
It was a Wednesday and not crowded at all but yet they still stuck us (my birthday dinner with husband and two older sons) in a back room where a huge loud group of corporate people were dining. They had up a very tacky divider so we could not see the group but had to raise our voices to hear each other. I did not ask to change seats because my children get embarrassed. It also seemed that our waiter was more interested in being somewhere else and was in a hurry for us to eat. There are lots of expensive steak houses out there, I would not recommend this one.
tcav please rest assured that in this Ruth's Chris, as well as all others, our intention is to provide the highest and finest quality with regard to both food and service, not to mention hospitality - much like Ruth would have done herself. We will address your concerns with our team and we hope you will give us another chance to serve you again in the future. Thank you!
We've gone to Ruth's Chris both here and in Florida for a number of years. Frankly, they are not as good as they used to be.
1) crab cakes more breads and less crab than before
2) Petite filet on last occasions grizzle
Service was outstanding. Food was just ok
We were promptly greeted and seated at our reservation time. Quality of meal was excellent and the service even better.
We were celebrating 2 birthdays and our daughters Deans List achievement with our cousins. The food was excellent although a little too pink for me. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. All in all it was a wonderful dinner for everyone.
We enjoy going to Ruth Chris for special occasions. Steaks are consistently excellent. We love the sweet potato casserole too. Highly recommended.
Michael was great, and the food cooked to perfection.
I order the Filet mignon med to well done. Was well done
The food is usually great here. However they scaled down so far for Restaurant Week, that I would not recommend it. There is a choice of two salads, four entrees and one dessert. If you don''t like what they offer, tough! They also scaled down the portions.
It worked for me because I dont need to eat the big piece of cheesecake that they usually offer, but this was cupcake size!
I'm always happy to be at Ruth's Chris steak house 🏘️
Dinner was great everything was cooked perfectly. Server was very nice and had great energy.
Had restaurant week menu and was surprised by excellent dinner. Our servers were friendly, efficient, and professional. We will return when we return to the area during the year.
Even though crowd has changed recently and place discounted itself in that matter from being classy to becoming more of thuggish crowd food is still good . We keep coming there because of Mike Dimateo for last 15 years . He is really at this point main reason we go there
Great service especially at the bar - Frank is tops and so is Sal
A good steak in a nice place.
We enjoy the Hudson Week prices.
I wouldn't come back at full price.
Never disappointed! High quality steaks for HVRW. Very Professional, excellent service, (Michael & Sal) just go if you enjoy a good steak in a steakhouse setting!!
Filet was excellent. Restaurant week menu very limited. Only two appetizers to chose from and both were salads. Caesar salad was bland. Only one dessert on restaurant week menu. Service and ambiance as always were excellent
Great service and great food! I love the restaurant week menu! Worth the trip!
Great place and always a pleasure
Dinner for my wife’s birthday and 1st time my son was there. Our visits here are never a disappointment and I highly recommend to anyone to visit
Filet mignon and as delicious.
Service was excellent
Always an outstanding meal & experience! Highly recommend
Food was amazing- great value with the restaurant week special!!!! Service was excellent
It was crowded, I was unaware it’s restaurant week. The blackberry sidecar was amazing, all the food was great, and good and friendly service.
Had gone to the restaurant dressed elegantly even though it stated "Business Casual". Had to wait some time and ask a few people to get our server. Everyone else was dressed DOWN. In ripped jeans, black t shirts and sneakers. Men and Women. It was disgraceful. The food was good but very, very hot plates. There is no reason for the plates to be sizzling hot. One could burn themselves and sue the restaurant. You need to ENFORCE a DRESS CODE. A man who goes in quite often in jeans and sneakers should not be treated like royalty waited on hand and foot while women dressed elegantly are treated with disregard. Its a lovely restaurant but it needs to enforce rules of who can be served and let in with a dress code. There was one at one time. Even in a post pandemic world, one should be dressed up to be allowed service NOT coming in straight from a gym workout regardless of how wealthy they claim to be. AND PLEASE POST A NO DOGS IN RESTAURANT POLICY. One does not want to have someone's FIDO roaming over to a table for food. While we did not see a dog I would hope the establishment will hold to that policy even though they allow dogs in restaurants. The prices should set a standard for class and stick to it.
WorldlyGirl, at Ruth’s Chris, we pride ourselves on providing all of our guests with outstanding hospitality. We want each of our guests to feel welcome and comfortable, and the dress code is intended to support our goal. We would like to look into this situation further and speak with you directly. Please send a direct message to us including your name and phone number so we can reach out and learn more about your experience. Thank you.
Filet mignon, shrimp, stuffed chicken, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake were incredible.
We went during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. While the food was delicious the choices for the promotion were very limited. Unlike other comparable restaurants.
My parents have never been to Ruth’s Chris, so I brought them to share my numerous positive experiences with this steakhouse.
We all had filet mignon + shrimp and red sangria.
Absolutely a success, great service, attentive and prompt; good was just as we each ordered it and the ambiance was good.
They want to come back already, so we’ll be seeing you again soon!
We love Ruth Chris! Staff & food are always great!
Excellent experience as always. Covid protocols were exceptional. Felt so safe and like a private experience.
Great. They didn’t have lamb chops on this day.
Very good experience as always. Good value, not great, definitely a solid choice for a special meal
If this was my first experience with this establishment I would not return. The soup was warm and the flavor was off. The food was ok. My first experience was at a different location. My next visit will be there and not this location.
My waiter was excellent
Server was very kind, even giving us a free dessert when he heard it was our anniversary celebration.
We’ve been coming here for 14 years. The food never disappoints.
I've been many times. This was the worst, and last, time I will go here. My husband and waited for the other two people in our party at the bar. They arrived, and our table was still not ready, so we waited and no one came to ask them for a drink order. Our waiter was inattentive and seemed to be on speed or something. We had to ask two times for the (very limited) wine list. I asked for medium rare filet and it was well done. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were flavorless, the bread pudding was a big glop of mush. Salt and pepper came in individual plastic cups (because of Covid, so tacky), just wipe them down. The bread was crispy and warm, and the sweet potato casserole was so sweet, we saved it for dessert. Never again. Shame on you Ruth's Chris!
