   Our food was delicious, but the wait staff accidentally hit one of our glasses of water and some spilled, I caught it before it completely tipped over, but they never brought a new glass. They forgot our salads and had to bring them with our meal. The food was very good. Our daughter’s steak was more med rare than med, but my husband and I’s steaks were cooked as ordered. We didn’t get water refills, or asked if we wanted any other drinks. Our leftovers were boxed up and put into generic plastic thank you bags not the Ruth Chris to go bags. We also didn’t get offered any coffee or dessert. My daughter and I’s meals came with dessert, but my husband wasn’t offered anything. Although our food was good, our dinner was very expensive so for sub par service we still tipped over $70.00. It was a bit disappointing because we are accustomed to better service when dining at a Ruth Chris restaurant. The manager also asked the table next to us how everything was, but we were never asked.

   There were many issues with this visit that makes it one of less positive visits I have ever had to this restaurant. First, service was slow but that was the least of it. The Ahi appetizer took about 15 minutes to show up and my VERY over cooked filet showed up 2-3 minutes after. The gentlemen said he tried to hold it (which is prob why it was overcooked). My side dish NEVER arrived until I asked the other bartender for it. He then quickly ran it in and it showed up about 5 minutes later. In between my server was nice but was absent and I was the first person in the restaurant so she was not busy. Finally, a young man in a shirt and black cap who appeared to be talking to a manager (possibly interviewing) came up to me and said "dont eat here"! I said really, as I was already eating. He said ya "dont eat here" and he walked away. I later told my server as it was very odd someone would say that to a customer. I saw her talk to a manger and he never came over THE ENTIRE MEAL. Poor service, slow service and odd situations highlighted the very poor experience.

   Service was not great. Drinks came after the appetizers, salad was overdressed, side of mashed potatoes were not very hot, and the runner brought the wrong sides at first. And the porterhouse for 2 was slightly overcooked. I remember when the steaks were served, there was a presentation. This time around the steak was thrown on the table, and the server and runner were questioning the side dishes. Probably won’t go back again.

   Can never go wrong with Ruth Chris….this worked perfect for our group who were staying around Elmsford and Tarrytown. Excellent food, excellent service, was everything we wanted.

   The bone-in filet is a holiday tradition for us, and it was phenomenal again. Service was top-notch. Couldn’t ask for better!

   The value was good since it was during restaurant week. We got seated quickly so that was nice but the time it took for someone to come to us, to ask what we wanted to drink, to get the drink etc etc was abnormally long for it not being that busy. The appetizer (ahi tuna) was very good! I highly recommend that! My biggest disappointment, ironically being a steakhouse, was the steak! Two orders were medium rare and it came out more rare but it was fine for us… my boyfriend ordered his medium well (shocking since he normally orders it well) got it so rare it was practically black and blue. He was embarrassed to say anything (he totally should’ve ) but for a steakhouse I was shocked how drastically off the steak temp was done. As far an ambience goes it was clean and very old school elegant as opposed to Morton’s that’s classy but way more modern.

    Sadly filet mignons were not the top quality we have received in the past. Everything else was great!
