Everything was very good. I just don’t know that the food justifies the price. Our waiter was wonderful and since we were staying in hotel and couldn’t take left overs he guided us in what to order so we wouldn’t have too much food for one meal. I truly appreciated this help. Because extra food would have been wasted.
disappointing 700.00 dinner one filet ordered med came out rare, another ordered well came medium at best (closer to rare) considering they are a steak restaurant they should know how to properly cook a piece of meat as to how its ordered. besides being a cold night outside, it was a bit chilly inside the food at boca raton florida franchise is 100% better
For a place that is specialized in meat, I expected a lot more. They gave me Medium-Rare when I asked for Medium. I don't know about you, but I don't like chewing raw fat. Now I am not sure if the Porterhouse cut is not that good or if it was just this execution. The light was so low that you can't see what you are actually eating. I am not planning on going back.
Not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I have to admit when you get it right, you get it right. Every single Ruth Chris (and I have been to quite a few of them) do it right. The steaks, the service is always beyond my expectations. I love this restaurant and would highly recommend you go there at least once
We are repeat customers. Our waiter was not up to the usual standards. We had to ask the bus staff for steak sauce, more drinks, fresh pepper and he did not offer us steak sauce accompaniments like bernaise sauce until after we started eating. He refused to bring us a large seafood tower saying it was for 10 people. He kept asking if we knew how expensive things were that we were ordering like the 3 sides we choose. He also made a crack that we had no leftovers. We tipped him 20% anyway. Very disappointed. Won’t be back for a while.
The restaurant was very accommodating by combining our 2 reservations. When we arrived we were told it would be a few min, that they were a little behind.
After 15-20 min, we inquired again. Long story short, no apologies & we were seated about 40-45 min later.
While the staff was very nice, there were a few issues with service, a steak was over cooked & served with butter although it was specifically requested without. We had to ask for glasses for water & eating utensil for desserts. We had all been to other Ruth Chris's before, so we were very surprised. Afterward we had all agreed that for the price, etc, we should have eaten at the hotel.
Started with a wedge salad, then bbq shrimp and crab cake apps. (Highly recommend the crab cakes.) Ordered the Cowboy Ribeye for my entree and it was amazing, as usual. Cooked to perfection; it was tender, juicy and full of flavor! Ended off with some cappuccinos, bread pudding and was given a complimentary dessert for my birthday!
Ruth’s Chris doesn’t disappoint. From beginning to end, everything was excellent. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere, all perfect!
I've been to this location many times and this was the first time I've been disappointed. I had requested my filet mignon medium rare and it came medium and dry. Lonny and Lori are the best waiters there but their stations were filled. It took an exceptionally long time to also get out glasses of wines. I expected more
Second time dining here and the steak remains among the best I've ever had (and I've been to most major steak houses). The view never disappoints either at this location with clear views of lower Manhattan. I definitely record this Ruth Chris to anyone looking for a great night out in the NYC Metro.
I have been to Ruth's Chris many times in many cities, and have never been disappointed, however, Sunday"s visit was a total disappointment made worse by the fact that a birthday was being celebrated. I asked for a slice of lemon for my water and that never arrived. The worst part of the whole meal/experience was that the order for the steaks was reversed. I asked for my steak cooked medium while the birthday person asked for medium rare. My steak was cooked medium rare while the other person's was cooked almost medium well. UGH! Since we had another place to go after the meal, there wasn't time to send the food back and wait for it to be cooked as requested. Needless to say, this was not enjoyable on any level. Lastly, i ordered a cup of tea and was presented with a cup of hot water and a small pot of hot water and no teabag. After waiting to get the waiter's attention and by the time the tea selection arrived, the water was no longer hot. It was an overall unpleasant experience.
As a steakhouse the steaks were average. My husband had a ribeye which he wanted rare but it came medium well. They offered another but we didn't want to delay the meal. They did give him a free dessert.
Prices are very high which we dont mind paying when the food is worth it. I had the Chilean sea bass. Again very expensive but just average. Everything was a la carte . The mushrooms very good but the french fries were soggy.
Our server Charles was very attentive to us and his other customers. Charles remembered us from the last visit in June when we were there celebrating our anniversary. I highly recommend Charles to server you when you stop in for lunch or dinner at Ruth Chris Steak House in Weehawken.
We hadn't been to this location in a long time and we were pleasantly surprised. We requested a table with a view. Do so. It makes any occasion special. The service was good just not great. At those prices I expected a bit more pampering. It is pricey but the steaks and salads were really tasty. They treated the birthday boy with a free dessert. Dessert portions are fairly large and good for sharing. Order the ribeye and the cheesecake and you'll not be disappointed. And bring lots of $$$$. It is pricey. Valet parking in front a real plus!
Birthday dinner - 10 ladies and service was very slow even though we have two waters and multiple busboys. They would forget drinks, dessert, no check ins to see if food was good, etc. or needed anything. The restaurant was full, and the manager came by and even had to help with filling gaps where waters were lacking.
