First time visiting this Ruth Chris location and i have to say was not impressed at all! It was my 25th wedding anniversary they did nothing but sprinkle some hearts on table. The table we sat at was in the middle of dining area next to a loud group of men discussing real estate. There were plenty of tables by window with better view of NYC skyline which would have been nice due to the occasion for dining. Additionally it was a Mon evening and not busy at all.
When i dined in San Diego and i mentioned on the same day of booking reservation celebrating my brother’s birthday the menus were personalized with his name. Weehawken location lacked a lot in peronalabimitg and ambience.
Hostess was not even trying to act like she wanted to be there. Definitely a turn off for my first time visiting this establishment and my excitement of the reason for dining there.
The restaurant portion was great! However the Valet experience was horrible!!! They were extremely rude when picking up the car 20 minute wait. Asked for update 10 minutes in they were just disgusting.
Excellent service food was tasty no issues at all will be back again
My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and I put the reservation in as “anniversary”. I was kind of anxious as well, because this is a formal restaurant and we went in concert attire because we were headed to New York City for a concert afterward.
Service and Experience:
Despite feeling severely underdressed and I felt a little more self conscious than I thought I would, but waitress was very nice and accommodating. I was afraid my attire, as an 18 year old, would scare them into possibly not serving us but the service we received was marvelous! To start, our table was sprinkled with little hearts and the hostess said happy anniversary, an added bonus I did not expect to happen. It made the table more romantic and honestly subtle but very cute. Our waitress Natalka was so very nice and personable and made us feel at home, making our discomforts fade away. She treated us like normal customers and wasn’t biased against us because we were young 18 year olds. Part of the anniversary reservation for us included a free dessert, something I also did not expect. Our waitress offered to take a picture of us on our phone but also took a picture with our Polaroid. When ordering our food, our waitress was very informative of the menu, and helped us understand what double cut meant (although that may seem given to some customers, my girlfriend and I had never heard of it) as just one example of her extensive knowledge of the menu.
My girlfriend got the 11oz double cut pork chop with the apricot reduction, and I got the 8oz filet with truffle butter and Parmesan crust. The pork chop ran us ~$35 and the steak ~$54. The flavor that popped off of this steak made $54 seem like I was robbing this restaurant. The flavor on the pork chop as well was phenomenal. Hands down, the best steak, and pork chop I have ever eaten in my life. The Caesar salad was also done right, the croutons were an unsung hero of that dish.
Overall, I would definitely go again!!
It was our anniversary and the table had glitter heart and the end of oir dinner the server came out with a plate WITH dessert saying HAPPYAnniversary .the FOOD was great and the waitress was awesome. The Darby's from Newark NJ

Service was wonderful. The wait staff really took care of us. I started with a dirty goose martini – perfect! We went during restaurant week and decided to take advantage of that special menu. I had the lobster bisque as a starter. It was very good and served with delicious warm bread. For my entrée I had the petite filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, had great flavor, and stayed hot until the last bite. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake. Overall I would highly recommend. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.
Steak was over cooked and dry. Sweet potatoes were too sweet.
We went for lunch in Hudson restaurant week. Everything was excellent, as usual.
I came for Hudson Restaurant Week and had a good time! I started with the Lobster Bisque, which was just okay. I ordered a Petite Filet (rare) and came out perfect! I got the blue cheese crust and it went really well. I ordered the Sweet Potato Casserole as my side and it was the star! I would totally go back just for that! For dessert, I ordered the bread pudding. It wasn’t the same as the one I remember having before. Nonetheless it was still a good dinner.
My wife and I live at the apt complex nearby so we dine at this restaurant frequently. We headed over for dinner and were excited as it was restaurant week and wanted to take advantage of it. My wife ordered the lobster bisque, one of her favorite things at the restaurant, to start and realized there was no lobster in the soup. When we asked the waitress and she mentioned that for restaurant week, they do not add lobster to the soup? I am sorry for my confusion, but it did not mention that the lobster bisque came without the lobster? I am sure people who do not frequent there would not realize this, but we were really appalled by how cheap this was. We also contacted the General Manager directly to share our experience and never heard back from him - which only adds to the frustration.
We will likely not be going back to this restaurant and are incredibly disappointed in how they attempt to save a few dollars by skimping out on a dish.

We were a group of five people having lunch. The steak was outstanding! Also enjoyed the lobster bisque and dessert. The service was terrific. Special thanks to our server Nicole who is a wonderful asset for your restaurant. Her knowledge and warm friendly personality really added to our enjoyable experience!!
