Always a good meal with a great selection for the non meat-eating spouse!!
Disappointed. We have been coming to the Weehawken Ruth's Chris for many years but this last experience was a disappointment on several levels. First, the service although friendly was not as professional as it has been. There was confusion about what dishes went to what table and there were long waits between courses. It just seemed more chaotic due to less experienced staff. Also, the prices are quite high but the food not quite as good. We paid $11 for an order of plain steamed broccoli, for instance. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and the chocolate mousse for dessert wasn't as good as it has been in the past. Also the waitress pushed a more expensive glass of wine (my fault for not checking the price). Ruth's Chris has always been pricey but the food and service were so good we always felt it was worth it. This is the first time we felt it wasn't. We will give it another try some time but not for a while.
Not as good as previous experiences. Food was just ok. Brussel sprouts were underdone, overly firm. Only ordered one drink b/c the server was not there to order another. Disappointing in comparison to other times dining at Ruth Chris’ various locations.
Nothing to brag about
I have been to less (and more) expensive restaurants and received far better service. My significant other and I were there to celebrate our five year anniversary. After stopping for disappointing pre-dinner drinks at a neighboring restaurant, we were excited to get to Ruth’s Chris. While the bartenders were great during happy hour, I cannot say nearly the same for our dinner in the dining room. We sat at 8pm and our server had three or four tables at any given time; however, she seemed to completely disappear after dropping off our pricey bottle of wine. Our server stopped back once to see if our meal appeared alright, but did not return until almost an hour later to ask if she could bring us anything else. The food was very good, but I am highly disappointed in the service and experience overall. I will not likely return when I can spend the same amount of money for a better experience, just across the river.
Great food and great view of NYC
We went here for our anniversary. Restaurant was nice enough to provide champagne/prosecco toast. Ordered porterhouse steak for two. It was melt in your mouth fresh and delicious. Took leftover steak + sides home for another meal. View of NYC on a crystal clear day enhanced the mood. Service was excellent! Why highly recommend for a great steak dinner.
service was slow food was not cooked right took to long to get my check.no room.cannot her yourself talk.price was way to high.12.00$ FOR MASHED POTATOES. RUTH CHRIS SHOULD PAY ME FOR GOING THERE. SORRY WILL NOT GO BACK AND NO ENTERTAINMENT.
We were not at all impressed. I've eaten at my share of Ruth's Chris Steakhouses and this location leaves a lot to desired.
Relatives from Montreal visiting were staying at the Sheraton across the street from restaurant. Dinner was as good as expected we all had steaks, cousins commented that the filets melted in their mouth. What more can you ask for when you recommended the restaurant. Had great time.
Many tables do not have a good view of Manhattan. Wait staff are pleasant and try to provide good service but they are a bit overwhelmed. Food is very good but extremely expensive so the overall value is just fair. If I’m going to spend $100+ per person on dinner I’ll look elsewhere in the future.
Collleagues in from Europe and North Carolina. Meal was delicious, service was friendly and attentive, views of Hudson River/Manhattan added a nice touch.
The food is outstanding. The service leaves something to be desired. It wasn’t bad by any means but we were in and out in an hour which is bizarre for a fancy steakhouse. We got our appetizer almost the same time we got our first drink and then our dinner and sides almost 10 minutes after that. They weren’t busy either so it isn’t like they needed the table for another reservation. We didn’t have the option to digest our appetizer, have a few drinks and enjoy our time. They could have made an extra $50 on drinks alone from us if they handled us and our time properly like every other steakhouse does. Oh well, the food was fantastic though.
Came here for my husband’s birthday. It was the first time for both of us. Great service and great food!! Highly recommend!
Everything was Amazing from the drinks to the crab stack and ceasar salad app to the stuffed chicken breast and petite ribeye entrees and to the AMAZING lobster mac&cheese, crab fried rice sides and OMG that sweet potato casserole is to DIE FOR!!!! Will definitely be returning soon. You have to try AT LEAST ONCE!
It’s was great
It’s consistently great service and food at this location. We recently booked a private event here as well and everything was perfect. Very attentive and helpful. Always a please experience..
Always a great place to dine & especially on Mother’s Day!
Came for Mother’s Day dinner. Great time. My family really enjoyed themselves
Everything was great but the service... I’ve been to this Ruth Chris many times for different occasion and I must say this was the worst service I’ve ever had...
Food was great and service was superb, even though it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was packed. Our server, Isaac, was wonderful. Well done!!
Always amazing - always worth it. Great Mother’s Day lunch.
My son ordered his steak medium and it came rare. Had to send it back twice. Other than that everything else was excellent.
Filet was amazing!!!! Me and my fiancé love having dinner there. Never disappoints!
It was a birthday
Vern at the bar is great
First time at this location. Had the Cowboy Ribeye.. very fatty. Not sure if I would visit this location again. Felt like we were rushed through dinner and out the door.
We are steak lovers and Ruth Chris is our favorite destination. Once again our steaks were perfectly prepared, the calamari and chop salads were delectable. Our server was attentive, very professional. Thank you to the Ruth Chris team for always fulfilling our high expectations.
Great food, great service, great time.
Food was delicious as always but this time the service was excellent. Charles, our waiter for the evening, was fabulous. He was very attentive, had a great sense of humor and just a wonderful disposition. The service industry is tough so it was refreshing to see someone who seems to really enjoy his job.
We were two couples celebrating 11- and 35-year wedding anniversaries. The greeter seated us in a romantic, candlelit section of the main dining room and scattered metallic confetti across the table. We had been looking forward to being served by a waiter we heard was fantastic, so she moved us to the lounge where he was working. Admittedly the atmosphere wasn't quite so romantic, but it was still very nice. Again the confetti, which was a nice touch. Our party ordered an appetizer for the table: delicious calamari, lightly fried and tossed with a sweet and spicy Asian chili sauce, firm but not chewy. Our dinners were the mouth-watering 11-ounce truffle-crusted filet; the 40-ounce Porterhouse for two; and the two jumbo lump sizzling blue crab cakes; side dishes of lobster mac and cheese (large enough for our party of four and well worth the $20 price) and sweet potato casserole (though a much smaller amount, it was so rich that "just a little dab'll do ya"), which we all agreed was suitable for a dessert. Speaking of dessert, the unique white chocolate bread pudding and crème brûlée were sharable despite their petite size and came each with a lighted candle on a plate decorated with chocolate sauce wish us a happy anniversary. Our waiter, Isaac, certainly lived up to the reputation that preceded him. He didn't balk for a second when the blackberry sidecar wasn't to my liking (too sweet) and promptly brought me a terrific classic martini made with Hendricks gin. He was attentive without hovering, gave helpful recommendations and thoroughly knows not just the menu items but also their ingredients and how they are made.
Great time! Food, presentation and cleanliness were excellent. Crab cakes were awesome and the sweet potato casserole was amazing.
Diner at various locations. First time at this particular one. Very nice view. Service meh. Food as expected
Always great food! Always consistent. Will be back
