We always celebrate our wedding anniversary @ Ruth Chris and it is the best restaurant. The ambiance is so romantic and the food 🥘 love it.
Always get a free desert...
Great staff, great service and the food was exquisite!!! Fresh and timely
Service was very slow. Waitress simply wasn’t attentive. Never checked back on drinks. Drinks took forever to come. My fish was cold. Probably because everyone else had steak.
We were headed to a movie after dinner, so we were on a bit of a time crunch. It took 10 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. My steak was a bit overdone. When we were almost done with our dinner, our waiter stopped by to see if we needed anything, and we said we were OK for now, expecting to see him again and get a chance to order dessert and/or coffee. But he didn't show up again for another 10 minutes, at which point we needed to leave for our movie. A disappointing meal for a rare date night.
Good. Consistent Food served hot. Service very warm and friendly. Good experience
I arrived early so I sat at the bar intending to get a drink. I sat there for a good 15 minutes with no “hello” or acknowledgement from staff, nor was I offered a drink. I went back to host stand and asked to seated since I received no service from the bar even though I saw about 4 different people behind it.
It was a visit to celebrate a birthday, I made the reservation on line with a note about the birthday celebration. They just did not notice and missed the point. Very disappointed.
Ruth Chris is one of my favorite restaurants, however, it seems to be going down compared to the way it was before. We waited a long time for our food and when we received it, my steak was burnt and all of our sweet potato casseroles were burnt on top. When I complained about my steak, the waiter responded that I requested Cajun seasoning. I was insulted that he felt I was ignorant enough to accept that response. We dine at Ruth Chris very often and I know the difference between seasoning and the way the steak is cooked. The restaurant redid the steak and sweet potato casserole and it was much better. However, I was not hungry by that time, so I brought it home.
Food was delicious! Service was great, thank you for the lovely roses for Valentine’s Day. :)
Valentines with wife and daughter
While the food was excellent the service was much less so I felt ignored and although it was Valentine's Day it wasn't particularly crowded. When you're paying these kind of prices You're Expecting decent Staffing and good service just wasn't there.
Our server Paul was amazing, I’ve never been treated like that at a restaurant before. He was amazing he made our experience there so great. I will be coming back there again and asking for Paul!
Returning client for birthday diner
The service was much slower than usual. Waiter seemed pre-occupied. One steak was done too well done. One soup came out of the kitchen luke warm. Other than that, we do enjoy coming to Ruths at Tysons.
Ruth's Chris is always good. This time my steak was a little overcooked, but still very good.
Will go back again.
As always Ruth Chris never disappoints. The food was delicious and our service was great.
Good food and service
Our server was great....food was great....the restaurant itself was amazing. I drove an hour for this restaurant and I'll do it again & again!!
It was everything I hoped it would be. We will be back.
Entrees and sides were excellent but the service, not so much!!! Dessert was a sad disappointment.
Great and quite place to go!!
Great food, but better service by a server by the name of Jerry. Was very polite, helpful and attentive. He made us feel comfortable and special. Even though it was Restaurant Week, we never felt pushed. When we had questions Jerry answered them and always made sure all was OK throughout our dining experience. He checked on us often, but never to be annoying. Overall it was a wonderful experience coming to Ruth's Chris and we will return for the good food and the privilege to be served by Jerry who is an asset to the restaurant.
I am from New Orleans where Ruth Chris originated, and I knew Chris when she was alive. I was Extremely disappointed with the meal. We had 3 steaks and NONE of them were cooked to specs.
Chris is Known for their Sizzling Butter and that was noticeably absent from our steaks.
However the Worst Offence related to the bill. We ordered 2 different bottles of wine and one was priced at $84 on the menu. However, we were charged $95 for that wine. The waiter had the Audacity to suggest that, 'The Menu was Wrong!'
After an extended wait, a Manager came by and agreed that they made a mistake. He offered a credit for the overcharge, which still left us paying tax, and presumably tip, on the overcharge.
In My Opinion, The waiter should have immediately apologized for the mistake and the Manager should have offered to take 50% off of the bottle of wine.
The normal retail price of the wine is $24, and I'm sure that they got a better price. If the manager took 50% off of the actual price (reducing the $84 to $42) they would still make a reasonable profit and demonstrate their sincerity.
I will not return to this Ruth Chris. It was a bad experience all around.
As an aside, I am typically a fan of the chain. Normally Ruth Chris is Excellent. But this location was a disaster all around.
Loved dining here. Our waiter Jerry was wonderful. Very attentive. Will most definitely return.
Restaurant Week menu was great! Tables were a little close together and private dining room crowd spilled out in to main dining room which increased noise and changed ambiance.
We went for Restaurant Week! It was very top-notch. Steak was delicious, mashed potatoes were plentiful:)
My wife & I went to Ruth's Chris for restaurant week. The food was excellent, but I was disappointed that bread was not included with the meal. The waiter was efficient, but not particularly friendly. I got the impression he was turned off by restaurant week.
Went there for restaurant week for lunch and they had a 6 oz steak on the menu. Everything was excellent.
Have been to many top restaurants. This one is still one of the best steak restaurants I have been to; food, ambience, service. All wonderful.
Came for Restaurant Week and liked the new lunch menu options. Service was great, as usual with our waiter (Izzry ?). Have had him many times before and he always provides outstanding service. Really enjoy lunches here during Restaurant Week or any other time.
Wonderful the service and food
Always reliable. Steaks are very good cuts and prepared to order. Sides are really classic. Our server, Eric, was absolutely wonderful.
Temp of steaks was reversed, wait staff never came to ask if everything was to taste. I used my napkin to switch since my wife cant have medium rare being pregnant. I ordered a cocktail to start and after it was empty had to ask for wine list as no one noticed or asked if I’d like another drink. Only time we got asked if wanted anything was the desert list where they could make more money. I have better service at Restaurants a 3rd the price.
My wife’s glass of wine was delivered with lip marks on the rim of the glass. The waiter was happy to replace it but, for these prices, that absolutely should not happen. The Filet i ordered had two large pieces of gristle on it...I’ve never had that on a filet. Again, for the price of the filet, i would have expected a better cut of meat.
We brought our two adult sons on Jan 1, 2018 to celebrate New Years. Our server Jerry was extremely cordial and made the entire meal so pleasurable. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were all very good, and there was so much to select from the drink/wine menu.
Very good meal, will come back and ask for Jerry!
Overall a good time. Food was excellent and our server was very nice. The downfall of the visit was a table literally in the walkway to the kitchen less than 8-10 steps from the entrance. I’m not sure why a restaurant of that caliber seats anyone in that spot. It would be better left as an open area. When spending $400-$500 for a meal, I expect better.
Ruth's Chris is a true special occasion restaurant--a place to celebrate a special occasion that makes the occasion even more special. The dining room is luxuriously comfortable, the bartender is skilled, but the most important reason for visiting any restaurant, the food, is extraordinary. Our T-Bones were perfectly cooked to our separate preferences and could not have been more flavorful.
The food, the service great. The parking is literally the worst in all nova and the valet parking assistants are just incompetent.
Christmas Day dinner with my family. There was one servers for the room with four very busy tables, I believe two servers would have been better.
My baked potato was overcooked as if it was an older baked potato baked for a second time.
My filet mignon was tough.
I frequent this location often, but recently I've been noticing a lower quality of products served or how they are cooked. The service seems to be lacking possibly due to a shortage of personnel.
Hopefully they'll be able to pick it back up to Ruth's Chris' standards. I'll try them again in a few months.
Hostess was exceptionally outstanding upon our arrival having me taken to a booth, requested, however, not 52, our favorite and not specifically listed when making the reservation. The Hostess had us wait an extra 10 mnutes, only five minutes pass our reservation and seated unknowingly to her and her staff at booth 52 and then updated my profile to en sure seating in the future.
Being handicapped, using a walker, this was really appreciated that such an effort was made when there were other booths available; however, not to my satisfaction,
