The service was slow to at first and only picked up in the end. Now my party was in the bar area but it was not busy. They had to remake two of our menu items and that is not typical.
11 year Anniversary
Steaks were very good (not the best I’ve had, but very good). Service was excellent!
Great experience for celebrating a milestone. Everything tasted fantastic, and service was excellent. Never get rid of that signature, remoulade salad dressing!
service was somewhat slow especially toward the end and getting the check. Food and wine were good
It had been a few years since our last visit to Ruth's Chris. We tried to make a reservation for 6:30 for 3 people on Open Table. The only available openings were 5:30 or 8:00. We finished our dinner and left the restaurant at 7:30 and the restaurant was still only half full.
The service was excellent. The steaks were great. The side dishes were mixed. The mushrooms were very good, especially with the steak. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but solid, not fluffy. The Brussels sprouts were soggy, with just ok taste; we were hoping for crispy roasted sprouts. We left 3/4 of these in the dish.
There are better options for good steak restaurants at this price point.
Amazing experience. Food was great, and Izzet our server was the best!
It was good 😊
This was was my first indoor dining experience since 29-Feb-20. I didn’t want to miss another year celebrating my son’s son’s birthday. Because I have been fully vaccinated, I decided it would be okay. The tables were safely distanced, diner’s were limited, and the staff was masked. Despite my initial fears of returning to indoor dining, I was put at ease. The celebration was a success and the meal delicious!!!
I have been to Ruth's Chris in San Antonio, Annapolis, Baltimore, Va, Odenton MD, etc. Rarely am I disappointed.
This location doesn’t disappoint. Great service, food, drinks a little outdated restaurant but everything else was great.
Awesome location, great service, and wonderful food! Just had a good time with my bride.
Excellent food, excellent waiter, they all worked as a team
together, peaceful atmosphere. Enjoyed everything!!
The tall manager was professional and anticipated our needs per usual, however our server was not quiet what I have been used to in my many past visits. I think I would of preferred someone a little more professional and educated on the menu. We weren’t offered bottled water and the specials weren’t read to us. It was my boyfriends first time and I was excited to show off one of my most favorite places to go eat, where you feel like royalty. His side of Mac and cheese didn’t come out and the other manager finally was able to get it for us and assured it would be taken off the bill, which was nice. When I did ask for the bill our server reached over my head (I guess he had it pre printed and close by) and handed it to me with the Mac and cheese still on. I felt like it would be rude for me to ask about a 13 dollar Mac and cheese that we did eat and also received free dessert, since it was my boyfriend’s birthday. The very tall manager brought us black napkins which I so much appreciated all the little touches, along with held the door for us at the end. A lot went right with our dinner, the food really was was wonderful along with our cocktails. I also noticed It had such a rushed feel to it. We were in an out within an hour, with no breaks between courses, all back to back (within minutes) including an appetizer, entree, and dessert for 2. The management will get us back, along with the food, we will just need to get a different server next time. My boyfriend had a wonderful time and a night he will never forget, so at the end of the day that’s all I want, I just know it could of been better.
Nothing short of amazing! In the DC area, I prefer the Tyson's Corner location versus the others. The steak is always cooked to perfection. My go-to sides are the asparagus with hollandaise sauce, Caesar salad (though it didn't taste that fresh this time), and the sweet potato casserole (to die for). I ordered the BBQ shrimp appetizer for the first time and must say that it's my favorite appetizer. I enjoyed it so much that I made it at home, since the restaurant is generous enough to post the recipe on their website.
Excellent loved are steaks will be back thank you
The service and food were outstanding. I would highly recommend.
Anniversary with the family
We have been to Ruth Chris in Fairfax many times and it is always good service and good food. Last week we have decided to go to Tysons location and that was not a good experience. Steak came very well done for both of us although we ordered medium. Service was not good. Waiter doesn’t even asked what kind of water we want, he just assumed tap is good for us. We ordered salads and 5 minutes after salads came, they brought filet minion charred. It seemed no one cared about anything and anyone. Terrible experience all together.
To begin with, my disappointment has nothing to do with the local restaurant management, server or chef. It has to do with what Ruth’s Chris once was - a top steakhouse - and what it has become over the last 15 years. Our server was excellent, the food was good, and the manager’s attentive. But the decline in the Ruth’s Chris brand and value continues.
I was saddened to see how limited the menu items as become, and that the old signature items, such as the hash-browns, are gone. Prices far exceed the quality of the food now served, and the overall value is no longer worth experience. This particular RC’s has no character or ambiance. Quite frankly, Olive Garden and Red Lobster have more inviting dinning rooms than this particular location.
It had been 6 years since I had taken our family to Ruth’s Chris. I found both the Palm and Morton’s had become far superior as RC’s become more like a typical chain. However, with those two restaurants now being just commodity restaurants in the Landry’s chain, I wanted to give Ruth’s Chris another chance. Unfortunately, I left this evening just as disappointed as the last time we visited RC’s 6 years ago.
I wish the RC Hospitality Group well. But as of now, today’s Ruth’s Chris is far from what it was before it abandoned its roots in New Orleans. The food is good, but not at all worth the prices charged.

21st wedding anniversary
We ordered the precious fire menu. Filet was amazing as usual. Service was on point. We ordered the chocolate sin cake for dessert and it was pretty gross. Really dense mousse. Blekh.
Waiter Eric was superb.
Reservation had special note that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary; however no one bother to look the reservation. The manager came by to check on us and didn’t know it was our anniversary, the server was also clueless. Finally, at the end of our dinner, I broke silence and told the waiter that we were celebrating our anniversary; he brought us a free dessert.
As always the food is outstanding, whenever we are celebrating a special occasion we go to Ruth"s Chris. Also the staff was great in accommodating us with outside seating. Our server was also very welcoming and provided us with excellent service. Thanks for making my husband's birthday a special occasion.
Great crab cakes and ambiance
Great food and great service. I will be returning very soon!
Always a great dinner at Ruth's Chris. Took my sons out for a Father sons dinner and it was a great atmosphere for that.
Wonderful experience. Prompt service.
Always a great place. Make sure to get the cheesecake.
Experience was great. Our server Michael was hands down one of the best servers we’ve had at Ruth Chris or any other restaurant. He should be recognized for his outstanding service and excellent attitude.
Fantastic service and great food . Love the steak!
I had an awesome birthday at Ruth’s Chris
Great food and service. A very enjoyable evening.
Everything was perfect. Great food and ambiance for a much needed night out!
Wonderful food and service. This place is an oldie but still a goodie.
meat quality is below expectation. medium steak is only medium at the very middle of the steak, 90% of the steak is well done. The au gratin is no longer scalloped potatoes, rather just diced potatoes. lobster bisque has way too much sherry that it tastes bitter
Thank you for your candid review. We hold ourselves to the highest brand standards for food quality and what you describe is not consistent with our standards. We will work hard to improve and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
The olives f
Steaks and salads were excellent. Brussel sprouts were not cooked enough. Service was excellent and friendly. Noise was very low and easy to converse.
Fathers Day with my husband! Despite the restaurant being very busy, the waitstaff was attentive, friendly and professional. We were seated in a room with only 5 tables and plenty of distance.
Steaks were cooked perfectly, salads crisp, and chocolate dessert exceptional. Since portions are generous we had plenty to take home. Wines by the glass are overpriced (small point) but the cocktails were delicious.
Staff was still wearing masks and cleaning menus and dining areas between customers which we appreciated.
We will continue to patronize Ruth’s Chris!
