Service was spectacular as was the wine and the food, as always.
We had the turkey meal special for Thanksgiving. Both had leftovers from the table meal, and got our special bag of leftovers to take home so will have plenty for tomorrow. Value was excellent but it was very hard not to get a Filet so guess I will have to come back for that soon!
The service was excellent! Steaks were done exactly as we requested! Very nice place for a special occasion!
Thanksgiving was wonderful at Ruth Chris. We had a family of 9 and we had a fantastic time. Thanks
Thought I’d take my son out for his first steakhouse experience. Poor choice on my part. Food was okay. One min after we were seated, the same person who seated us came back to notify me that “we don’t allow hats in the dining room”. I honestly had forgotten to take my hat off and would’ve appreciated a polite reminder, and not an order. Then the waiter made remarks about which wine I should choose and how the other bottles were expensive. That was kind of funny though clearly wasn’t his intention to be jesting. Clearly not my day. Recalled later why I stopped going to this kind of place years ago. Steak with loads of butter probably tastes better to some, but then adding condescension to it… Not my kind of place perhaps.

Everything was amazing except for the smell in the restaurant the minute you walk in .
Eric was an excellent waiter and he had help so nice to see. Food was excellent as always. A bunch of large groups made it noisy not Ruth’s fault. But maybe spread them out or put small groups of 4 and less away from the crowd. Prices are way to high but of course 81 m people chose unwisely- let’s go Brandon!
Everything was wonderful
Left my credit card there last night. Trying to call.
Our server was pure perfection! Did not rush us at all. Gave us plenty of time to discuss pressing matters without interruption, all while attending to our needs. Food was spot-on, as always. Perfect setting fir a business dinner!
Fantastic Date night with my wife. Never a disappointment when making reservations at Ruth Chris.
Service was outstanding. Tomahawk was average at best.
A wonderful experience 🥰
Wonderful birthday and family celebration! Thank you for a great experience!
Superb tender porterhouse for two - superb sides Excellent service.
Wonderful. Everything perfect. Food tasted great drinks were great service was perfect. What an unreal time. Sweet potato pie with ice cream for desert. Beyond yummy. Steaks were perfect. The stuffed chicken is unlike anything you will ever get.
Food is delicious and service is outstanding.
The service was slow to at first and only picked up in the end. Now my party was in the bar area but it was not busy. They had to remake two of our menu items and that is not typical.
11 year Anniversary
Steaks were very good (not the best I’ve had, but very good). Service was excellent!
Great experience for celebrating a milestone. Everything tasted fantastic, and service was excellent. Never get rid of that signature, remoulade salad dressing!
service was somewhat slow especially toward the end and getting the check. Food and wine were good
It had been a few years since our last visit to Ruth's Chris. We tried to make a reservation for 6:30 for 3 people on Open Table. The only available openings were 5:30 or 8:00. We finished our dinner and left the restaurant at 7:30 and the restaurant was still only half full.
The service was excellent. The steaks were great. The side dishes were mixed. The mushrooms were very good, especially with the steak. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but solid, not fluffy. The Brussels sprouts were soggy, with just ok taste; we were hoping for crispy roasted sprouts. We left 3/4 of these in the dish.
There are better options for good steak restaurants at this price point.
Amazing experience. Food was great, and Izzet our server was the best!
It was good 😊
This was was my first indoor dining experience since 29-Feb-20. I didn’t want to miss another year celebrating my son’s son’s birthday. Because I have been fully vaccinated, I decided it would be okay. The tables were safely distanced, diner’s were limited, and the staff was masked. Despite my initial fears of returning to indoor dining, I was put at ease. The celebration was a success and the meal delicious!!!
I have been to Ruth's Chris in San Antonio, Annapolis, Baltimore, Va, Odenton MD, etc. Rarely am I disappointed.
This location doesn’t disappoint. Great service, food, drinks a little outdated restaurant but everything else was great.
Excellent food, excellent waiter, they all worked as a team
together, peaceful atmosphere. Enjoyed everything!!
Awesome location, great service, and wonderful food! Just had a good time with my bride.
The tall manager was professional and anticipated our needs per usual, however our server was not quiet what I have been used to in my many past visits. I think I would of preferred someone a little more professional and educated on the menu. We weren’t offered bottled water and the specials weren’t read to us. It was my boyfriends first time and I was excited to show off one of my most favorite places to go eat, where you feel like royalty. His side of Mac and cheese didn’t come out and the other manager finally was able to get it for us and assured it would be taken off the bill, which was nice. When I did ask for the bill our server reached over my head (I guess he had it pre printed and close by) and handed it to me with the Mac and cheese still on. I felt like it would be rude for me to ask about a 13 dollar Mac and cheese that we did eat and also received free dessert, since it was my boyfriend’s birthday. The very tall manager brought us black napkins which I so much appreciated all the little touches, along with held the door for us at the end. A lot went right with our dinner, the food really was was wonderful along with our cocktails. I also noticed It had such a rushed feel to it. We were in an out within an hour, with no breaks between courses, all back to back (within minutes) including an appetizer, entree, and dessert for 2. The management will get us back, along with the food, we will just need to get a different server next time. My boyfriend had a wonderful time and a night he will never forget, so at the end of the day that’s all I want, I just know it could of been better.
Nothing short of amazing! In the DC area, I prefer the Tyson's Corner location versus the others. The steak is always cooked to perfection. My go-to sides are the asparagus with hollandaise sauce, Caesar salad (though it didn't taste that fresh this time), and the sweet potato casserole (to die for). I ordered the BBQ shrimp appetizer for the first time and must say that it's my favorite appetizer. I enjoyed it so much that I made it at home, since the restaurant is generous enough to post the recipe on their website.
Excellent loved are steaks will be back thank you
The service and food were outstanding. I would highly recommend.
Anniversary with the family
We have been to Ruth Chris in Fairfax many times and it is always good service and good food. Last week we have decided to go to Tysons location and that was not a good experience. Steak came very well done for both of us although we ordered medium. Service was not good. Waiter doesn’t even asked what kind of water we want, he just assumed tap is good for us. We ordered salads and 5 minutes after salads came, they brought filet minion charred. It seemed no one cared about anything and anyone. Terrible experience all together.
To begin with, my disappointment has nothing to do with the local restaurant management, server or chef. It has to do with what Ruth’s Chris once was - a top steakhouse - and what it has become over the last 15 years. Our server was excellent, the food was good, and the manager’s attentive. But the decline in the Ruth’s Chris brand and value continues.
I was saddened to see how limited the menu items as become, and that the old signature items, such as the hash-browns, are gone. Prices far exceed the quality of the food now served, and the overall value is no longer worth experience. This particular RC’s has no character or ambiance. Quite frankly, Olive Garden and Red Lobster have more inviting dinning rooms than this particular location.
It had been 6 years since I had taken our family to Ruth’s Chris. I found both the Palm and Morton’s had become far superior as RC’s become more like a typical chain. However, with those two restaurants now being just commodity restaurants in the Landry’s chain, I wanted to give Ruth’s Chris another chance. Unfortunately, I left this evening just as disappointed as the last time we visited RC’s 6 years ago.
I wish the RC Hospitality Group well. But as of now, today’s Ruth’s Chris is far from what it was before it abandoned its roots in New Orleans. The food is good, but not at all worth the prices charged.
RobB thank you for your candid review. We hold ourselves to the highest brand standards for both food quality and service we wish we'd made a better impression. Your valuable feedback has been shared with the team for review. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you in again soon.
21st wedding anniversary
We ordered the precious fire menu. Filet was amazing as usual. Service was on point. We ordered the chocolate sin cake for dessert and it was pretty gross. Really dense mousse. Blekh.
