What a lovely dining experience!! Our waiter, Jerry, was most attentive but unobtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the service! Will definitely be back.
Great steak. Excellent service. No complaints.
Unfortunately Ruth Chris isn't keeping up with today's style of cleaner, better eating. The steak was marginal at best, the baked potato tasted microwaved, the fries were burnt and stuck together, they were out of ingredients they needed for their own signature cocktails. Just overall very bland food, with no new cocktail type recipes and foods that mirror today's style of eating. The brand needs to freshen its approach or stop charging such high prices for their food as it's not worth the cost anymore.
Started the evening having happy hour in the bar area. I really like the bar area. It is classy and comfortable. Service is friendly and attentive.
After happy hour, headed to the dining room for dinner. The sommelier helped us select a nice wine and we ordered the ribeye, cooked medium, with lobster mac and cheese and Chilean sea bass. The steak was ok, but closer to medium well and didn't impress. The manager stopped by to ask about our meal and immediately offered to take the steak off the check when he saw it was not medium. The bass was dry and rather bland. A good Chilean sea bass should be more like butter and ruth's Chris should head over to Sea Pearl of they want to know how it should be done. The lobster mac and cheese was definitely not worth the calories. Overall I'd have to rate Eddie Merlot over Ruth's Chris. It's elegant, with prompt, sophisticated service but for the price point it did not meet expectations in the food department.
ERIC is a great waiter, attentive without smothering and we never had to look for him to flag him down. The service is what you would expect at a nice restaurant. The menu is heavy on beef and fish as it is their specialty - and great flavor. Our friend had not been there before and said it was the best tasting steak she had ever had. I planned to check out the vegetarian plate, but that was no competition for a blue-cheese covered filet. One of us ordered a lobster tail to add to the steak and felt it was small for the price, but delicious, and the shrimp was awesome.
I enjoy my birthday dinner everything was excellent and I will be back
Food was excellent. Service was excessively slow. Meal and apps took two hours. Had to take dessert home.
Lively atmosphere, amazing cocktails, solid steaks!
Very good from service to food.
My first time to a Ruths Chris Steakhouse...Tysons Corner location...wasn't expecting valet parking only but got over that quickly...greeted quickly with a smile at the door and seated immediately thanks to a reservation...our server was kind and helpful with the dinner choices....my Ceaser salad was huge and delicious. ..my side dish of fingerling potatoes with carmelized onions was not as expected as it was potatoes covered with cooked red peppers in a creamy sauce and no onions in plain view...don't recall menu mentioning peppers....didn't finish that sidedish....my asparagus side was nice and served with a decent hollandaise sauce...the star of the show was up next-ribeye steak..cooked medium...served on a 500 degree plate...sizzle sizzle sizzle on my plate and AWESOME in mouth....we passed on the desert....overall I had a very nice but very pricey meal...wasn't sticker shocked by the prices but my salad and steak were the stars of the show...decor very classy...a very nice special occasion restuarant. ..just cant afford to eat there regularly.
Good. Never disappoints.
The food and service were superb. Beyond those expectation I was so touched with the kindness given to my quest that had hearing and mobility challenges. They filled my requests for a quiet table, easy access and an arm chair with grace and kindness. You can count on my return. The manager even came by twice to make sure everything was okay ... and it was.
Excellent service from Patrick and the food was awesome!
We were celebtaring my sons birthday and as always everything was at or near perfection. I never get tired of going to Ruths Chris.
We always celebrate our wedding anniversary @ Ruth Chris and it is the best restaurant. The ambiance is so romantic and the food 🥘 love it.
Always get a free desert...
Great staff, great service and the food was exquisite!!! Fresh and timely
Service was very slow. Waitress simply wasn’t attentive. Never checked back on drinks. Drinks took forever to come. My fish was cold. Probably because everyone else had steak.
We were headed to a movie after dinner, so we were on a bit of a time crunch. It took 10 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. My steak was a bit overdone. When we were almost done with our dinner, our waiter stopped by to see if we needed anything, and we said we were OK for now, expecting to see him again and get a chance to order dessert and/or coffee. But he didn't show up again for another 10 minutes, at which point we needed to leave for our movie. A disappointing meal for a rare date night.
Good. Consistent Food served hot. Service very warm and friendly. Good experience
I arrived early so I sat at the bar intending to get a drink. I sat there for a good 15 minutes with no “hello” or acknowledgement from staff, nor was I offered a drink. I went back to host stand and asked to seated since I received no service from the bar even though I saw about 4 different people behind it.
It was a visit to celebrate a birthday, I made the reservation on line with a note about the birthday celebration. They just did not notice and missed the point. Very disappointed.
Ruth Chris is one of my favorite restaurants, however, it seems to be going down compared to the way it was before. We waited a long time for our food and when we received it, my steak was burnt and all of our sweet potato casseroles were burnt on top. When I complained about my steak, the waiter responded that I requested Cajun seasoning. I was insulted that he felt I was ignorant enough to accept that response. We dine at Ruth Chris very often and I know the difference between seasoning and the way the steak is cooked. The restaurant redid the steak and sweet potato casserole and it was much better. However, I was not hungry by that time, so I brought it home.
Food was delicious! Service was great, thank you for the lovely roses for Valentine’s Day. :)
Valentines with wife and daughter
While the food was excellent the service was much less so I felt ignored and although it was Valentine's Day it wasn't particularly crowded. When you're paying these kind of prices You're Expecting decent Staffing and good service just wasn't there.
Our server Paul was amazing, I’ve never been treated like that at a restaurant before. He was amazing he made our experience there so great. I will be coming back there again and asking for Paul!
Returning client for birthday diner
The service was much slower than usual. Waiter seemed pre-occupied. One steak was done too well done. One soup came out of the kitchen luke warm. Other than that, we do enjoy coming to Ruths at Tysons.
Ruth's Chris is always good. This time my steak was a little overcooked, but still very good.
Will go back again.
As always Ruth Chris never disappoints. The food was delicious and our service was great.
Good food and service
Our server was great....food was great....the restaurant itself was amazing. I drove an hour for this restaurant and I'll do it again & again!!
It was everything I hoped it would be. We will be back.
Entrees and sides were excellent but the service, not so much!!! Dessert was a sad disappointment.
Great and quite place to go!!
Great food, but better service by a server by the name of Jerry. Was very polite, helpful and attentive. He made us feel comfortable and special. Even though it was Restaurant Week, we never felt pushed. When we had questions Jerry answered them and always made sure all was OK throughout our dining experience. He checked on us often, but never to be annoying. Overall it was a wonderful experience coming to Ruth's Chris and we will return for the good food and the privilege to be served by Jerry who is an asset to the restaurant.
I am from New Orleans where Ruth Chris originated, and I knew Chris when she was alive. I was Extremely disappointed with the meal. We had 3 steaks and NONE of them were cooked to specs.
Chris is Known for their Sizzling Butter and that was noticeably absent from our steaks.
However the Worst Offence related to the bill. We ordered 2 different bottles of wine and one was priced at $84 on the menu. However, we were charged $95 for that wine. The waiter had the Audacity to suggest that, 'The Menu was Wrong!'
After an extended wait, a Manager came by and agreed that they made a mistake. He offered a credit for the overcharge, which still left us paying tax, and presumably tip, on the overcharge.
In My Opinion, The waiter should have immediately apologized for the mistake and the Manager should have offered to take 50% off of the bottle of wine.
The normal retail price of the wine is $24, and I'm sure that they got a better price. If the manager took 50% off of the actual price (reducing the $84 to $42) they would still make a reasonable profit and demonstrate their sincerity.
I will not return to this Ruth Chris. It was a bad experience all around.
As an aside, I am typically a fan of the chain. Normally Ruth Chris is Excellent. But this location was a disaster all around.
Loved dining here. Our waiter Jerry was wonderful. Very attentive. Will most definitely return.
Restaurant Week menu was great! Tables were a little close together and private dining room crowd spilled out in to main dining room which increased noise and changed ambiance.
