Our server was very kind and tentative to us. However, Entree was mediocre because my steak was ridiculously horrible and tasted like it was over cooked like a steak you would get out of the trash🤢...plating needs work (food was really messy on the plate) On the more positive side I would say the highlight of the night was the bomb drinks our waiter made, the lobster Mac (came back a few days later and ordered but it got me real sick and I spent about an hour in the BR😷).....the sweet potato casserole was delicious (would definitely recommend). All in all to me this restaurant is only good for the sides which are ridiculously over priced for the amount you get and you have to take your chances with the getting sick part.
Lovely birthday celebration that felt so special. They decorated the table and presented me a rose with dessert.
Food excellent, as always, and love the luncheon special for $31.95 ... such a great value and so much that even can take some home. Server was efficient but lacked personality ... not a big deal but this was the second time he has waited on us and both tines were the same. Food makes up for it so not that big if a deal but kind of unusual.
They've consistently been a go-to spot for a wonderful meal with great service and the perfect setting. Quality of beef is the best IMO. One of my favorites for years. Go RUTH!
Well, valet was the best part of the whole experience: quick and courteous. Then one hostess told me I’d need to remove my hat (British driving style cap) once seated, and she was abruptly corrected with “No! He has to take it off before going in the dining room!” Okay, no worries, but the last Ruth’s Chris I went had a noisy family of 6 next us- all in sweatpants and sweatshirts. If you have a dress code, post it and stick to it. The service was kind and professional. However, my son’s medium-well filet was really well done without a hint of pink in the middle. My wife’s, on the other hand, was also ordered medium-well pretty much came out medium-rare! Come on, isn’t what Ruth’s does for their existence? I ordered the red snapper with coconut rice, and it was okay at best. It was most surprising because it was more expensive than the filet. Then there were the sautéed mushrooms, which are usually very lightly seasoned. I don’t know if or when they changed the recipe, but these were in a thick, rich, and very salty sauce. So, all in all, not a good experience, and certainly not what I’ve come to expect from Ruth’s Chris.
So, did I say anything about these issues to the waiter or manager? No... because I was never asked how things were. Not “Are the filets cooked to your liking?”, or “Did everything come out alright?” - Nothing! Not going back to this location, and not in a hurry to go to another.
Save your money, go to one of the other steak houses in the area.
Awesome experience and a great evening out for my wife’s birthday! The food was delicious and the drinks were very tasty.
Nothing ever disappoints about Ruth's. The service and the dining room are always top notch....and the steak? We there'll always be haters but for my money (which I did spend there) it's the best around!
You again made the special occasion very special for my parent's anniversary! My husband and I always bring our parents to your restaurant on their birthdays and anniversaries. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare. After a couple of bites, I realized the steak was cooked medium well. The server was very professional and ordered a new filet which was cooked perfectly. Thank you for your high standards!
Excellent atmosphere and the price for the food was good.
Food and service were wonderful. Our waiter, Jerry, was especially good.
The service was very poor and slow. Got there early to an almost empty restaurant but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. The complimentary valet was nowhere to be found at the end of our dinner. The bottle of wine that was ordered when we sat down took 15 minutes to get. The steak that was ordered medium came out basically rare. I will not be returning to this location.
Every item we tasted from the appetizers to the main courses were outstanding. Our only complaint is that we had a 7:30 reservation and we were not seated until 8:45. The nice thing is that the Manager comped our cocktails at the bar, where we waited patiently, and provided us with two complimentary appetizers. other than that, it was a very solid experience.
Food and service were impeccable as usual
This Chain has much higher reputation than this particular location and in comparison to the other Ruth’s Chris. The ambiance was not impressive for where we were seated to the noise level. In general, we had higher expectations and this location failed to deliver, I doubt I would ever go to another Ruth’s Chris again.
Perfect restaurant for a special occasion. Spent Valentines with my wife and even brought the kids. I recommend Ruth’s Chris to any steak & seafood lover.
Fantastic, great and personalized service and as always the food was perfection
This was a wonderful experience by all three of us. I was treating two of my dearest friends to birthday dinner. Everything was perfect! The service, atmosphere, food, presentation..... The atmosphere was relaxing, but elegant. We all had the classic ribeye which was done to perfection as well as the potatoes au gratin and the asparagus. The cheesecake dessert was huge and delectable. We will talk about this dining experience for a long time!
The food lived up to their reputation, and all of our dishes were cooked to perfection. This was our first time at the Tyson's Corner one, and we loved the privacy of the booths, and it was relatively quiet as compared to other steak houses that we've been too. This has now become our "new favorite" Ruth Chris.
Average at best for price.
We were there to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. The staff was amazing and the food was excellent! We look forward to continuing to enjoy your restaurant!
The food at this location was excellent as usual.
The waiter was inexperienced and forgot basics such as asking if we wanted drinks.
This is the third visit in a row where the wait service has been amateurish and below the standard we've come to expect from Ruth's Chris. We view this as a problem unique to the Tysons location.
We will continue to patronize Ruth's Chris at other locations, but not at Tysons.
This was a Birthday dinner for my niece and I . Service was excellent. Our server Tatyana was superb. Will definitely dine here again. Will recommend.
Farah was awesome! It was quiet and not too busy. Great experience!
I would say that if you like Ruth Chris food this would be an excellent place to go. Me I don’t like Ruth Chris food. The mashed potatoes taste like box mashed potatoes, the spinach tasted burnt, and the stuffed chicken, crab cakes, and steak were all very bland. The service was absolutely amazing from beginning to end and that’s the only reason I’m recommending this place.
We visited it during Restaurant week, the options were great. Outstanding service.
Restaurant Week menu good value. Outstanding service.
The food was excellent and the portions generous.
Had a wonderful leisurely lunch. Will most certainly return!
Once again service was not up to par. Not as enjoyable an experience as it once was here.
We celebrating our wedding anniversary at Ruth Chris. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, including a free photo, card and rose! The food was outstanding and the Restaurant Week menu made it a terrific value. We will definitely return.
Great service and food!
The foos was too salty food and cooking way is too traditional. This restaurant should find modern steak cook way and what people want.
We had a wonderful experience. The staff and especially Eric were outstanding.
Attentive, but not intrusive, service from Eric. Great lamb chops. We asked for a booth and got it. Nice flexibility with my special needs son. This place is always great for us. Always an enjoyable evening here. Thank you!
Ruth Chris is pretty consistent. Prices are high but the steak is good not great and the other foods are descent to good. Service is always good and I enjoy bringing my family here.
It was fine. The wine pour was disappointing. It didn’t even seem like 6oz. The steak was cooked nicely. Coffees was forgotten and then I was brought a cold cup of coffee. The Hagen Daz ice cream was not creamy.
We decided to go to Ruth Chris' for New Years Eve dinner, thinking a night out at a great restaurant would be perfect. Boy, were we wrong!!! First, we were sat next to the server's station and kitchen. When we asked if we could move the very unpleasant hostess said no, that this was the only spot available (however when we looked directly in front of us there were plenty of empty seats. When we pointed to one she said that was reserved for someone celebrating an anniversary. Like we cared!)
We asked for the manager. He was very pleasant and saw no issue whatsoever with moving us (confirming our suspicions that the hostess was just a very ugly spirited person). Then we were sat in a section where the waiter had gone to the hospital because he was sick. The woman to our left was very vocal about how bad the service was in the section. Her words rung true.
Our waiter seemed to be a novice. He was nervous and distracted. Apparently, he was trying to cover his section and some of the section for his colleague who left ill. It literally took 25 minutes for him to come to our table, and when we were not quick enough to decide what we wanted to drink, he left and said he'd be right back. He didn't. We had to call the manager three times-for our drinks, for our food (my potato was cold, my steak was not well done and was burnt, my friend's chicken was not prepared correctly, I did not get my cocktail, nor the water I requested...and on and on...and on).
Although I am sympathetic about someone being sick....it really is not my issue. If the restaurant could not handle the volume, they should not have secured so many reservations. We literally spent 2.5 hours in the restaurant, not leisurely enjoying our meal, but waiting (and requesting time and again) for our food and drinks.
The only decent part of the evening was the dessert. That the extent of it. #blah! Never again!
Very nice ambience and waiter assigned our table was terrific very knowledgeable and provided great service. Have dined here befire and in several other states. Always excellent food service ambience. Go only fir Anniversary bdays and xmas eve or new years eve but consider it special place for those occasions
