Ruth's Chris Steak House - Toronto Ratings and Reviews
Fixed Price option of starter, main and desert was exactly what we needed after a long day ! At $59 it didn’t break the bank and the shrimp topped filet was absolutely gorgeous . This place can be good for an everyday craving for good steak! Service is always exceptional !
Food was very good. The steak was as good as I've had anywhere else, or maybe even better :-). The asparagus was very well cooked and tasty, as were the onion rings. The salad was tasty and the service was very professional, including the serving and decating of the wine.
If one thing was a little disappointing it was the cheesecake.
For the price, basic sides should be included with the steak.
Overall a very good experience and I would highly recommend.
My wife and I were looking forward to a quiet and relaxing dinner experience after the theatre and decided on Ruth Chris , not to say it was also close to our Hotel.
This being our first visit to Ruth Chris we both really enjoyed the friendly experience, the steaks were done to perfection and the fact we both were able relax after our meal and enjoy each others company in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere without having to be rushed out was just the icing on the cake.
It was my birthday so we decided to have dinner at a good restaurant. We picked Ruth's because of its high rating and it sure did not let us down. The beef was great and the side dishes are good too. We also ordered a seafood tower which is $75 and really worth it. BUT our waitress wasn't very attentive. We waited for more than 10mins to get our bill and it was another waiter who cleared our table for the dessert. It was Thursday and wasn't too busy so I wonder why that happened. The overall experience was really good and I would return again.
The girlfriend and I chose this location for NYE dinner, and while I wish I could say we left satisfied, nothing can be further from the truth. I was under the impression that Ruth's was in the same category as Gothams, Morton's, or Hy's but nothing is further from the truth. From start to finish, the service lacks the essentials for tier 1 dining. The food was so so, but not even better than mid tier steaks. Frankly, a disappointment.
My family and I were regulars in your Mississauga location. We've celebrated 3 birthdays and several business lunches as well as family (weekend) dinners.
We also have been to your location and love it. Distance kept us away but its worth coming back to you for your two very special people. Britta and Ryan. They are both fantastic. We give them 10++.
Great food, fantastic service and again Britta and Ryan and all the servers and front desk ladies makes your location our number one choice. Well done.

From the moment you step into the restaurant it is extremely impressive . The service was very accommodating and helpful and good spirits..the high moral just makes the restaurant glow..the food was incredible and done perfectly...the tatse was out of this world...the best ribeye steak I have ever had !!
We were warmly greeted and coat check was very courteous. Promptly escorted to our table and our waiter Mike, started the evening fine but as the dinner wore on, I got the feeling we were an imposition to his evening. We were a party of seven. Two of the steaks which were requested medium-well, arrived with much too much pink showing to be medium well. But it's New Year's Eve and we don't want to keep our colleagues waiting, so we did not send them back. My own New York cut sirloin arrived with a ribbon of grissol resulting in nearly 1/3rd of the dinner being left on the plate.
We had also purchased gift cards at Costco. $100 value for $80 purchase. Good deal.
But when I surrendered one of the $50 value card, he merely deducted $50 from the bill.
He should have recalculated that, taking the $50 off pre-tax which would have also saved me another $6.50.
It was OK. And that's too bad. Last time we were there we came out raving about how good it was, it's our new favourite and RC had really upped their game. Following this experience, I think they've slipped to 3rd perhaps 4th place now behind Harbour 60 and Jacob's and Shakespeares in Hamilton.
I won't be trashing it, but I came away feeling terribly terribly disappointed and that's no way to feel after I've spent over $200 for one meal and all I can express is, it was okay.
We drove in from Windsor and stayed at the Hilton right upstairs - so convenient. We ate here before the Nutcracker at the Four Seasons, which is right next door. This is our 3rd year in a row. Another amazing meal with amazing service. I could never afford to eat here all the time, but it's perfect for a special night out. I highly recommend it.
14 bucks for one baked potato!!! 14 bucks for a pasta boat of shoestring fries!! You undercooked my steak! And it was, what, 15 bucks for a pasta boat of steamed broccoli!!!
Never, never again. That was absurd. At the very least you could've cooked my steak properly.
I understand your business model. However, as someone who has been a cook and chef in this industry for almost 30 years ... your food costs are what 10 percent on the add ons. Absurd. Never again.
The food and service was excellent - however it is far too overpriced for what you get. The sides are $12 and $14 - for just two of these I can have an entire meal virtually anywhere else. Add two overpriced drinks and my bill was $166. Would be hard pressed to get me to go there again - too many other great alternatives for less than half this price.
firstly, the steak was served in a very small dish which prevented me from adding the sides to my main plate & because my wife & i were sharing sides, we found it very inconvenient to eat from the same side dish. Secondly, i ordered the sweet potato pie as a side.....that s/b listed under the desert menu......it was just waaaay too sweet.....customers s/b cautioned what to expect when ordering that side. My wife had the lump crab cakes entree.....it came without any sauces or dips & it was very dry on its own. The complimentary desert [anniversary celebration] was a very nice surprise & that was delicious. My wife's comment after the meal was that she would have preferred to eat at the Keg........less expensive & much better food & selection. We certainly expected more for more. It was a disappointing evening!
Booked a table for 2 a week in advance and was seated next to a bachelor party of 14 who were very loud and obnoxious. Usually not the quietest restaurant but they could have done a much better job in seating. Didn't really show any concern for customer service.
I have always enjoyed Ruth's Chris - the service, the food, the atmosphere.
However Saturday, December 2nd was a bit of an anomaly. The table we sat at was noticeably tilted. I was quite surprised as I have never seen this before.
I know it can be corrected - it was the table in the back of the room against the wall.
Other than that - all was excellent.
It was absolutely fantastic! Cocktails were great. Overall service and ambiance was superb! We had filet, shrimp cocktail, grilled shrimp, Caesar salad , cheesecake all of which were excellent! Have eaten there before and will definitely return. They even sent us a piece of cake for our anniversary!
