Deliciously perfect meal from beginning to end. Delicious crab stuffed mushrooms and fresh Caesar salad with soft warm fresh bread. Perfectly done high quality steak. Delightful creamed spinach. Celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary and informed the restaurant on reservation. We were greeted by name by the hostess and the person who seated us, congratulating us on our anniversary. Impeccable service, with the waitress also calling us by name and congratulating us. Complimentary chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. We just couldn’t pass up the deliciously decadent carrot cake, so we took it home and enjoyed it together the next day. Truly a perfect meal from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend. We will return. Thank you!

The filet was a great cut of meat and perfectly prepared. I was not impressed with either of the sides I had. One was hashbrowns which came highly recommended. They were dry and pretty tasteless. If the establishment serves them with a pot of ketchup, does that indicate they know they are tasteless?

We’ve been here several times. Each time presents itself with some good and some bad experiences. On this particular outing, we both ordered the “Fillet Oscar” and they were extremely overdone. Quite a bit of effort was needed to saw through this meat. The asparagus was burnt… and the lobster bisque was like a brown gravy. Seriously considering not returning especially with the price we pay.

Upon arrival I was ushered to the basement level. $300 ny eve dinner in a basement???? They offered to reseat me but my husband was uncomfortable requesting a reseat so I just let it go. Bread was not cooked through. Food was quite good and server was excellent. Note to Resturant don’t surprise guests expecting AND paying for a top notch dining experience to be ushered to the basement. I would have never agreed to a reservation if I knew that was a part of the deal. I had to decide if a fight with my spouse was more important than eating in a basement on ny eve.

When you choose Ruth’s Chris South Bend, you’ll enjoy a completely private room with a dedicated service team, award-winning food with cooked-to-order steaks and the personal attention of one of our Private Dining Managers throughout the planning process. Dine in style in the Wine Cellar surrounded by a collection of fine wine, seats up to 20 guests. The Coaches Room honoring past and present Notre Dame coaches is an intimate private room and seats up to 16. The Malpass Room named after Scott Malpass, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, University of Notre Dame, seats up to 10. Our Upper level also offers a larger private dining area with seating up to 50. The lower level private dining rooms can accommodate up to 150 with a private bar.
