The food as always is delicious. With the current Covid restrictions we had to dine in an outdoor tent which effects the ambiance. The tent was well heated and the meal was enjoyable.

We were the only ones in the restaurant. One of the steaks was completely burned. They did replace it for us. I also ordered a price fixed meal which was supposed to come with dessert. They didn’t give it to me.
For how much money this place charges it was very disappointing.
We did go there once before and had a way better experience.

Food was ok, the lobster was salty with the seasoning on top, and stuffed mushrooms were not hot enough. For the money it should be spot on.
Sitting in the tent was not the norm but we were seated next to the heater made it to warm and to cold when it shut off. Service was great.

Starting to run out of compliments for Ruth's Chris. Very engaging when entering the establishment. Servers are the gold standard and the food cannot be any better. Worth every penny. The ambiance is out of this world. I will visit again soon.

Other than having our meal in a tent, the service was great and our food was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

Food was not as good as expected

Wish they would open the bar to eat in instead of eating out in a tent. Many restaurants in the Barrington area are allowing inside dining. Cannot give in to this crazy government!!!

Its cold and breezy in the tent regardless of how many heaters are used. Improve it.

Having to dine in ba tent takes away from the normal experience, but given the circumstances they still do a very nice job.

Our filets were ordered medium but were delivered
to our table well done.😢
The server removed them immediately and returned soon after
with new filets and hot vegetables.
The dinner was saved and we were very satisfied.

There are no better steaks in the world than Ruth Chris! The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was amazing!

The Lobster and Bone-In Ribeye was wonderful. So was the seafood tower!

Steaks are chain restaurant quality nothing like they used to make with butter flour seared outside of a very thick filet.

Great food as usual. Love the ambiance and main reason we come here for special occasion celebrations. This time was for our Anniversary and enjoyed the food. Obviously cost is high but you should know that before going in. A little disappointed with service. Felt like first part of dinner was great and then server kind of disappeared- at times physically and other times mentally. Not that big of a deal but expect more top quality service when going to a place like this.

Anniversary

Food was not as good as previous visits. Steak was overcooked. Staff credited me a cocktail. For a $200 meal for 2, it certainly could have been much better. Very bland. Probably won’t return.

Usually we have great service and great food but not this time. We were celebrating my son's b-day and there were 6 of us in total for dinner. Messed up on several of the orders. My husband didn't get his lobster tail he ordered in addition to his meal & my son didn't get what he ordered correctly either. My son got steak when he ordered chicken. The steaks that should have been medium well were more like medium rare. And the table next to us in the small room we were in even though social distanced were so loud we could barely hear ourselves talk at our table. This in addition to the mess-ups on the food made this not an enjoyable experience. The server made it up by not charging us for my son's meal since it came 20 minutes after the rest of ours and we were all done eating. And also took off the lobster tail that my husband didn't get. But the experience was not great so glad it wasn't our 1st time or we probably wouldn't of come back. Hopefully next time we are there our experience will be what it normally is and have great food, great service and an overall great experience.

Initial seating was in a side room with movable partition walls and no ambiance. We asked to move to main dining area. For these prices, totally unacceptable.

Food was fabulous as always, but I missed the mushrooms- no soup, side dish or steak topper. Waitress was ok, but more an average restaurant waitress, not superb as usual at Ruth’s Chris. She didn’t introduce side help. She took bread before we were ready. Tried to take other plates before we were finished. Unfamiliar with wine. We’ll be back, but definitely ask for a different wait staff.

Restaurant has gone downhill and is not as good as other RCs. Food was just okay, service was slow, and restaurant looks tired.

This was an Anniversary celebration and everything was so wonderful. They decorated our booth with some celebration decor and were very friendly and congratulated us. Natalie our server was the best. Gave us a good recommendation for wine. Our order consisted of Shrimp cocktail, filets with asparagus, sweet potatoe casserole, potatoes au gratin, bread a d desserts if bread pudding with Jack Daniels sauce and a cheesecake plus coffee that was very flavorful. We drove about 80 miles one way to this location since downtown Chicago is closed. Well worth the gas and time!

Food and service were great as usual but we were seated by a screeching toddler and there was another screeching toddler in the restaurant too! We went for my wife’s birthday. I guess not Ruth Chris issue but parents who bring wrong children to a fine dining place. Don’t get that

We sat at the bar and the staff was outstanding!

Tables were spaced out and safe for COVID procedures. Disappointed that tomahawk dinner for 2 was sold out even though menu was provided to us. The cowboy ribeye was cooked well and had good flavor. The filet mignon however was overcooked. Expected better from a steak house.

Food and service where excellent as well as the accommodations during these trying times.

We come here all the time, but it was way too busy and there are some new policies that make this much less enjoyable than in the past.

Still a big RC fan, and will be back either way, but missed the mark compared to our normal 5 star experience.

The prices are really expensive, but we knew that and were celebrating our anniversary. The decorated our table with little "happy anniversary" signs which was nice. They also brought us a desert for our anniversary, but they charged us for it. We never ordered it and thought it was complimentary. Since we didn't order it, I don't think we should have been charged. The food was very good, but crazy expensive.
