Ruth's Chris Steak House - Seattle Ratings and Reviews
We came for dinner before attending the play, Wicked, at the Paramount Theatre. We had the petite filets and ordered the trio of sauces. We would highly recommend the truffle butter for your steak. The medium rare steaks were perfect and came out on hot sizzling plates. The bread served before the meal was heavenly. Table was cleared immediately upon finishing our meal. We would highly recommend the truffle butter for your steak. Service was excellent. Can hardly wait until we can bring friends to enjoy your restaurant. Keep up the good work!
Took a friend for her birthday before seeing a show at the Paramount. Everything was great except her lobster which was overcooked. That was a bit disappointing. Our server Jesse was fantastic and the restaurant will keep leftovers in the fridge to take home until after the show which was a very nice service. I would go again just for that. Steak was excellent. Salad so so and the cheesecake was very good.
we noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary. When we arrived, our table was decorated with anniversary confetti. THe service was perfect and the food was times well. Our server even surprised us with a champagne toast and special dessert. It really made us feel very special!
We went here on a Friday night prior to Wicked. We had only chosen this restaurant due to it being a Friday night and with traffic in Seattle we wanted to be the closet we could get to the Paramount. We thought, "how could you go wrong with a chain like Ruth's Chris?"....... Except for the location, I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was very average to poor. If you are looking for a great steak El Gaucho and/or The Metropolitan Grill is the place to go. Even though there were many service people, the service was either excrutiatingly slow or like our main course, pushed way too quickly. We hadn't even finished our salads that we had waited 30 minutes for when our main course arrived. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our dessert. If you need the location, then sure I would recommend it. If you want to get food for the price you are paying for, then try somewhere else.
My wife and I have been to several RC around the country and are big fans. We relocated to Seattle about a year ago and this was our first time going to the our local Ruth's Chris. THe service was marginal at best. After ordering, my wife's menu sat on the table for over 15 minutes. We both ordered a Filet. They were cooked perfectly but her steak had a very strange and unappealing texture. My steak was tough, not at all what I would expect from RC. After we finished dinner, the plates sat on the table for quite a while before being cleared. The overall experience was strictly ok and I expect a lot more than ok when dining at a Ruth's Chris. I can't say that we will never go back to this location but it will be a while. There a lot of other options in downtown Seattle.
Ribeye steak was very good, but not quite as good as other places such as The Met. Lobster mac n cheese and spinach au gratin were both excellent and very filling, each side was easily enough for two to share with some left over. We also tried the Ahi appetizer, very tasty but the sauce had a very strong flavor which some may not like.
It was kinda crowded, but the service was excellent and it was a nice place for a date night. A little pricey though, since it's around $45-50 for a steak and you pay for the sides that you want. We only had to walk a couple minutes to get to the Paramount, so that was a bonus!
Took my college grad son and family to celebrate. All were happy with the Classic Menu and the choices it offered. This was his first "Premium Steak" experience. Not only did he enjoy the meal, he polished off what was left later than evening. Service and experience was top notch as have been on past visits.
Never had the chance to try this place in the past. It was near the Paramount Theater, where we we going to see Joe Bonamassa, so we thought we would give it a try. Excellent choice! Steaks we perfectly cooked, and the service was great! Next time we visit Seattle we'll go again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day dinner, once again at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Both the food and the service was outstanding. The salads were delicious, as well as good sized servings. The steaks were cooked to perfection and served on those very hot plates that allow you to add the side dish (in this case the corn) to sizzle with the juices from the steak. Definitely our favorite place to dine in Seattle. Looking forward to going back!
Went to Ruth's Chris for my boyfriend's 30 birthday dinner. The service, the ambiance, and the food was great. My boyfriend said the steak was good, but the lobster was better. Make sure you order your steaks to the right temp! He accidentally asked for his a little too well done.
I understand this is a steakhouse, but as a vegetarian, I feel much more "included" when there is more than one vegetarian option. There is only one here, which was delicious, but we veggies are people too! I was impressed though that although there is no vegetarian option on the kids' menu, they made a "mini" vegetarian plate for my 4 year old son which he devoured.
Was a great time, would be happy to return.
I have visited Ruth's Chris at different locations on many occasions, including the one in Seattle, though at the old location. This time around, the food was excellent and the waitress we had was very good too - no problems there. The only issue I have was that the entrees arrived before we had finished the appetizers. This has happened to me before at a Ruth's Chris establishment - I don't believe that I, or my different associates, are slow eaters! Clearly, from my vantage point at least, this will be a negative when deciding whether to go to a Ruth's Chris or other establishment.
I loved Ruth's Chris in Bellevue, and it's been awhile since I went there, because I moved to Seattle dt. So I decided to check it out here. Not sure if that's the location or overall issue with the chain, but the steaks were not great. Looks like the meat they use there these days is not the same quality as before. Will not go again, will probably go to Metropolitan instead...
Got to restaurant early and happy hour was still in full explosion. I asked the manager if we could be seated in quieter area and he said the rowdy crowd would be leaving soon when happy hour ended and he was right. After that it was the usual Ruth’s Chris experience: world class steaks!
Food is good but full of sauces, butter, and cheese that increase the number of calories and ruin the taste of an otherwise we'll cooked piece of meat or vegetable. Not for the health-conscious... My petit filet was medium rare as asked, but came on a very hot plate. By the time I was done it was medium. It was also swimming in melted butter. Why? Our waiter seemed to be in a rush and misunderstood one of our orders. Noise was unbearable. Overall, too expensive for the quality we got.
There is nothing outstanding about this restaurant however it is quality in all the areas you would look. The steaks are great as you would expect, the sides offered are traditional of a steakhouse. The ambience of the restaurant is good as well, nicely decorated, yet some of the bench seating takes away from the intimate feel. The service was top notch. Overall it was a good meal but what you would expect for the price.
We went for a romantic dinner. Although we were seated in a booth, there were no raised walls, no privacy. The service was almost too good; we felt rushed. No breathing between courses. Drinks Hella expensive. Should be listed as 4 $$$$. Food was terrific. Overall good.
We had dinner before going to the theater. The restaurant was packed and the staff appeared overwhelmed.
Our server took our drink order in a timely manner but we waited an unusually long time for the drinks to arrive. Our server was not well trained. It is customary to begin taking the order from the females (perhaps I am old fashioned but it is good manners) yet our server was going to begin with the guys. And he didn't appreciate my recommending he begin with the gals! We waited a very long time for appetizers that were average in flavor and presentation. The highlight was the seared ahi tuna. We had to catch the attention of the wait staff to bring a missing soup spoon and several forks when the entrees were served. The filets ordered were very tender but lacked any texture and were bland. The side of fries ordered was cool and clearly had been sitting before being served. We were informed it would take at least 12-14 minutes to get a fresh order so we cancelled them. The side of shrimp to accompany one of the steaks ordered was barely warm and lacked any flavor. The chop salad also lacked flavor in spite of being filled with many ingredients. The mushroom and spinach sides were good. And the bread was outstanding.
The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice but it was so noisy that our party of 5 had to raise our voices to be heard.
This was a very disappointing experience.
We have been Ruth's Chris patrons for years. Not all chains are created equal but I'd have to say this is up there with our favorite in Anaheim. The steaks were perfect and the meal came out in a timely manner. The seats were comfortable but the booth was a little snug. It is nice inside but still love the ambience at Anaheim. We requested gluten free menus, which they provided, however; they were outdated. The service was impeccable. We will definitely go back.
