Ruth's Chris Steak House - Seattle Ratings and Reviews
Food was great! They decorated our table for my husband’s birthday and gave us a complimentary champagne toast and birthday dessert at the end. The lobster was so amazing. It melted in my mouth. My steak was a little over cooked but still very tender and juicy. The service was awesome. Our server was very easy to talk to and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, pleasant experience.
We were seated in the basement level which was very nice, but there was no cell phone service. So if you need to be reachable don’t have them sit you there. Service is too much for me, too many people asking how everything is. Which some may like, but I don’t. I prefer their bar area which is often filled when I’ve visited.
Filet mignon and sourdough bread are lovely to tuck into on a date, especially alongside an expertly made dirty martini. But the ambiance at this restaurant and the proud way they serve a handful of so-so asparagus with a ramekin of lumpy hollandaise feels dated. If the server offers unsolicited help about how to eek the most value from the menu at a high-end steakhouse, you know something is amiss. They were sweet, though, and the steak was yummy. Probably won’t be back except to grab another dirty martini.
Two steaks a little undercooked. The server was nice and sent it back for a little more. Steak returned not medium but week done. Un eatable. The fries were soft and like they were cooked, but fried. The worst fries ever. No discount for the experience. I have been at this restaurant multiple times throughout the years, and normally quite good an experience.
Ruth's Chris is always a special treat for me. This was a birthday occasion for a young man with a healthy appetite for beef! He ordered and ate a 16 oz. Ribeye! We took my 88 year old Mother this year and she was very impressed. She was unable to eat all of her Petite Filet and remarked that this was the fanciest doggy bag she had ever seen! Everyone was very pleased with their choices - all beef! I hope it isn't another year before I get to go back.
Service was great. Food was honestly not what I’ve come to expect from Ruth’s. I put Ruth’s in the same class as Morton’s, el Gaucho and del frisco’s. Each has their own unique aspects, but all are around the same price point and the food at any of them is comparably outstanding. Our meals this time were good, but definitely not outstanding. Hasn’t soured me on Ruth’s, but was disappointing.
A very good steak house. Steak house food on the whole is not surprising or very innovative - you know what you are going to get, and Ruth's Chris delivers and meets expectations. The service exceeded expectations, however, and made the dinner very special.
Nice ambiance with delicious food.
Our server, Nelson was very nice, his service was well timed and friendly. Recommend for friends, families and couples. Stuffed chicken and lobster tails were cooked perfectly. However I must say the serve was really large for me :) (ha ha tiny stomach).
I've gone to a Ruth's Chris in many cities over the years and went there for my usual steak. Their menu has changes, they have cut back on several options including cut of meat, no peppercorn sauce for the steak, no side of mushroom specifically for the steak. I found my rib eye was just fair and the baked potato was cold. With these changes I will most likely be going to a different steak house in any future visits .
Really did not Wow us, so didn't feel the value this time. Came last year for Thanksgiving and it was amazing food and service. However, this time no special menu for Christmas Dinner and very plain. For about $100 per person we feel it should be very special. We had a plane stake (Hunk of meat), mashed potatoes, ceasar salad and appetizer that was just so so. If we had paid $40 per person that would have been about right. Not planning on going back, as nice servers but the value must match the price.
