Ruth's Chris Steak House - Seattle Ratings and Reviews
Service was great. Food was honestly not what I’ve come to expect from Ruth’s. I put Ruth’s in the same class as Morton’s, el Gaucho and del frisco’s. Each has their own unique aspects, but all are around the same price point and the food at any of them is comparably outstanding. Our meals this time were good, but definitely not outstanding. Hasn’t soured me on Ruth’s, but was disappointing.
A very good steak house. Steak house food on the whole is not surprising or very innovative - you know what you are going to get, and Ruth's Chris delivers and meets expectations. The service exceeded expectations, however, and made the dinner very special.
Nice ambiance with delicious food.
Our server, Nelson was very nice, his service was well timed and friendly. Recommend for friends, families and couples. Stuffed chicken and lobster tails were cooked perfectly. However I must say the serve was really large for me :) (ha ha tiny stomach).
I've gone to a Ruth's Chris in many cities over the years and went there for my usual steak. Their menu has changes, they have cut back on several options including cut of meat, no peppercorn sauce for the steak, no side of mushroom specifically for the steak. I found my rib eye was just fair and the baked potato was cold. With these changes I will most likely be going to a different steak house in any future visits .
Really did not Wow us, so didn't feel the value this time. Came last year for Thanksgiving and it was amazing food and service. However, this time no special menu for Christmas Dinner and very plain. For about $100 per person we feel it should be very special. We had a plane stake (Hunk of meat), mashed potatoes, ceasar salad and appetizer that was just so so. If we had paid $40 per person that would have been about right. Not planning on going back, as nice servers but the value must match the price.
There were not 20 people in the restaurant that day for lunch. BUT service was slow and my daughter ordered the salad with cooked chicken. The salad was fine BUT the chicken was like a wing with the skin on it? I had steak sandwich, no bread and it was tough. Disappointed.
Made my 12/22 reservation on OpenTable at short notice & was confirmed. Efficient reception & seating to table with responsive tableside service.
Good restaurant ambience, with upscale atmosphere & a wide menu selection.
The meal was well presented & exactly as requested. No rush during the dining experience & good service.
Will be returning for future dining.
Expensive as always, but the steaks are really good. Our complaint was with the wine - the restaurant was out of one of its promoted wines and the backup recommended by the waiter took a while to arrive and was quite cold all through the meal, severely diminishing the wine's taste.
WE chose Ruth's Chris based on it's proximity to the theater we were attending. Our server was very conscious of the time we needed to be leaving in order to make our show but never rushed us and I appreciated that very much. I would have liked a bit more prompt service when it came to ordering cocktails but it was a busy Saturday night.
Ordered their special pre theater meal. The salad was fine, however, the steak was surprisingly disappointing. Ordered the New York and both the quality and presentation were something I’d expect from Denny’s not a steak house. We brought our concerns to the waiter who offered to replace it with a different cut which we accepted, however, the filet they replaced it with was also of sub par quality in my opinion. I would not go here for a steak again.
Our waiter (Justin? younger, dark-complected, slight build) spilled an entire glass of red wine on my son and daughter -- a full-on mess requiring entirely new table cloths, multiple mea culpas, etc. The elderly, balding water-filler clumsily filled water, almost tipping over glasses in the process, seemingly oblivious to us. Not sure what the policy/protocol is when a major spill occurs, but was floored when nothing was "offered" for the disruption in the ambience or the red wine stains on our clothes. Didn't even comp the drinks. We've come up from Tacoma for the past three years for our Seattle weekend but won't ever again. I would have thought a $600 dinner might make us a valued customer, but we certainly didn't feel the love.
Komoto tomatoes with mozzarella and dark balsamic was extraordinarily good. I could have made a meal of that alone. The 11 ounce filet was probably the best I've had in years. I couldn't afford to purchase this type of meal on a daily basis but for good occasions, you really get your money's worth.
The food was fabulous and the restaurant was very quiet on a Saturday at noon. The server(s) was attentive without being intrusive. This restaurant was a great choice for us to dine with our cousins before heading to a concert. We would defiantly return.
If dining here and then heading to Key Arena I suggest leaving your car near the restaurant and taking a cab to Key Arena.
We had a wonderful evening! I've had a lot of expensive steak dinners in my lifetime, and this one takes the cake! My $60 steak was well worth every penny, and the other diners at our table had the same reaction to their dinners. They also went above and beyond to make sure the person at our table with a dairy/beef allergy was fed delicious food as well.
