I came here with my boyfriend over the weekend as we celebrated Valentine's Day. He's been talking about it since I moved to Seattle, and O-M-G, what a wonderful experience we had! From the moment we walked into the door, the service was amazing. The host/hostess was great and very personable. Once we sat down, our server was a delight (I should know better than to write a review and not remember my server's name), but he was spectacular. The star of the review, of course, is the food! The steak we ordered was more than to our liking and the lobster mac & cheese -- I died and went to heaven. Overall, I had a great time and Im glad Ruth's Chris is the first of many romantic dinners I'll have in Seattle! Thank you!
Great place for a date. Good good, drinks, and service !
This was really a disappointing experience for our party of 3. We arrived at 7:29 for our 7:30 reservation and were not seated until 7:48 while another party of 3 came in after us and were seated before us. We ordered our meals and when they arrived, they had forgotten the fries (hadn’t even made them) and the bearnaise my husband had ordered. We had to inquire again on the sauce before it was delivered. My husband ordered his filet medium well but it came very well done and charred. He sent it back and they brought him a new one which was very rare. By this time he just said “forget it” and they removed it from the bill. Meanwhile my son was asked if he would like a second Shirley temple (yes) but they never brought it. My dinner was just fine, so I was the lucky one! They comped us dessert which was delicious. I’m not sure what was going on, but the host was frantic, the service was not reliable, and the steak preparation skills were lacking. Not a great night for Ruth’s Chris. 😕
Server was nice but not attentive enough. Left us for long periods of time. We had to ask numerous other wait staff for plates, untensils, etc.... the drinks are ridiculously priced. I had two cocktails in a very small tumbler glass which were $14 a piece. Greed should override decency. Making a profit is fine gouging customers is not.
Can get loud. Order the Brussels sprouts. Sometimes even with a reservation you may wait 5-10 min. If you are seated by the main entrance, it will be cold.
So-so had to send our steaks back. We asked for medium, they were rare. The front door was locked and we had to go through the main hotel to gain access. Although we stated we booked through
Open Table we were not checked in. This has happened on three occasions at this location. As downtown Seattle residents, and frequent clients we will think again before booking lunch or dinner here.
Hostess desk had five employees having an argument in the open. We had to wait until they were done arguing to tell them our reservation name. Then, we were sat in the bar. Major disappointment. Food is very good and consistent.
Service was very good, cordial, efficient and prompt. The steaks were very good and sell prepared.
The price is high for the total package. The seating is quite close and the noise level was sometimes quite high.
Great food, wonderful time out. One of my favorite places to go
Loved my experience and the service received while dining there.
We were seated quickly. Our server was friendly. Steaks we're undercooked for medium rare. Almost no brown along the edge. We were supposed to get a small discount as our hotel said we would with showing our room key. That didn't happen. Overall, it was an okay dinning experience, but not what we had expected for Ruth's Chris.
The food was great as always, but rather than feeling romantic on Valentine’s Day, the atmosphere was a bit frenetic. Servers running to and fro, salads forgotten, some tables lacking rose petals…
Wonderful night. Great food, great service, great ambience.
I went to Ruth's Chris goes Valentine's breakfast, We had a blast. Our server,Evelyn is amazing and personable. She had great food suggestions and was very patient.
Went to RC for my birthday and it did not disappoint. When you’re talking high-end steak spot this is my go-to place.
Always delish. Filet was perfect. Never misses the target.
My favorite restaurant. Perfect food, awesome experience.
My wife and I flew to Seattle for a surprise birthday. We had the tomahawk steak at the recommendation of our waiter and it was absolutely delicious.
PS -thanks to Tim for calling us in Alaska and giving us a heads up on the storm. We made it just in time and had the trip of a lifetime!
I ordered the small ribeye and it was unbelievably fatty. I should have sent it back. Side of fries was soggy
Great place for cocktail hour for a quite drink after work. No loud people, just a quite place that allows you to think without distractions.
Great steaks and food. The secret ingredient is butter.
The food was great but our server wasn’t very attentive. We have ate here numerous times. The server is usually amazing. However, this time we were treated poorly. Our drinks were not refilled unless we asked. I ordered sauce for my steak and it didn’t come until 10 minutes after I got my steak. So my food was cold by then. When we arrived for our reservation the hostess said she assumed we didn’t have a reservation. I have no idea why she “assumed” we didn’t have a reservation. Perhaps because we had two children with us? The whole experience just turned us off to Ruth’s Chris and we will take our business elsewhere. We did not complain because we just aren’t the type to do that. This has always been our go to place when we go to Seattle for a show at the Paramount. Sad to say that will be no longer. There are too many other amazing places to eat in Seattle.
This was a disappointing visit. Despite having a long-standing reservation, we were placed next to the kitchen, in a worse table than walk-ins just before us. Why couldn't RCSH hold a good table for us? Arrived at 6:05...waited 15 mins to have orders taken...salad arrived at 6:30 before our drinks. Steak ordered "medium" was definitely "medium-well". But when it arrives 30 mins after being ordered and you need to leave in 20, you don't really have an opportunity to have them re-do it. Nothing terrible but $200 for two to have a small steak, a salad, and one drink should not be this mediocre an experience.
I ordered Sirloin and it was deliciously cooked to perfection . My parter did not have the same luck! He ordered crab cakes and he found his meal bland and fishy. On a positive note all the sides are spectacular and the overall service was spectacular
Dinner with a friend before Paramount Theatre. Light dinner of appetizer and salads. Chatting, almost missed when we needed to,leave.
Super steak well prepared only wish the had one smaller steak as my wife never can finish it
Took a little time for food coming. Ribeye and beer was just awesome.
Service was excellent. And the food was outstanding
Everyone was amazing! It was our 1st wedding anniversary & they went out of their way to make it a special occasion. I would definitely recommend Ruth Chris in Seattle.
Amazing steak, nice side dishes.
Nice food and very satisfying service. Was nice experience with Mom. Thanks
Lunch. Special menu all we needed
Service was great from the get-go. Excellent seating with our reservation, lighting and ambiance were great. We ordered the porterhouse for 2, medium-rare. Flavor was decent, tasted more like a pot roast and half of it was definitely not medium-rare.
Great experience, great food, great restaurant
First time going to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. It was fantastic! Great food, quiet environment and casual! Recommend to anyone.
We let them know at the beginning of the meal that we were going to a show at the Paramount. We had two hours to work with. My husband ordered his steak cooked medium plus it came out well plus, not even a sliver of pink and tough to cut - we sent it back it took a very long time to come back we had each ordered the Ruth's Chris Special which is a prefixe that comes with soup or salad, entree, individual side and dessert we told the server we would not have time for the dessert because it was taking so long and to just cash us out. She instead went and spent 20 minutes getting dessert boxed and not cashing us out. I appreciate the sentiment but I would have appreciated her doing what we asked more so we could just get to the theater. Table behind us had the EXACT same problem.
