Ruth's Chris Steak House - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
We went for my birthday and intended to spend a great deal of money and enjoy ourselves. We went with another couple and really had a nice evening with good friends and great food. There were a few times I had to ask for a refill on my water and twice asked for more bread. I did not like that our steaks came out on sizzling plates but due to the service staff not knowing which plate went where, the plates were no longer sizzling when it got to us. The plates were still hot but not sizzling to give that effect. The part that really was disappointing with me was they overcharged us and added a lobster tail to our bill when I did not order it - and did not receive it. The strange part, the waitress asked me if I was suppose to have a lobster tail and I told her no, so you would've thought she would make sure our bill was accurate. We were with friends and chatting, so when the bill came, we paid it without going over the itemized bill. You just assume the bill will be accurate but that is our error. I called the restaurant and the manager apologized and credited back the lobster tail. She then offers to send a gift card for the inconvenience. I just think at a high end restaurant, accurate billing is a must.
Come here every year for our anniversary. They do an amazing job year in and year out to make it special for us. It has become our tradition. We originally started this at the Ruth's Chris in Las Vegas at Harrah's (which has an amazing view of the strip at night) and have moved it to the Scottsdale location. View isn't as remarkable but very good either way. Service is fast and friendly and the food is amazing. We will continue to come back every year.
The food was great for the most part. Several of our steaks were overcooked. Still very tasty and tender. They were out of the bone in NY strip. The stuffed mushrooms and lobster Mac and cheese were delicious. The only real complaint was our server. He was agitated and took forever to do anything. Removing the wine glasses from the table was stressful for him. Thank goodness for his assistant Adam that made for some more relaxing service moments of the evening. Very odd experience for us. We have been there twice before with similarly large parties and got excellent service.
Very pleased with Adam our server. Food, as always, was excellent. Really enjoyed the "new drink," the New Fashioned. Only complaint, it seemed there was quite a drag between the end of the meal and ordering the desert. We sat for over 15 minutes. Again the only issue.
Pleasant environment with excellent service and above average food. We especially enjoyed the calamari starter. The petit filet and crab cakes were very good. Also, the room was spacious with tables not crowded together so our conversation seemed private, relaxed and comfortable. Enjoyable experience had by all!
We were there for Father's Day. The four of us were more than satisfied. Even our picky eater was impressed and happy. This was actually all of our first time experiencing Ruth's Chris. It was ah-mazing! Both petite filets were prepared to perfection. I felt like my eyes would roll back in my head. The person who ordered the stuffed chicken said it was the best chicken they had ever eaten. You can't go wrong with the lobster macaroni and cheese. They even altered the ingredients for our eater who couldn't handle spicy food. The waiter and assisting staff were great, very accommodating and personable. The manager came around to every table and presented a Father's Day gift. That added touch was very special for the day. It was pricey... but being that it was a special occasion, well worth it for the experience and the food. We'll definitely be back.
The food was excellent! However, there were a couple things wrong with our order that we had asked for when we originally ordered (no bleu cheese, swapped preparedness of steaks, etc.). We had ordered the bread pudding, however it did not seem like it was bread pudding at all and didn't look anything like the pictures online. Overall, the food was excellent but just a couple minor details missed you wouldn't expect from a restaurant such as this.
Ruth's Chris is an exceptional chain restaurant with high standards. Their chefs know how to prepare and cook high-quality meats aa well as perfectly-steamed vegetables. We have always been very pleased with their service also. It's a nice place to celebrate a special occasion too.
Met my cousin and his wife for as dinner . We ordered off the classic menu and were very happy. Steaks melt in you mouth. His wife ordered the salmon and raved about it. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. Todd was our server and I would ask for him if and when we go back. Had a great time.
My wife and I went for dinner to celebrate my 65th Birthday on June 6th. First of all, our server Michael, was great and very attentive. Also, as always, the food was outstanding and we couldn't have had a better meal, surroundings, etc. The drinks were great as well.
We were celebrating our anniversary, and were greeted to confetti at our window-side table. The waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable. Steaks were cooked exactly to our specifications. We also received a complimentary photo & dessert. We would definitely recommend Ruth's Chris for any special occasion dinner.
We try never to miss Ruth's Chris during AZ Restaurant Week. This one was no exception.
The filets we had were the very best we'd ever had, here or anywhere! Sides of sweet potato casserole & creamed spinach were terrific as always. We were, however, disappointed that the gazpacho with crab as an appetizer was taken off the menu. It was unique & delicious, & we hope the restaurant reconsiders & offers it again. For dessert we both chose the chocolate sin cake, or "death by chocolate" because it's so rich & scrumptious.
So, the food was wonderful as always. The service was not. We waited a long time to be greeted by our server, to get water, & even to get bread which we had to remind the assistant to bring. Service was subpar through most of the meal, & I have to wonder why. Perhaps the server was "not ready for prime time" nor was his assistant. The men who brought the entrees & sides, though, were top notch. We will expect that service has improved by the next time we dine at Ruth's Chris or we will request another server.
It was roughly my 20th visit to this chain and worst of them all. Didn't butterfly my steak and cooked it medium rare instead of medium well. They cooked it more and comped the entree but not longing to go back anytime soon.
Much better than my last outing here. The food is substantially better than the last time I went. Our waiter was excellent. I really do not care for those tiny plates they serve everything on...it bugs me. I also think the interior space, while better than it was 3-4 years ago, looks like a hotel banquet room. I don't know who does the interiors for Ruth Chris, but they need to find someone else. It just doesn't have that ambience that the nice steakhouse needs. Go to Capitol Grille or Dominick's to see what a good steakhouse should look like.
