Many of our guests enjoy the convenience of the Whitaker Street parking garage , which is situated directly behind our establishment. It may be accessed by turning south onto Whitaker Street from Bay Street.
There is also ample street parking available surrounding our location. Street Parking is free after 5 pm on weekday, and all day on weekends.

This trip felt like I was paying five-star prices for a neighborhood steak house. The steak was great, as I would expect from RC, but it with all the new choices at similar price points in Savannah, it will be a while before I go back.
The restaurant was very noisy, and a little brightly lit. (Did they recently re-paint and re-upholster, but not adjust the lighting?) The noise level, plus the bright lighting, really made it feel like less than fine dining experience. The service wasn't as polished as I've come to expect from Ruth's Chris: The server had long hair that wasn't pulled back. Water was poured into the wine glass. Plates were presented a little off-center. Took quite a while for wine to be delivered.
Overall, it just felt like this location wasn't taking the experience seriously, and that's a shame, because I was spending serious money.
Jared was a great server. Only minor issue (which Jared couldn't be expected to address) was the small table we had along the wall. It was pretty tight in there.
The food was the usual excellent Ruth's Chris experience. My wife had the stuffed chicken and I had the bone-in NY Strip. Both were very good.
Steaks cooked and plated to perfection. Great ambiance. Nice mostly well-dressed crowd... a few frayed jeans and T-shirts but, Hey, this is a college town. We had a waiter trainee who was trying his best, but not quite up to standard for a $100.00/plate establishment. His trainer only showed up once and seemed totally slammed by her workload. The Manager did swing by and asked how things were... she was totally nice and professional. Overall, a very fine dining experience and we will certainly return.
No one cooks a steak as well as Ruth's Chris! Yes, they start with great beef, but to cook it so perfectly is an art. Crisp sear on the outside, buttery smooth inside. And our service was impeccable: friendly without being intrusive, there when we needed them but not hovering.
Dined with a few of my girlfriends for the first time in a while. The renovations are breathtakingly beautiful, created the perfect ambiance. Bob took care of us, his service and presence were impeccable. Food was fantastic, as always, everything was perfectly prepared. Managers Rachel & Lucian both stopped by to check in which was wonderful. Another stellar RC experience for the books, will always return when in Savannah!
Ryan and Jessica took great care of myself and 2 friends last night in the lounge (which has been recently renovated and is beautiful!). Two friendly managers (Lucian and Rachel) approached us separately to ensure our satisfaction. Always feel well taken care of at our favorite Savannah steak house.
We had a wonderful dining experience on Tuesday evening. Matty really made our dinner special all the way through our reservation. All of our food tasted amazing and our steaks were perfectly cooked. The wine presentation was definitely the highlight of the night with a cool, new decanter called a "vino volve" that spins the wine to aerate it. I would highly recommend Ruth's Chris Savannah for any occasion!
Our experience was top notch as always. We try to get here about every 3 weeks. Richard and Nathan took care of us tonight. They are very professional and knowledgeable. Our food was superior as always, filets with baked potato... spicy shrimp. It's all great!
As usual Ruth's Chris Prime Rib-Eye never disappoints. My wife and I received two perfectly cooked, to medium rare rib-eyes! My appetizer BBQ Shrimp was delicious. However, my wife's Kumato Mozzarella appetizer was very skimpy, serving just a few small cubes of cheese, and over marinated, diced tomatoes. Most every other top restaurant serves full slices of Mozzarella and large Beefsteak tomato slices for this dish. The Potato Au gratin side and the Lobster Mac & Cheese side were both very generous in portion size and quite good. Kristopher our server was very personable and extremely attentive.
We were disappointed with our latest visit on Thanksgiving day. Service was not up to usual standards. We had to ask for our water, bread and wine a second time (I think our server was over-worked). The temperature was uncomfortably cold. I noticed people other than us complaining. We were told that "the manager was aware of the problem". The food was excellent as usual but because of the ambient air temperature, it was ice-cold before we could finish eating. It was just not the pleasant dining experience one would expect at Ruth's Chris'.
Me and my wife left for Savannah for some much needed time off. She had always wanted to eat at Ruth’s Chris, so that’s where we went. I ordered lamb chops, Brussels sprouts with a Ruth’s Chris chop salad, and she ordered the stuffed chicken with the shoestring fries and ceasar salad. My lamb was so tough that I couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife. My wife’s stuffed chicken was like eating chicken stuffed with cheese soup, the stuffing was way too soupy. Not to mention that her shoestring fries were undercooked and limp. So we both ate on her chicken, and my Brussels sprouts.
Albeit, it is a very nice restaurant, and overall nice wait staff. I was very disappointed with the lackluster food.
Overall I enjoyed the experience. Our server was very inconsistent. He never refilled our drinks and left several items off of our orders. Due to his inconsistency, we did not wait for the items. We accepted what we had received and decided to leave it alone because it was getting late and wanted to be considerate of the restaurants closing hours. I would definitely go back, hoping that the service is much better.
This restaurant does not stands up for Ruth Chris reputation, our server was busy so we got our second glass of wine when I actually got up and asked one of the managers to please tell our server to bring our drinks before we finish dinner since we were halfway already, our server came with the bill without offering dessert, I asked for the menu and ordered a Irish coffee, the table across from us had several problems too and the manager apologized to them, defetnely no up to Ruth Chris standards, and today my tummy hurts, I really retreat going there.
This has been the 5th different Ruth's Chris I have been too. I have never been disappointed and it amazes me how consistently excellent the food is. This location we were served by Denise who was fairly new but it seemed like she has been there for years. Her Southern hospitality was amazing and made us feel right home in Savannah. I will be back again and hope Denise is there when I do visit Savannah next time.
Ruth's Chris is NOT the place to dine at when looking for an inexpensive meal, but it IS the place to go when you want VERY Tender, VERY Flavorful, Perfectly Cooked PRIME Beef. We got exactly what we paid for and had the bonus of dining in the Wine Cellar. Our servers were Top Notch. We even received celebratory Champagne Flutes because of finishing the Half Marathon that morning. We were VERY Pleased! Thank you to the staff for providing us with a delightful evening!
