Consistent high quality food and service. We were in one of small side rooms and the noise level was great. Otherwise the restaurant is noisy.
Excellent meal good service minor service omissions but a positive experience and would come again
The atmosphere and decor are inpeccible. The wait staff is conscientious. Service is commendable. Food is exceptional. Consistency in quality. A real dining experience.
We had my granddaughter's 21st birthday dinner there. The table was decorated with sprinkles of happy birthday, balloons, and even a card signed by the the staff. Service was impeccable. Our server Jeanie was friendly, informative, and always on top of drink refills. Courses came out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Side dishes also delicious and good sized portions. But make sure you save room for their desserts. We had creme brulee, cheesecake, bread pudding all were awesome, and obviously made fresh in their kitchen. We will be back as this was a wonderful experience.
Always fabulous! Celebrating my parents 62 nd anniversary. They had rose petals and a card signed by the entire staff on the table when we arrived. Service and food were great! A perfect evening!
Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, attentive but not in your face. Even bus boys were extremely courteous and obliging. A most delightful experience.
Food was tremendous!!
They have an excellent happy hour, great bartenders and drinks. The staff, service, and atmosphere was very good, and all the food from appetizer, salad, steaks and chops, to dessert was excellent. Very enjoyable dinner.
The meal was exactly what you would expect from Ruth’s Chris....excellent.
Our server, Deborah, was delightful which made our birthday celebration more pleasurable.
Service was wonderful as usual
Food and ambiance were excellent. Editor was foo solicitious.
Food was delicious. Server was just ok. The busser/helper was great and personable.
Excellent service , food was done perfectly , wine selection rich .
Great for a special occasion
Celebrated our anniversary at Ruth's. Fabulous food and service as usual. Would recommend the crab stacks for an appetizer. Great wine selection too! Wonderful place to celebrate special occasions.
Food was great. Ruth classic meals are a good value. Service was outstanding.
It was great! Service, ambiance & food, all exceptional!
I have eaten at Ruths Chris many times in other locations and have never had a bad experience until now. The Sarasota location was by far, not the famous RC experience. We had to wait on service. The steaks were cold and not flavorful. Most of our meal was cold.
The kids gave us a gift card for Ruth Chris, so we saved it for a special occasion. The service and ambience are great, but I give the food a C . For the prices, it should be so much better.
$60 for a steak with no salad and no sides.
I really liked my wine, which was reasonably priced. I had a 12 oz. ribeye which was cooked perfectly but was very greasy. They do cook the steaks in butter.
The side dishes were unremarkable. Garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini.
I did Really like the butternut squash bisque.
I just felt it was unnecessarily expensive.
We had a great 50th wedding anniversary dinner at Ruth's Chris Sarasota. The staff was great, the dinner was superb, the service was wonderful and the deference they gave to us and the complementary deserts were very nice as was the anniversary card from the staff. We have celebrated our anniversary with dinner at this Ruth's Chris 8 of the last 10 years, and we love it! Thanks, Ruth's Chris Sarasota!
Food was very good but we waited a long time (almost an hour) after our salads.
All of us have been to Ruth’s Chris for dinner, two of us at this location and the third member of our party in Phoenix. We all agreed that on this occasion, the usual high standards and quality were absent. There were several servers, each of whom told us what responsibilities they had. Our food arrived but one of the side dishes was missing. We mentioned it to several of the serving staff and finally it arrived. The server who delivered it had an excuse for the delay, which we didn’t quite understand. Overall the food was OK, but the team approach by the serving staff was a failure. It didn’t appear that there was any communication between them. Two of us were at this restaurant last spring. We had a very pleasant lady serve us, and everything was at the standard we expected.
We were looking forward to a nice relaxing evening at dinner and understood that so would many others. We were taken to a back room where there were another 7-8 tables, all occupied. What ensued was an evening of listening to several of the tables answer their mobile phones and start loud conversations. One table of four was especially bad with his ring tone set like the old dial tones, at maximum ring sound. The food quality was also not up to standards with the lobster tail undercooked and the strip steak was not as tender as a good steak house should provide. I'm sure I was more critical of the food because of the phone issue but a night out reflects experiences in all areas. We spoke with the maitre de' on our way out and mentioned the phone issues and he said they could do nothing about people who wanted to use their phones. Being a "foodie" that has entertained globally for years, I know this is not true but reflects choice on the part of the restaurant. It appears that Ruth's Chris has made a choice that does not reflect the dining experience of the top restaurants. Neither the experience or the food reflected value or the money paid. If you wish to portray menu and dining etiquette expectations as a cornerstone, this was not done. Where we were, it appeared there was acceptance of behavior associated with someone being raised by wolves.
Valentines dinner!! Very busy!! Food was delicious and drinks refreshing!! Waiter was great very helpful!! Place was very busy but very nice environment!! Thanks for an awesome experience
Like a cafeteria dining, very noisy , very high prices with little value. Not for " Special " night out, you are jammed right next to other tables
Janelle our waitress was great!
Fabulous service and, as always, spectacular Ruth's Chris quality. Thank you for making my birthday celebration so special! :)
This is a very good steak restaurant with excellent food selections. We have dined here in the past and were aware that one of the restaurants food features is that butter features heavily in meat preparation. If you don't take action when ordering, your meat will arrive swimming in butter, which we don't find too appetizing. Our food was delivered as ordered and, overall, it was a very good experience.
Went to dinner for a Friends Birthday. Steaks were not as good as usual. Kind of a gamy taste and 3 out of 4 were over cooked. Just not up to par with the prices they charge. The service was very good and they did little things for the Birthday Girl.
Enjoyed the meal very much and as always great service
Food was watery & tasteless. Prices were awful for a terrible experience where the service wasn’t good either.
We won’t be going back!
Food was wonderful. We were celebrating a birthday and their extra touches to make the occasion special we’re perfect!
Birthday party for Daughter.
We dine at Ruth's a few times a year. This was our first visit in Sarasota. We had an issue with the appetizer (veal ravioli) coming out lukewarm on a cold plate. Sent it back and our waiter was very apologetic and remedied the problem quickly. Otherwise, enjoyed the dinner.
Even Rose Petals and a card waiting on our Anniversary Table!
Excellent service and value.
I`m from New Orleans (Metairie, to be exact) where Ruth began - and I'm 79 years of age - and I`m a steak lover - - there is no restaurant that does a steak as well as Ruth`s Chris -- none, period ! (and the chop salad is pretty darn good, too) add to that great atmosphere and professional servers -- it just doesn't get any better !
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner Saturday evening. A nice card signed by everyone and rose petals greeted us at our table.
The waite staff was friendly and well trained and most accommodating.
Cocktails were great...Highly recommend the Blackberry Sidecar. YUM!
The food was wonderful.
Our deserts also came with Happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plates.
All in all it was a perfect evening and anniversary for my husband and me!
We arrived to find a welcoming Receptionist who was proceeding to show us to our table when a second lady arrived at the desk, and held up our being seated while she decided which tables to switch, etc. there was a couple in line behind us as well, just as annoyed at being kept waiting while an employee made table changes. Once we were seated at the selected table, just outside the second door to their Private Dining Room that was occupied by a large group I was concerned. Normally when we dine there, and we have done so since they opened in Sarasota., we are seated in one of the tables at the top nearest Tamiami Trail. This second door to the Private Dining Room is used by staff to take orders as well as deliver orders, etc., not to mention the guests moving in and out as well. It was very busy around this table chosen for us as well as very very noisy. I asked a member of staff to please close the door because we could not have a conversation at this table. It was closed, then opened for access and left open. I was extremely annoyed and embarrassed for my guests. The evening was spoiled! So we were delayed access to the table due to one employee. Shown to an unacceptable table finally,
service was sporadic, and we all felt totally annoyed. Ruth Chris, not acceptable!
