Ruth's Chris always has amazing food. The filet is particularly wonderful with a rub that means no steak sauce necessary. The sizzling plate means the food stays hot throughout the meal as well.

In the SLC location, seating areas are split into three locations. There is seating at a large bar with sports showing on the TVs, an area between the door and bar, and a more separated area away from the bar. My wife and I were having a special meal and were seated in the area between the door and the bar. Groups of people congregated at the bar to chat and crowded around my wife's side of the table, making her feel a little claustrophobic. I was facing one of the TVs over the bar which was distracting and hurt the ambiance

It seems that this location is trying to have it all with the three dining areas, but the bar doesn't mix with the other $100/plate areas. Until they install some kind of divider, I would ask for a table on the other side of the divider (area 3 above) so as not to be in the bar/TV ambiance.

The portions are large enough to split. We split a salad and an 11 oz filet, added a couple of sides, and still had room for dessert.

Service was exceptional and quick as always. The team organization at Ruth's Chris means you never sit around waiting for your server... there is always someone who can deliver food, fill up a glass, etc.

Overall, still our favorite place for a steak, but we'll ask for different seating from now on.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing dinner. The staff was very kind and courteous, as well as knowledgeable about what to order and portion size. I would highly recommend this for a very nice date or special occasion. It is on the pricier side of meals but definitely worth it.

The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Jason our waiter knew just when to engage us in a little discussion and when to fade out of the picture. Oh and he looks like Jeremy Renner.
It was a little too dark. That may seem a picky point but a restaurant should be dim enough to maintain quiet romance without making one strain to read the menu. The real issue was the tables were turned longest way between us to fit more tables. With it being slightly too dark it made us strain to see each other... and she is pretty. I wanted to see her! Grin.

First time going. The food and service were fantastic. But our only problem was that we were seated close to the kitchen so constantly staff were coming and going. It was kind of difficult to focus because there was so much going on around us

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time to celebrate Valentines Day and also as a late birthday dinner.
We were seated in a quiet, romantic corner which I was ecstatic about because I get anxious in loud and busy restaurants.
Our waitress was the sweetest thing and acknowledged my birthday just from looking at my ID. She made us feel comfortable and was constantly refilling our water, checking on us and our food, etc.
The food itself was to die for. We ordered the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. I don’t like mushrooms so I just ate the stuffing but it was delicious.
I ordered the ribeye steak and the flavor was outstanding. Definitely the best steak I’ve ever had. It was so tender and the fat would melt in your mouth like butter.
The cocktails were great! I’m not very educated in wine so I didn’t try any of the wine selection, but I tried a pink grapefruit cocktail and an espresso cocktail and loved both.
For desert I got the berries and cream because I didn’t want to much sugar and was disappointed with how sweet the cream was... I didn’t eat much of that. We also ordered the cheesecake though and it was delicious.
Overall, our experience was wonderful and it was definitely a special night to remember.
