Ruth's Chris Steak House - Sacramento Ratings and Reviews
The food and service were over the top. We were running late due to traffic congestion and when we called they were able to bump or reservation 15 minutes later. Customer service was exceptional.
It was my wife’s birthday and our table was nicely decorated.
booked for wife's birthday and designated during booking, brought the family. unlike previous times, no staff mentioned the occasion or asked. The food was excellent as always, kids liked their meals. Wife and I split a bunch of items. I requested no bacon in the salad, but it still came with bacon, luckily it was larger chunks so I could pick it out. I felt the fine details that we have experienced in the past was lacking. We went earlier so I wouldn't chock it up to a busy dining room. Definitely will go back, but probably the Roseville location.
Ruth's Chris Steak House is our family's tradition for special occasions. We know the food will be excellent, the service exceptional, and our overall experience memorable. This night was no different. We came to celebrate mom's 88th birthday and as expected sat down at a 'decorated' table. The steaks were done to perfection as was the sea bass (a large thick piece of delicate fish). The Crimini mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and grilled asparagus tasty as always. The shrimp starter offered huge shrimp and the traditional sauce just a hint of horseradish (spicy for some palettes are table). The seasonal Frisee salad with beats (gold and red), goat cheese, candied pecans was a bit of a surprise as arugula was part of the mix but not noted on the menu (all other salads note what types of greens are in the mix). When the manager stopped to chat near the end of our evening and we shared our positive remarks, I also noted the surprising "peppery" taste in my salad. He confirmed it was arugula and noted that because it is a seasonal salad all the details are not printed and that I should specifically ask what greens are in a salad the next time I come. Lesson learned for this non-arugula eater. And, not to forget the wine! The 2010 pinot noir from Red Hawk Ranch was exceptional as was the old vine Zinfandel from the Frank family. And our serve was incredibly patient, helpful, caring, and clearly there to make sure we had a wonderful evening. Many thanks for her presence. We're all looking forward to our next "special" occasion to appreciate Ruth's Chris Steak House.
My husband and I were celebrating our 2 yr wedding anniversary. Our dinner table was beautifully decorated with red rose petals. It was very romantic and set for the occasion. Our server (forgot his name) was very attentive and very entertaining. He had an Italian accent. The food was perfect! We were treated with a dessert that said "Happy Anniversary". Everything was perfect.
This past visit was not as I expected. The lunches were good for the other guests. It was a birthday lunch for my brother in law. My hamburger was well done even though I had requested it to be medium. I didn't want to complain but my husband knew I wasn't happy. The server even suggested that it will have a pink center. He insisted that I have another burger cooked, but that wasn't satisfactory being that Ruth Chris bring a 4-5 star restaurant should have cooked it perfect! I hate waiting for a second burger while the others are eating; then I will find myself trying to catch up! Not good! 😡
We celebrated our adult son's birthday here last week and had a wonderful meal and time together. We have eaten here from time to time, usually to celebrate a special occasion, as it is too pricey for everyday. If you want a place to "celebrate"this is a good choice. Our evening was made even more enjoyably by the winning personalty of our waiter, Jordan. He was not stuffy, as waiters can sometimes be at high end restaurants, but had just the right touch!
We had signature steaks and they were very tasty. Potatoes are big enough to share on the side, as well as salads. Our son was treated to an apple strudel and ice cream type dessert which was very nice.
Visited on a recent evening for our anniversary and I was very disappointed. Primarily, while my steak (rib eye) was cooked perfect (medium rare), it lacked any kind of real flavor. It's served on a sizzling plate, and while it may be their "thing," it doesn't add anything to the steak. The two sides we ordered (mashed & spinach) were good, not exceptional. The two highlights from the meal were my wife's cocktail (ruby-red greyhound) and her dessert (bread pudding). She ordered the petite filet with a lobster tail, and they were very good. I don't have an inclination to return, but if I did I would order a different cut of beef. The servers and wait staff were all very good as well.
We celebrated my mother-in-laws 79th birthday...Aaron, our waiter, was fabulous, caring, and on top of our order needs. Thank you my mother-in-law truly enjoyed her whole meal. My son has a severe peanut allergy and we always feel like the restaurant has our back in keeping our son safe.
The overall experience was a four. I requested an early dinner figuring less people dinning would allow for spreading out of the diners. There was a large dining room which had several booths and tables spaced out. There were about 30 to35 tables with one couple and us. The other couple was settled in a booth and they seated us the next table from them. This made it hard to have a conversation without hearing the other couples conversation. It would have been nicer to be sat two or three tables away.
As people arrived they were sat several tables away and spread out more evenly around the dinning area. There were three other servers there at the time.
By the time we left ther we're plenty of tables available and only about ten tables occupied.
The service and food were excellent.
