Food was OK. Nothing special. Steak served before I had finished salad. Didn't see staff again. Sat for an hour with dirty dishes pushed aside and empty wine glass in front of me (I was reviewing work docs but obviously, at the bar, finished with the meal). I had to signal a waiter to get another glass of wine and more water. Had to ask busboy to send the manager out to get my bill despite the fact that I had stood up, put my coat on, and tapped my card on the bar. I certainly would not recommend.
Food was amazing and we had a great time. The only thing we weren’t happy with is that the fries we ordered for our kids were spicy. We ordered the kids grilled cheese with fries. The fries were too spicy and the kids couldn’t eat them.
My wife and had never been to a Ruth’s Chris before and had a gift card to try it out. We had an early dinner, so the restaurant was not busy at all. Our server, Dimas, was very prompt with everything and a very friendly person overall. The steaks, while expensive, were some of the most tender meat I have ever experienced. Seasoned with only salt, pepper, and butter, they needed no garish steak sauce to improve the flavor at all. The acorn squash bisque was nothing short of enchanting, and the sides of garlic roasted broccolini and wild mushroom couscous both left us wanting more, but alas, we still had dessert to come. The apple crumb cheesecake with vanilla ice cream was the perfect end to a perfect meal. While we can’t afford this for a regular meal, we will happily find a Ruth’s again for a special occasion.
Pedestrian - food was greasy. Service was initially attentive but after our order - our waiter was absent. He did not ask about coffee with dessert and we had to pour our own wine. Sub-par for a supposedly 5 star restaurant. Your sister restaurant in Seattle was amazing - in both food and service.
Superb staff from the very start. William was delightful and helpful with information about the restaurant and even the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio, as well. Mary was professional and personable throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, and the portions were just right. Thank you for a memorable occasion.
The food was very good. The service was however not. The waitress and support staff provided much less than the level of service I have experienced at Ruth's Chris restaurants in other states.
Excellent bone in filet and masterful sides - roasted Brussel sprouts and asparagus . The steak was a little pricey for its size but was still amazing.
We pre gamed the Alamo bowl here at Ruth Chris and had a wonderful experience food and service were excellent.
My son's NY strip was too tough to enjoy despite being cooked medium rare. He barely ate any. The creme brulee was awful no vanilla bean and this terrible thick granulated crust. I ordered a Belvedere martini extra dirty With extra olives twice and both times it came back without any olive juice and only 2 olives. I was excited to take my son for the first time who loves steak and the two main things I wanted him to try the steak and Créme brulee were terrible. Well my steak was good but I got a filet. Very disappointing. I've been to many other locations and never had an experience like this.
Glasses were breaking all around us. Noise level awful. Waiter got several orders wrong. Did not make eye contact with guests. Did not acknowledge that she understood the order. Terrible Xmas dinner with family. So disappointed.
