Service was not what should be expected for a high end restaurant. Waiter did not come around when drink was empty. T-bone steak was ordered medium well came back medium rare. Waiter too it back then it came back well done. Fillet tasted like paper, had no flavor at all. Decided never to go back again. There are way too many better steak restaurants in town.
One of the best steaks I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly and the butter on the plate added a great flavor. The asparagus with hollandaise sauce was great and the Brussel sprouts were delectable!
We wanted to start the year right with a nice family meal, and this was the best choice. Our server was great, extremely nice, and the food superb.
general are everting good, but the lamb very salty
Amazing food, service and ambiance. The steak and lobster were amazing.
It was my anniversary and told them but didn’t do anything special
A wonderful treat on Christmas Day. Beautiful food, lovely outdoor dining, attentive service. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!
We ate lunch on Christmas Day and there were 5 of us. The service was terrible!!!
The hostesses were friendly and did a great job. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. It was not busy and there were an adequate number of wait staff. We received our water, but the waiter took a while to come to our table. He apologized but seemed frazzled. I had to ask twice for a glass of wine. The food was just ok-steaks were good and prepared properly. The sides were fine-nothing great. The soup was lukewarm. We had to ask for water to be refilled. The wait staff reached across us and the table when unnecessary instead of serving/clearing from lift and right side; and hovered over my husband while he paid the tab. The service was not equal to the price point of the restaurant. It seems they need more training. Also, in general the restaurant is a little musty and needs updating. We definitely won’t be back. I feel to spend over $200 for lunch the experience should be better.
Food was good but not great... Service was excellent and very friendly and accommodating. That stated the food wasn’t bad enough to complain about so they didn’t really get a fair chance to try and correct anything. If you’re wondering the salt content was a little high for our liking. The price was about what I had expected so I could in theory bring that up a Star.
I have been to Ruth Chris quite a few times and always pleased. This time not so much. Overall service was not as good.
The food was delicious, our server was amazing and it was a very pleasant experience.
Breakfast - only buffet was available, no a la carte items. Selection was poor and pretty much empty at all times. They did not even have bread available. Terrible experience
Service was poor. Raylee was our server and he was basically absent the whole time. We understand when it’s busy that we wouldn’t get much face time but as it died down he focused more on a bigger table and we basically felt abandoned. We spent 2 hours here. It took 30+ min to even get an order in which he had to come back and retake. Another 30 minutes waiting for anything to come to the table. An hour in we finally got a salad no thanks to our server. A man named JayR came to the rescue. He was immediately attentive despite being busy resetting tables. He asked how we were. Took new drink orders. Brought us bread in under a min after we talked to him. Refilled our water. He took care of us in a span of a few min that any service we received the entire night. The waiter only became attentive when it became about the bill which would of course include a tip. I’m not about that. It was the worst service I’ve ever received. If anything JayR deserves recognition for his outstanding service, his charisma and the fact that he showed he cared about us despite us not being his table.
I made reservations on line and called the restaurant to make sure the reservation was confirmed. I reserved a window table for 5 guest. We were celebrating my 59th birthday. We got there at the 7:45pm reservation time. The table was not ready and they gave away our window seat. They directed us to the bar and the bartender was not friendly and took his good ole time getting us drinks an d beverages. We waited at the bar for 30 minutes and my wife had to go talk to the hostess to remind her that we were sitting at the bar. We finally sat down and the waiter came over and took our order. The food took a long time and they ran out of several items. My son and my wife’s meat were way over cooked. We had to wait another 30 minutes for their food. The dinner disaster took about 3 hours in duration. The manager never apologized or said anything to help our dining experience. It did not look busy and this was on December 1, 2019.
We have been to many really great steakhouses including Ruth’s Chris all over the world. This one is RAN VERY POORLY, and they don’t deserve the customer’s money for the terrible experience we went through. They need an overhaul in management and staff.
Anniversary dinner. Friendly staff but food and drinks were not up to their standards. The salads had too much dressing- should have been served on the side. Au gratin potatoes slightly undercooked, fillet a little over cooked. Not a great experience for the price.
Road trip to Texas for thanksgiving with Ruth’s Chris as our thanksgiving dinner. Perfect steak. Best we’ve ever had.
2 1/2 hrs to eat a lunch was just way too long.
I would pick another location in San Antonio next time.
Great happy hour menu.. burger is huge and staff is always on point
We were celebrating our anniversary and thought this would be a good place to do so. Boy were we wrong! The restaurant I located inside a Hyatt Hotel in the basement! You walk past the bar to the dining area. Our waiter was a young inexperienced waiter. We had to ask for napkins as we had none. The bread came after our meal was halfway done. To top it off, the waiter knocked my water glass and got my shoe wet while breaking the wine glass. We wont be coming back!
My husband and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here. The food was seriously so flavorful with every course. The osso bucco ravioli appetizer was amazing. Our salads were crunchy and tasty. My husband had an Ahi Tuna Steak with stuffed lobster tail and enjoyed it with the sauces provided and I got a bone in filet mignon was filled with flavor. Our deserts were fantastic as well.
I was however surprised by the ambience. It didn't feel like a swanky steak house for the dollars the meal cost. It was noisy, no booths and a light above was literally blinding me every time I had to look up from the table.
Our service was very good, although a little slow with the water fill. I would go back here on a less romantic event and grab a delicious meal again. I just wouldn't go for a romantic dinner. There are too many other high end steak houses here with better ambience for that experience.
Shaun was our server and after taking our order did not see him for awhile after we were done eating. Our plates sat emptying and did not clear them off. The guy who packages our food was awesome. Sorry did not catch his name.
Our server Jason was great! His birthday is coming up we learned since it was my friend's birthday! I hope Ruth's rewards him on his birthday for a job well done! Great service, the lunch prix fixe menu was delicious! We will be back for sure!!!
This was a special occasion. My 25th anniversary dinner & we were able to celebrate a nephew's college graduation. We had a great time.
Michael was a great server and was able to keep up with the seat changes and immediately serve a guest who arrived much later than the rest of the group. The food, especially the market fish entree with the citrus butter, was delicious. And we loved the private room and how quiet that was.
Lobster bisque had no flavor and the filete was a little dry
Our steak arrived before we were halfway thru our salad. They said they’d remake but I suspect it was “kept warm” while we finished our salads. Arrived at the table and certainly was NOT medium rare.
The waiter, Luis, was amazing. He went above and beyond for my 7 year aniversery.
For the price short service people and helpers
This restaurant made our anniversary perfect!
Crabcake sandwiches with fries were excellent and a great value. Ability to sit outside was a plus. Service was attentive.
Service was a little too pushy, "Can i get you gentlemen anything else before you leave shortly?" !! Not how I would expect to close out a $225+ dinner for two. Just didn't have that authentic Ruth's Chris feel that I've experienced in several other locations.
Meat was cooked perfectly but was a little too salty. The mashed potatoes were very smooth but had a strange taste to them and not enough flavor.
Raquel was a great server and fun and friendly!
Well.. this is not up to Ruth’s Chris standards. We had a large group of 11. Problem number one, the table was cramped. There was plenty of room in the restaurant yet they chose to sit us next to the kitchen. Table for 8 made into a table for 11. Again, there were plenty of open tables. They could have easily made us more comfortable. Problem number two, the waiter was trying his best to up charge everything. One of our guests wanted a regular gin and tonic, “Bombay is fine she said”. He said he was bringing Hendrix Gin. Next he offered 2 seafood towers. We said no we don’t want that we’d like the Calamari please. He promptly offered to ADD it to the seafood tower, “yes we can add calamari to the seafood tower”, and wrote it down. Again we said no please, just the calamari. When he brought the wine, 4 people were having wine, he filled my glass up like a Diet Coke, to the rim. I stopped him and asked that he fill the glasses at the appropriate level for wine. He said he will bring another bottle. That’s a NO, we only need one. One bottle should be fine for 4 of us. We don’t drink that much. The food. Several people ordered steaks medium rare, all steaks were well done. Is this Longhorn Steakhouse? They’d probably do a better job. 3 people ordered baked potatoes, all were so under cooked that they could not be eaten. We asked for mashed potatoes to substitute. They never came. Now I understand why there was so much room in the restaurant. If you’re with a large group watch the waiters, they’ll upcharge on anything they can. They have a long way to go to be up to Ruth’s Chris standard. We won’t return.
Not your typical Ruth Chris, ambiance is just like a hotel restaurant. Service and management very unresponsive. All of our steaks were over cooked. 1 sent back and it came back cooked worse. No one seemed to care, including manager. Never again will I come at to this location. Concord only! which had amazing service and ambiance.
Service was terrible. Couldn’t find someone to help us at all. Had a filet full of fat. Lobster Mac runny. Asked for water took 20’minutes. Bread came out with the main meal not at the beginning. Just not a good experiences at all
Quite loud and difficult to discuss in casual voice level.
