Ruth's Chris Steak House - Richmond Ratings and Reviews
I have been to several Ruth Chris but not the one in Richmond. I live in Nashville and traveled to Virginia. My friend Lynne who lives in Richmond was having birthday and has never been to a Ruth Chris, so I decided that's where I would take her. The whole experience from our greeting to the end of our meal was very special. Lynne really enjoyed the experience and I look for her to return and bring others there now.
Thank you again for making our night so wonderful!!
Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere to dine in, and absolutely incredible food! The filet mignon was prepared perfectly and a great time was had by all! Service is top notch from the moment you step foot into the restaurant until you leave. Wonderful experience!
We were seated right away, and continually professionally and well served by the staff. Our group ordered a wide variety of steak and fish offerings; everyone seemed nicely pleased and were quite lavish in praise. It was a top-notch special occasion with friends.
When my parents told me they were coming I immediately thought of Ruth's Chris. Every thing was perfect and they enjoyed every bite. We will eat there every time they come to visit. And a side note my father played music for Ms. Ruth when she was in New Orleans, so it was all the more special for him.
Ruth Chris is a great restaurant for a fantastic steak dinner. Melt in your mouth delish. We were disappointed to find that the dress of other dinners was very, very casual (sweat suits and shirts). This took away from a special evening and dining experience that we dressed up for.
Nick, the manager, and his staff were absolutely impeccable with their service, attention and ensuring that our family matriarch (93 years young) was treated like royalty, as her grandchildren celebrated a Christmas meal with her. As was the service, the food was first class and every bit as good as the first time I went to Ruth's Chris in 1976 in New Orleans!
There were two of us. Guest had Shrimp Cocktail, 16oz Ribeye, Caesar Salad, Au Gratin Potatoes, Creamed Spinach, and Asparagus. I had the Crabmeat Stuffed Mushrooms, 16oz Ribeye, and shared the side dishes. We both got the Chocolate Duo and coffee. He had diet Coke, I had San Pellegrino. Bill was $216. Actual value presented of meal $75. Shrimp cocktail portion was small, there was no discernable crabmeat in the mushrooms - just filler, neither steak was done to specifications, his slightly underdone, mine slightly more done - putting steaks on super hot plate never allows the juices to settle so steak is dry, the only cheese in the au gratin potatoes was on top - uniquely unflavorful, creamed spinach was bland and soupy. Desserts were OK. A whole lot of mediocre food for a massive price. Also, what's with all male waiters- wake up, it's 2017.
Lovely annual lunch for our friends' Christmas get together! For several years we have been celebrating Christmas together at Ruth Chris!! Unfortunately, this year we were minus two, who were sick, but our expectations of the restaurant, as usual exceeded our expectations!!!From the time we entered the restaurant, we were treated as old friends, experienced terrific service, and presented with fantastic food!!!! Count on us returning next year as a group, and before that individually!!!!
From start to finish our experience was magnificent!! We were celebrating my birthday and requested a cozy romantic table. Well they sure did deliver!! We were seated in the Anniversary Room, very private and extremely romantic! Jordyn was a our server. She was very knowledgeable and had many helpful recommendations to make our evening that much more special. The food was absolutely delicious, from the seafood tower appetizer to the cowboy rib-eye. Even the sides were out of this world!! We enjoyed a personal history lesson of the restaurant by the manager, who was also very gracious and accommodating. We both agree this was our best dining experience ever!! And, we dine out quite frequently here in Richmond and throughout our travels. We have been raving ever since!!! Thanks Ruth's Kris for a magical evening!!!
Tim was our waiter and he did a fantastic job. Steaks were good, fries were soggy and awful. Salad was not as described on the menu. But all in all we had a good time.
Been going here for years - off and on. Many items no longer on the menu - that makes it hard to return very often. What a shame.
