The definition of fine dining! Celebrated Valentines dinner with my wife tonight. My wife and I had the Filet and Lobster Tail. It was out of this world. Local oysters for our appetizer were heavenly. The service was top notch, Tim and his assistant, Josh were fantastic! I highly recommend Tim as a server. It was a perfect date night.
Always a hit! You will spend a bit but this is the place to do it. Incredible ambiance setting in an old plantation house with lots of history. This is a great place to enjoy a special evening. I don't write reviews much, this place it a total charm.
Service was very attentive at first once he got more guest he didn’t check on us. And we had to wait until he came over. Never checked on us how our food was, had to wait for dessert, and our check.
We go here for special occasions and sometimes not, and until last night, have always been very pleased with everything. The waitperson seemed to have a little bit of an attitude. When we asked for bread, he said he preferred to bring it when menus were removed. My husband had given me his water glass as I drink a lot of water and the waiter wanted to take it away. We bought the set menu, and when it came to the dessert, it seemed to take a while and when asked about it, he said he hoped it was on the way. It took 15 minutes -for ice cream? he brought the check with an up charge saying it was the full dessert, which we had not requested.
This is experience was disappointing. However, when speaking to another staff member, he wasn’t surprised when I told him the waiters name.
My wife and wanted a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. We got that and more. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Kathy took our order and was very helpful. She made sure our dinner was memorable.
Excellent food and service. All employees are polite and attentive. A real good experience from beginning to end.
Elegant and relaxed dinner experience. It was a nice Valentine's Day splurge.
Awesome as usually. Steaks are great. Pricey for a casual meal but great for a special occasion.
Loved the service.
As usual, a pleasant evening. We regularly dine there on special occasions.
We are new to the area and have been disappointed by the service at most restaurants, but this place was amazing. Will definitely be going again.
The service was exceptional.
The food excellent.
A nice quiet atmosphere.
A great place to dine for a special occasion.
Love the specials this month - the steak and shrimp with salad or soup and dessert with a side was very good!
Rude front desk, mediocre over priced food. Should have gone to Flemings.
I have dined at Ruth Chris’ restaurants in four different states and numerous times and never have been disappointed until last night at the Midlothian, VA restaurant. The service was per usual, great. However the food was not up to the standards of any of the other Ruth Chris’ restaurants I have had the pleasure to visit. Seafood was dry and tasteless, meat toppings were dry and tasteless and shoestring Potatoes could not be found. Not sure I would go back to this restaurant. I can spend a bit less than $600.00 for four and enjoy it much better.
Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was very good. A very enjoyable evening.
Ruth's Chris is perfect for a special occasion. Food is always outstanding!
Although we typically go to Flemings for family birthdays, I tried Ruth's Chris this time and was disappointed. The food was typical Ruth's Chris high quality but no attention was given to my husband's milestone birthday. I mentioned his birthday in the reservation, to the hostess and to the server. When the desserts arrived, my mother's plate had Happy Birthday written on it with a candle. We promptly corrected the server and he placed the plate in front of my husband but explained he would need to pass it back to my mother after blowing out the candle. Flemings gives a free dessert, truffles as a gift and a photo of the group. We will not return to Ruth's Chris for birthday celebrations.
Excellent all around!
Our server Mark was excellent!
We’ll be back.
