Ruth's Chris Steak House - Princeton Ratings and Reviews
Save your money and go somewhere else—-totally overpriced.
I’ve been to this Ruth Chris on many occasions and this was the most disappointing visit—by far. The food was so so, the restroom was dirty, and our booth had holes in each of the bench seats. Our server was attentive and nice. Overall, not worth the price.
The table service was up to standards of not many restaurants. ALL the dishes were cleared before coffee and dessert, usually bread, butter etc. gets left behind. I never felt that the waitress disappeared. Also the wait staff were not teens but seasoned veterans. For a large area the noise level was low and conversations from close tables did not intrude.
The food was delicious and the price was high as expected at a Ruths Chris. But the service really set the meal apart. We had two servers (Mauricio and Sarah) and they were both fantastic. They were fun, personable and helped us select dishes. We enjoyed the meal.
As always Ruth's Chris did not did not disappoint. The steaks were excellent, cooked to perfection, and side dishes of potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach were equally good. The blue cheese crumble and new horseradish toppings for the steaks are worth the try and do not take away from the great taste of the meat. Service was a little slow on this occasion, but we were not in a rush.
Meal and service was excellent as usual.. we enjoyed the Ribeye and Veal Osso Bucco ravioli appetizer.. topped evening of with chocolate lava cake and sazerac... last meal before heading to Puerto Rico for hurricane Maria relief effort.. can't think of a better place for a meal ....
I love lobster. At Ruth's I can get a 2 1/2-3 lb lobster and they are delicious! Also expensive, so we usually only go to the restaurant about 1-2 times a year. Always for a special occasion. This was my birthday. My lobster was good, not excellent. Not as tender as I am used to. My poor husband needs to stop ordering lamb chops. Every time he does, they arrive raw. Every time he sends them back. He promises to stick to steak. My son and his girlfriend had steak and scallops respectively and loved their meals. On the plus side, they very nicely brought an apple turnover with a candle on it for my birthday!
Ruth's is always a great place to celebrate a special occasion. the steaks are amazing. We had the Ruth's Classic all inclusive dinner which is a great value. It includes your salad, main course, side dish and dessert. Significantly less expensive than al a carte. My only concern was that the waiter was less than attentive and the restaurant was almost empty.
