Ruth's Chris Steak House - Princeton Ratings and Reviews
enjoyed the dinner although there were a few hiccups . the service was terrible. our waited disappeared for long periods of time , played remained in table and no one cleared then for at least 20 mins . we had to ask 2 other servers for the check .
they offered a 3 course meal which was a good price , the caesar salad was delicious , the filet was over cooked , i ordered med rare - for a steakhouse they need to get their temperatures accurate . they forgot to bring a loaded baked potato - instead of taking it back they brought the toppings to the table .
it’s a beautiful restaurant , but they need to step up there game .
My meal was fine. Dissapointed with my wifes. Her crab cakes were sub standard and lobster mac & cheese was barely warm. Others got a valentines rose-not my wife! Weve always enjoyed the food and service- not this time. Our waiter Eddie was less than attentive.
I ve been there so many times with my wife or with my family over the years. This time I was dissapointed. We felt very rushed . We got the appetizers before the drinks !!! . I had to ask for the drink s twice . One of them was a Diet Coke !! This never happens in a small pizza place around the corner !! The appetizers came in less than 5 minutes even before we started talking...
They were rushing to take my wife’s appetizer dish away ...
ON THE OTHER HAND we asked for a cheese cake and capputino .. the cake came after I was far done with the capputino which was way below average...
I DONT EXPECT TO GO TO CELEBRATE AN EARLY VALENTINE DAY WITH MY WIFE ,PAY ALMOST 300$AND GET THIS KIND SERVICE ..
I ONLY EXPECT EXCELLENCE FROM THEM .
THATS WHY I GO THERE
YOU CAN GIVE MY NAME . I AM NOT HAPPY
IAM NOT GOING THERE ULNESS I HEAR FROM THEM. ALL MY IN-LAWS ,GO TO RUTH CHRIS TOO.

Our reservation was for 6:15 - but we arrived a little early (just about 6:00). Even though our table was clear and set, the hostess made us wait until our reservation time. Others came in with the same reservation time and were seated well before us.
Princeton Ruth's just doesn't seem to have that "pizzazz" it used to have, especially for the price point.
All employees are extremely nice, including our server; however, it was not that busy and many things were forgotten. First, starting with water, I had asked for lemons and didn’t get them until I asked a second time 20 minutes later-this was the same for getting my mom’s sweetener for her iced tea. Second, while delicious, calamari was very chewy. Third, my iceberg wedge was brown-and they did credit us for it, but just disappointing for a place like Ruth’s Chris. Finally, I was out of water for more than ten minutes before I had to flag someone down for more.
On a high note, the steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were all delicious.
Overall, we had an enjoyable time.
I truly enjoyed the food as always. Our waitress was great, her assistant not so much because he barely came around and the waitress cleared most of the empties herself.
The food came quickly and was excellent.
However, the bartender took awhile to get drink order and as soon as it finally came, we had to leave to get our table. Perhaps he was clearing up from the dinner shift inasmuch as our dinner was later at 8:45.
Our order was basic standard steakhouse order. Out steaks were not the right temp. Quality of meat was poor. Augratin potatoes were under cooked. Mushrooms were good. I eat out weekly around the country at steakhouses and also other Ruth’s Chris. This experience had my client an I wishing we went to Outback instead
Best Steak House in the area. This restaurant has a perfect combination of good food, good service and a comfortable experience. Nothing is ever bad, although sometimes service cold be a little better. I like the Capital Grill better, but this is a lot closer. Prices could be better, but it is OK for a special ocasion
Our food was delicious and our server was friendly, but it took an hour from when we first sat down to when we received our entrees. Granted it was a Saturday night but we had a 6:30 reservation; we were seated approx 6:45p and dinner came out just before 8p.
I am sure we will go back but I wouldn't eat that "early" again.
Dinner at Ruth’s Chris is always a fantastic experience. The food is cooked to perfection and the drinks are delicious. Our waitress Samantha went above and beyond to make our first night out post (second) baby absolutely perfect - she was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. I always look forward to my meals here, and will be back in the (hopefully) near future.
We always stop for dinner at Ruth’s after the theater and are never disappointed! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service is top notch. Food is always prepared as ordered. One of my favorite dishes is the potatoes at gratin. We stopped here recently with friends that have never been to a Ruth Chris’ before and they were very satisfied with the choice of restaurant and extremely impressed with he food and service.
The worst service of any Ruth’s Chris I have ever visited. We find a Ruth’s Chris in every city we travel. We brought our daughters who were visiting Princeton, for a nice dinner. We spent 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant for a simple dinner. Steaks were over cooked and sent back. Side dishes were cold. Staff disappeared and would not refill beverages or clear dishes. I would not return.
Relaxed pace, bread & butter was delicious, salad selection extensive and tasty, filet was done perfectly(med-rare) but surprisingly not juicy, my wife had the lamb chops which were superb. Then the desserts were over the top.
I will go for the rib eye next time, I guess the filet’s are too lean.
What we love about Ruth Chris is everything else. We know we are going to get a great steak but our appetizer, (veal ossin bocci ravioli) and our vegetable, ( roasted brussel sprouts) were fantastic. Add a great bottle of wine and a personable waiter and it all adds up to a prefect anniversary dinner
