Since 1987 Ruth's Chris Steak House in Pittsburgh has been serving diners the finest USDA prime Beef. The steaks are broiled at 1800 degrees and served on a 500 degree plate so the steaks stay hot and juicy from beginning to end. Our New Orleans inspired appetizers, fresh seafood, signature side dishes, and incredible homemade desserts give you dining options like no other.
Located in PPG Place, the crown jewel of the Pittsburgh skyline, you will find Ruth's Chris Steak House within walking distance of all the downtown businesses, Market Square, and the Cultural District.

Let me start by saying. The manager never said a word to us other than , do you want me to take your dirty plates!? No Hello, how are u, and most importantly did not ask, how was your meal?. One of the worst filet's I ever had, it was especially heart breaking when the rest of my family told me their filet's were very tough and way overcooked. The 500 degree plate is nice if the meat comes out like you ordered it. But the meat was already over cooked before it ever reached the dinner plate!!!!!!! Very poor experience!!!!!! Will not be going back to Ruth Chris!!!!! Everything else was ok. Not worth anywhere near the price. Had a better steak at Longhorn. Maybe they chef had an off night, overcooking my entire family's filet's is an off night I would say!!!!.... That's pretty sad. :(

My wife and I went for restaurant week , 35.18 for a 6 oz filet , mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, Cesar salad , and a small apple cheesecake for dessert! We of course ordered the ahi tuna appetizer, so good , very filling ! The waitress was friendly but they have to many other people bringing food , which led to a delay in eating the filet which took away from the experience! When a customer asks they should not have to hunt done another staff member bc the other one forgot! Especially at regular prices not everyone can afford!

Normally one of our families favorite restaurants. We save up and go over the holidays. This time things were not up to par. They remodeled. Out table was nearest to the door. While it was only 8 degrees out, it was also 8 degrees at our table. Our feet didn’t thaw until we got home. We are also picky about our expensive steaks coming as ordered. Three of the five steaks we over cooked. I know they put them on 500 degree plates and they continue to cook on the way to the table- so plan for that. I want my steak medium rare when it get to me not when the chef puts it on the plate because it’s medium well by the time I take my first bite. When paying $60 for a steak it needs to be perfect. I know we are to blame if we aren’t willing to send them back(all 3). But at a place like this they should get it right 4/5 times not 2/5. Nor did the staff ask if they were cooked correctly until we were well into our meal. An attentive server should be able to look at our steak after we cut into it and know it isn’t right- they know how we ordered them. A high class joint like this needs to do far better than they did on this occasion.
