I’m rarely disappointed when I dine at Ruth Chris. Ruth Chris continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. Kudos to the chef and wait staff. 5 star dining.
We had Jonathan as a waiter and he was amazing
Food was delicious! The wait staff was great!
Was date night with the wife, and we had a very enjoyable time. Food came out fast, and went down even faster :)
Dinner was great, strong service. Great wine
Known for their steaks and the a la cart pricing for the sides. Bar is on site with a separate menu for wines. The steaks are about $40 + and has seafood too. Bananas Foster is done table side for at least 2 eating this dessert. This is not a restaurant that I dine at frequently, but the experience here fell well below what my expectations.
Always a good tim at Ruth’s Chris. This particular location has excellent service, from the hostess to the servers to the bus staff.
Lobster Mac Cheese is the best I’ve ever had. My daughter had the pork chop and ate every bite. It was tender and flavorful
Excellent steaks. Great service. Best steak in Baltimore.
My family and I enjoyed everything about our meal, it was worth the visit!
Easter dinner with the family. Food was delicious. Great wine list. Relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was too verbose and she felt the need to tell us every item we ordered was her "favorite" which was little irritating. She also wasn't as attentive as she should have been. But overall we had a wonderful dinner and will continue to dine there.
Good food as expected. Server seemed really new to this level of dining and was not quite as professional as might have been expected—could have benefited from more training.
Ask for Tiara!! She was an absolute gem and she made dinner so fun!
Disappointed, the server was too busy to give full attention. Birthday celebration with friends .
Both couples wanted bananas foster we were told it would be a 35 minute wait??
In addition a $50 steak being served on a lunch plate with sides served on the side was not acceptable no room for the sides and value of steak not worthy . I ordered a bottle of wine she removed all but one glass from the table seemed odd and was just rude
Ruth's Chris Baltimore has lost that special touch that it was known for in previous years. It's not the place you turn to to celebrate a special occasion and unfortunately a sign of the times post the 2008 recession. Pre-fixed meals while good have attracted an unsophisticated diners and along with a sloppy dress code and mediocore servers with limited fine dining experience, RC is no longer special. Gone are the days with extensive wine lists, sommeliers who made new recommendations and food that was always exceptional. #sad
Well, we made a reservation around noon that day for 6:30 and there was some snow. A few places nearby closed but overall it wasn’t bad on the roads or sidewalks.
We arrived at 6:15 and there was a piece of paper on the door that they were closed. I have eaten here numerous times in the past and it was the first disappointing experience, but I found it very annoying and disappointing that the restaurant did not notify us and were still taking reservations when they were closed. We walked next door and ate. I understand safety and appreciate taking care of employees, but it’s not overly difficult to notify those with reservations and to discontinue accepting them if you are closed...
Great place, nice people (valet, host, waiters/waitresses, and management), sweet presentation, and tasty food sets the stage a superb dining experience. Yes, a little pricey - but, I am also a firm believer in you get what you pay for and at Ruth's Chris I haven't been disappointed. Maybe I'm lucky, but I sorta doubt it.
We enjoyed our dinner however our server was not incredible. She did not return the table to allow us to order an additional bottle of wine and by the time she offered additional drinks from the bar we were nearly finished with the meal.
It was a nice evening, food was very good.
Well, I made a 11pm reservation, and when I arrived at 10:50, they were closed. SO it was a poor experience.
The hostess staff was very friendly as we entered the restaurant. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen which was very noisy that evening. Pots and pans were banging and there was obviously an accident that occurred as dishes fell to the floor and shattered. We had to lean in toward each other to hold a conversation. Our waitress was competent but seemed a bit rushed. We had not finished our appetizers when our entrees arrived. Disappointing. The evening was anything but quiet and leisurely. We were finished in just over an hour. With a bill of about $240, we expected a much better experience. Sorry.
One of our favorite places to get a great steak, great service and a warming ambiance! Tammy was our server, she was friendly and took great care of us. After dinner we headed to the bar for a night cap and our bartender James was on top of his game! He gave us great suggestions and made the rest of our night with his great personality! Obviously the food was ridiculously amazing but it’s the service that usually makes or breaks an experience!! Looking forward to our next trip back to Baltimore so we can dine there again!
My wife and I eat at this restaurant nearly every week. This is the first time we’ve had a bad experience. It just so happened to be my birthday. I always get the Ruth classic, steak and shrimp, and add Chesapeake, mashed potatoes, cream spinach, and lobster Mac and cheese. Normally the plate is so hot they warn you not to touch it. This time I was able to pick it up with my bare hands. All my food was cold. After sending it back, my wife’s food was still cold. The manager comp’d my wife’s meal. All is well.
Got soup spilled on me by a waiter. Was seated next to the kitchen which was loud. Food was great though.
The service we received and the food that was prepared was outstanding!
Great service and a great steak!
My husband and I first time and it was great...our waiter was exceptional. The only damper is one employee came over to our table while we were looking at the menu and loudly said to our waiter "Is a Big Mac on the menu..." It was insulting because it seemed like he was insinuating we couldn't afford to be there. I smiled out of disbelief but was really insulted.
I won't allow one person to taint my view on the overall restaurant but hopefully this location will keep a better eye on how their employees treat their guest.
We were in and out in an hour.
Would have hoped they gave us more time to enjoy our dinner.
Our server Nicole was absolutely amazing, she made the night. And of course the food is the best!
Waitress was very attentive and food was fabulous!
Great service but steaks were a little disappointing and the ‘surf’ on my surf and turf was over seasoned to the point I could not taste the flavor of the lobster. A lot of money for good, not outstanding quality food.
Valentines Day was good.
Great meal great service had a fire in the parking lot oh yes. Celebrated our 35th and were treated so great. Thank you.
The food was excellent, and so was the service.
The new property is set up to accommodate more people than the previous location, but it has lost the ambiance that I love about Ruth’s Chris. It felt more like a hotel banquet facility than a fine dining restaurant. While the food was still Ruth’s Chris quality, the service and atmosphere had much to be desired.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAN
As always the food was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I took my wife for Valentines Day and I expected it to be busy. It was last year also. We got there early and were seated right away. My only complaint was that we were seated at a small round folding table that did not have adequate space. The wait staff had to continually juggle plates and glasses as we worked through appetizers main course and dessert. There were larger 2 person tables available the entire time we were there, one right next to us. Our meal and tip cast over $300.00 so a nice table would have been nice. Kudos to the wait staff for trying to keep the table organized
As always, great service and food. Love the side options.
Started out with a dozen raw oysters and a couple drinks at the bar. The wasabi sauce served with the oysters was awesome! For dinner in the dining room, I had my first bone in fillet mignon which was excellent, but a bit more done than I expected for medium. Also added the lobster tail surf and turf special. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his medium T-Bone, and the au gratin potato and roasted Brussels sides to share were very good. All was enjoyed with an over-priced bottle of wine, and finished off with a shared piece of the best banana cream pie I’ve ever had, with a capaccino and glass of 20 year Port. Our bill, after the $125 gift card was still $250, before the tip. It was an early Valentine’s Day dinner with a gift card, and very good, but extremely expensive! Just a very special occasion kinda place for us.
