Well, I made a 11pm reservation, and when I arrived at 10:50, they were closed. SO it was a poor experience.
The hostess staff was very friendly as we entered the restaurant. We were seated at a booth near the kitchen which was very noisy that evening. Pots and pans were banging and there was obviously an accident that occurred as dishes fell to the floor and shattered. We had to lean in toward each other to hold a conversation. Our waitress was competent but seemed a bit rushed. We had not finished our appetizers when our entrees arrived. Disappointing. The evening was anything but quiet and leisurely. We were finished in just over an hour. With a bill of about $240, we expected a much better experience. Sorry.
One of our favorite places to get a great steak, great service and a warming ambiance! Tammy was our server, she was friendly and took great care of us. After dinner we headed to the bar for a night cap and our bartender James was on top of his game! He gave us great suggestions and made the rest of our night with his great personality! Obviously the food was ridiculously amazing but it’s the service that usually makes or breaks an experience!! Looking forward to our next trip back to Baltimore so we can dine there again!
My wife and I eat at this restaurant nearly every week. This is the first time we’ve had a bad experience. It just so happened to be my birthday. I always get the Ruth classic, steak and shrimp, and add Chesapeake, mashed potatoes, cream spinach, and lobster Mac and cheese. Normally the plate is so hot they warn you not to touch it. This time I was able to pick it up with my bare hands. All my food was cold. After sending it back, my wife’s food was still cold. The manager comp’d my wife’s meal. All is well.
Got soup spilled on me by a waiter. Was seated next to the kitchen which was loud. Food was great though.
The service we received and the food that was prepared was outstanding!
Great service and a great steak!
My husband and I first time and it was great...our waiter was exceptional. The only damper is one employee came over to our table while we were looking at the menu and loudly said to our waiter "Is a Big Mac on the menu..." It was insulting because it seemed like he was insinuating we couldn't afford to be there. I smiled out of disbelief but was really insulted.
I won't allow one person to taint my view on the overall restaurant but hopefully this location will keep a better eye on how their employees treat their guest.
We were in and out in an hour.
Would have hoped they gave us more time to enjoy our dinner.
Our server Nicole was absolutely amazing, she made the night. And of course the food is the best!
Waitress was very attentive and food was fabulous!
Great service but steaks were a little disappointing and the ‘surf’ on my surf and turf was over seasoned to the point I could not taste the flavor of the lobster. A lot of money for good, not outstanding quality food.
Valentines Day was good.
Great meal great service had a fire in the parking lot oh yes. Celebrated our 35th and were treated so great. Thank you.
The food was excellent, and so was the service.
The new property is set up to accommodate more people than the previous location, but it has lost the ambiance that I love about Ruth’s Chris. It felt more like a hotel banquet facility than a fine dining restaurant. While the food was still Ruth’s Chris quality, the service and atmosphere had much to be desired.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAN
As always the food was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I took my wife for Valentines Day and I expected it to be busy. It was last year also. We got there early and were seated right away. My only complaint was that we were seated at a small round folding table that did not have adequate space. The wait staff had to continually juggle plates and glasses as we worked through appetizers main course and dessert. There were larger 2 person tables available the entire time we were there, one right next to us. Our meal and tip cast over $300.00 so a nice table would have been nice. Kudos to the wait staff for trying to keep the table organized
As always, great service and food. Love the side options.
Started out with a dozen raw oysters and a couple drinks at the bar. The wasabi sauce served with the oysters was awesome! For dinner in the dining room, I had my first bone in fillet mignon which was excellent, but a bit more done than I expected for medium. Also added the lobster tail surf and turf special. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his medium T-Bone, and the au gratin potato and roasted Brussels sides to share were very good. All was enjoyed with an over-priced bottle of wine, and finished off with a shared piece of the best banana cream pie I’ve ever had, with a capaccino and glass of 20 year Port. Our bill, after the $125 gift card was still $250, before the tip. It was an early Valentine’s Day dinner with a gift card, and very good, but extremely expensive! Just a very special occasion kinda place for us.
We had a wonderful dining experience celebrating our 9 year anniversary and early Valentine's day dinner. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Great as always!
We sat in room at front window. Three tables for 2 along the window. Seating was too tight. I am back if my chair touched back of chair of gentleman behind me. We are both slim in stature.
Service is was just weird. I know everyone is doing the best they can. But waitstaff serving is was not professional wait staff. For instance... we get calamaria. Ask for second sauce. It comes over five minutes later... in dish that is three times larger than first sauce.
My NY Strip... ordered medium. Was rare. Ok... it happens... but at a Ruth’s Chris?
Lastly... paid $200 for dinner including tip and no alcohol served. Not worth it. Very disappointing. Was expecting similar experience to Annapolis or Ocean City locations.
Louder than I expected and very dark.....people with vision problems may have trouble seeing in the restaurant
Not a bad experience, however the ambience was not what it used to be at Ruth Chris. I probably wouldn’t come back to this location due to the noisy environment. I’m not sure if this is the norm or maybe it was a something going on that night.
Outstanding service and food
This is one of my favorite restaurants and the first time I absolutely hated the food. I get the stuffed chicken all the time this, time it was not seasoned and when I told the waitress she took it back and brought the same chicken with a little bit of season on it. it was horrible I probably won't be back anytime soon and I've been there 3 times in the pass month.
Great experience...Best hostess I have ever experienced.
Valet was pleasant opening and closing our doors for us. We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly. I visited the pikesville location and just had a better experience as far as the food was concerned. My Chesapeake style entree complement was extra dry and my asparagus looked a little burnt. It was impeccable at the pikeville location. Sweet potato casserole was pretty good and my steak was cooked to my liking. Overall the experience was decent though I wish ALL of the food would’ve been just as good this time. Also very disappointed the apple crumb cheesecake isn’t offered on the dessert menu!!
Ruths Chris never disappoints. The ambiance, the knowledgeable staff and the cuisine are always worth the visit.
First time to Ruth Chris. Decided to try it during restaurant week. Not disappointed. Our party of 8 were seated in a private room which made the whole experience special. Food was great.
Enjoyed my night out with my wife, and it was restaurant week!! Food was delicious.
Ruth Chris will be my favorite restaurant for now on, the drinks were incredible, I had pomagrante margaritas, thumbs up to the bartender, and the food was delish, I had the salmon , creamed spinach , and mashed potatoes. My daughter had the steak and scalloped potatoes, which was also delish. My friend also had salmon. I will definitely dine there again and very soon.
Waitress T had a great personality. All staff was friendly. Food was great, even the added recommendation.
I love everything. I love my food. And I'm not really into trying new food. I like going to the same places all the time. I going to go back.
As always, the food was excellent. Steak was tender and cooked exactly the way I requested. Asparagus nicely grilled. Blue cheese dressing on salad was especially good. But star of meal was the Lemon Cake Martini for desert. It packed a wallop but was just delicious. The only complaint that I have is that we made it clear we were there for Restaurant Week menu and server tried repeatedly to have us upgrade to regular menu and larger, more expensive cuts of meal.
We had a great meal during restaurant week. Will go again.
Another excellent meal at RC. Service was outstanding.
Dinner was great, where I was seated was a bit noisy. I prefer to be seated in a booth away from a large group.
We took advantage of restaurant week. Islien( please forgive if I spelled named wrong) was Very friendly, professional & informative. She made sure we knew about the hot plates & took good care of us. Thanks for everything!!!!
