Ruth's Chris Steak House - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
Our server was very friendly. The food was rich and very salty. Not my favorite. But my husband seems to love it. The BBQ shrimp were disappointing in that i pictured it would be a grilled BBQ shrimp but instead was a creamy sauce and the shrimp had a weird texture. But there were lots of them. The chocolate dessert was amazing.
this was our first visit to this location. we are new to the area and we have patroned
ruths at the louisville ky. location which has a fantastic view. the view here was
disappointing. but overall the service was fantastic, the food was fantastic.
the only things that i was a little disappointed in was the apparent lack of a
dress code. we were having our anniversary dinner and we have always dressed
accordingly for a fine dining restaurant and to see people in blue jean shorts and
flip flops was a bit disappointing and we were seated next to a table with a small
child which for the most part was fairly good but did begin to get loud at which
time someone at the table took the child outside. i feel we will return but maybe
just dress down a little and ask to be seated away from small children.
The service was fantastic and the menu was well-described by the server. The ambiance was romantic, quiet, and allowed for a great date atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and a great, quiet atmosphere. The prices are a la carte but the portions are large.
It was selected when making the reservation it was an anniversary, our 18th, there was no acknowledgement at all.
The service was rushed, before apps were finished/ cleared dinner arrived. It's not the service I've come to know and expect when dinning at Ruths.
Just as an aside, the couple across from us appeared to be celebrating a special occasion and had rose petals scattered across the table. It's the small things that make lasting memories.
Service was great. Ribeye was cook perfectly and well favored. The BBQ Shrimp entree had too much sauce and it over powered the dish. I couldn't even get a change to have the mash potatoes with it as the sauce made them into a soup. Lobster mac and cheese was a good side. It was just missing some extra favor or maybe add a second cheese favor to it. Bartender needs a refresher course on how to make martinis. Ordered a dirty martini and it didn't even taste like one. Decided to get wine instead. Overall we still enjoyed the place and will return.
I would have given them 5 stars but had to send back my filet twice and they still did not get it right. I ordered it medium well & it came to me medium rare. Sent it back & came back medium.
The waiter acknowledged that it should have been a light pink center. Never did get it right.
My wife's filet came to her rare & she ordered it medium. Also they gave her a salad with cheese when she can't have diary. Other than that everything was fine. Our server was excellent.
First and last time at this establishment. While the food is very good, I was very surprised at the total disrespect towards my friend and his service dog. We called in advance to let the staff know about the service dog, and upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely hostess who was the nicest person of the night. We were seated close to the exit and away from other diners, which was to be expected. It was not a busy night. The server was uncertain about how to deal with having a service dog there, and it showed. My friend asked him for a bowl of water for his service dog, and the server went to ask the manager and finally returned letting him know he would not be able to give the dog water, per management. The whole time we were there was uncomfortable enough that we ended up getting our meals to go. Not once did the manager come over and to check on the situation.
Started with a tasty shrimp cocktail followed with a NY strip, medium rare, which came out perfect. A cone of shoestring fries which were delicious throughout the meal. Brussels sprouts as the nights veggie of our choice. Service was very good and the manager stopped by to see how we were doing.
To celebrate Mother's Day, we took the "moms" in our family to Ruth Chris for a special dining experience. Everything started off fine - as expected of a fine dining restaurant. The greeters were welcoming and immediately sat us and introduced us to our server Kevin. Kevin was quick to welcome us and take our drink orders. Appetizers and soup and salad were prompt and received very high praise (complements to the chef on the calamari & ahi tuna especially). After that - Kevin essentially disappeared. Water that needed refilling went unattended, our dinner was non-existent and was delayed without explanation. Our youngest child especially was getting fidgety since she didn't have any of the aforementioned food and was anxiously awaiting her "steak". Eventually Kevin reemerged and apologized for the delay and indicated it would be coming soon. 15 min later the dinner arrived. Thankfully -everyone's meal was to their satisfaction (especially the Chilean Sea Bass - highest complements to the chef). Unfortunately, my Filet - which was supposed to be medium - was Well Done. An immediate attempt to correct was poorly executed as I was served a medium "filet" that was essentially "all fat". Thankfully the third time was a charm and steak was to my satisfaction. When it came time for dessert and paying the bill - Kevin again disappeared and another 15 minutes elapsed from delivering the bill to finally getting my credit card back. For a fine dining restaurant that charges exceptional prices, I was most disappointed with the lack of attention & priority given to us - especially when the restaurant wasn't full until when we were ready to leave.
Our sides came to the table luke warm. We informed our waiter, Scott, and he immediately whisked them away and brought us fresh, piping hot sides. Our steaks were outstanding, as always, and perfectly cooked. Great place for special occasions, a leisurely meal and great service. Our favorite place, even though we're an hour away.
Food was plentiful and well prepared. Service was good, but not particularly attentive. Drink order delivered incorrectly, TWICE! Plenty of other choices for that price point locally. Something as simple as a drink order should not spoil the experience but the little things do matter.
