The food (steaks) were outstanding, as usual. Our waiter, Julio, was very attentive and had good suggestions. This is an event restaurant for us and luckily we got right in by using the Open Table App. A very busy weekend in Indianapolis but this App makes dining very easy and scheduling is a breeze. Would recommend Ruth's Chris anytime you are looking for consistently terrific food with a quiet atmosphere. Nice to be able to dine and converse with others at the table without talking above normal conversation level. Tough to do at some places.
We appreciate the service and the attentiveness of the servers in keeping the table clean and for any needs we might have during dinner.
My family and I dine a Ruth quite often so I was a little taken back regarding my experience Friday night as we celebrated my best fiends birthday. Our waiter was ok but not as attentive and quick on his feet as he could have been . The food was ok that night and not worth the money we spent . We had a super long wait for bread and some drinks we ordered. I had a party of 9 and I’m sure everyone’s bill was $65 plus with tip with mines being over $100 with tip. Not sure if I would return to this location but I’m open to trying the one downtown. I’m hopeful you will have a better experience than the one we had :)
Zeke was great, the change in bar seating is horrible you are on each other’s lap, go to the Outback for more comfort
Scott was our waiter again and did an amazing job! As always good food and great servcice.
Great in all ways! Rebecca was wonderful.
My wife and I love this place. U must eat the sweet potato casserole. And steak of course. :)
Worst meal I’ve ever had at Ruth’s Chris. I was surprised. I usually love the food and service. Both were off this night. Steaks were way over cooked. Service was slow and almost nonexistent. The manager strolled by, but by that point it didn’t really matter. I didn’t bring it up.
I hope it’s a fluke. I’ll go back because I’ve always enjoyed Ruth’s Chris.
Fabulous food and service!
Food was fabulous! Keep in mind that aides can be shared between 3-4 people each. We had the filets. One had bleu cheese crust and the other had Parmesan truffle butter crust and both melted in your mouth. Shoestring fries came out piled 8 inches high on a 10 inch oval platter, more than enough for 4 people. Sweet potato casserole was a hit as well!
They made my sons birthday very special with impeccable service!
Excellent food and service. Megan was great!
Always a pleasure my wife and son enjoyed everything

We always love Ruth’s Chris, but I’m always reminded of how amazing the service and food are every time we come back.
The waiting staff was top notch. We have celebrated two different occasions there and both times the service and food was excellent.
The waiter we had could have did better she could have came back to the table a little bit more but besides that it was awesome. She didn't bring nothing to the table everybody else did and it wasn't just my table that she did this to.
Fantastic! Myron was phenomenal!
Our waiter (Adam) provided exemplary service for our delicious meals, making it a truly memorable evening.
I am an absolute lover of Ruths Chris . As a matter of fact I am bringing clients there very soon. I hope we have a better experience next time. The staff was not up to par. The waiter was not as professional as we are used to. I had to ask a few times for the drink I had ordered. The assisting staff walked around reviewing order tickets when they were bringing food out. It felt like we were at Dennys. We both ordered our steaks medium and they both were almost well done. My wife asked to have her desert boxed and when we returned home it was not in the bag. Overall I just thought the experience was sub par to say the least given the price tag and the expectation of a high end meal/ special experience. When we arrived at out table the tablecloth had food stains and there was a half filled glass of water on the table. No attempt was made to correct this situation other than removing the used water glass. I felt as if we had been to an outback steakhouse. As I said before we have plans to take some special business guests to dinner here on race weekend. Not sure if its a good idea or not. I may need to reassess my options. If the experience is the same I don’t believe our guests will be impressed.
Went for dinner before going to a play. Food is very good and our service was great. It’s pricy, but very good.
Outstanding restaurant, great ambiance, food and service. A bit pricey, but for a special occasion it is the best.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday. The service was extremely slow. The main server was unaware the server’s assistant had taken our orde for an appetizer. Our steaks were over cooked and salty. The restaurant offered a free dessert to my husband and then did not bring my dessert which was part of my meal. This was my first visit to Ruth Chris Steak House and I had anticipated so much more. We were both sadly disappointed and left there wishing we’d chosen another restaurant or stayed home.
We usually get the prix fix menu which is still plenty of food. We always enjoy going there for a celebration.
The steaks are outstanding, cooked to perfection and served sizzling hot. Our wait person was attentive but not intrusive. Portions have decreased since my last visit of several months ago. It is very pricey so I would only eat here for special occasions.
Service was spectacular and food was even better! Was so worth every penny! Truly enjoyed our experience!
One of the best waiters I’ve ever had! She was informative, enthusiastic, and so nice! Quick service, food was great, and so was the atmosphere! We’ll definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Valentines Date. The food was remarkable.
Everything was great service and food only thing kind of irritating was a crying baby next to us...I love the kids just didn't think that is a place for children considering its not cheap....I expect crying babies at Applebees 🍎
We arrived on time for an 8:00pm reservation and waited an hour and a half to be seated, only after we reminded them we were still waiting. We said something to the manager and he just commented. I wished I would have known sooner. You’d think they would have done something like comped a dessert to make up for it. As far as ambiance they first were going to sit us at a table that was in a main walking area. Totally horrible place. So we asked to be reseated which they obliged. service was ok. Food was ok but after waiting so long you kind of a little off to enjoy a meal since it’s 930 at this point. Overall due to our experience, we won’t be back. There’s plenty of high end restaurants in town. Providing anything less that superior service is unacceptable. And yo top it all off. This morning while checking my phone I received a nasty gram from opentable that we missed the reservation!
Had a great time. A booth in the bar. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
Excellent food. Mouraud (?) offered great wine selection and was very attentive.
Still the best steak you can get. Absolutely outstanding!
Excellent! All recommendations by server Beshoy Bahr were delicious! GM David Adelsperger provided an Anniversary card with a gift certificate. It was a lovely 28th wedding anniversary dinner for us.
It had been several years since we last ate at Ruth Chris but we had a gift certificate so celebrated my husband's birthday here. Everyone wished my husband a happy birthday, since it was on the reservation. They have added a pre-set menu since the last time we ate here, which I prefer for the smaller portions. We were also seated upstairs which was quiet and easy to have a conversation. The service was attentive and professional. The stuffed mushroom caps appetizer was very good. The DeLoach wine was good, but as a 2016, it will probably be better in a year or two. My fillet was more well done than medium, but I'm sure I could have sent it back if I wanted. My husband liked his ribeye steak. We took the included bananas foster cheese cake home. It was mostly crust and I decided not to eat it. We won't wait so long before our next visit.
Our waiter didn’t really seem to be listening to us. He assumed quite a bit and seemed disappointed in us after we politely declined to order alcohol. My tomato mozzarella salad looked very strange. I would recommend not marinating the tomatoes in balsalmic vinaigrette as it turns the tomatoes an unappetizing greenish-brown color and causes them to be squishy. Th steaks were wonderful and the creamed spinach wonderful as always.
As always, the food was excellent, service outstanding and overall a great experience. We frequent Ruth's Chris several times a year and always look forward to the meal.
Awesome place - great food. Not a great value. With a bottle of wine, you are going to drop a couple hundred dollars (plus) for dinner - easily. But, you don't walk into Ruth's thinking any different. You are going to drop significant cash, but the meal and the experience are outstanding. Loosen up - live! You won't regret it.
The food was just mediocre, for 267 it's definitely not worth the price. I had the king salmon, it had wierd tasting chutney on it. The shoestring fries were cold. I expect better for that kind of money
Great food. Gets a bit expensive especially when we bring the kids. But food and service was great!
Arrived one minute before 8pm res time but waited ten minutes to be seated. Celebrating anniversary, seated at a four top in middle of dining room but understandable as it was busy. Server talked too much, took away from our personal time. He insisted we order steaks over seafood, told us several times the steaks were the best in the world. Filet with shrimp was good, shrimp lacked flavor. Ribeye was unimpressive. Mashed potatoes were tasty. Ordered a side of charred broccoli gratin but was brought a second side of mashed instead, service team promptly corrected the mistake. Broccoli was good. Service was pretty friendly overall, lead server just too overbearing. They brought a complimentary anniversary dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written on the plate which was really cool and made us feel appreciated. Desserts were really good. Entrees were not bad but not good enough to return for. There are places in Indy that serve great steaks along with amazing presentation. When dining for two in the $100-$150 range, the local food scene (for better or worse) has conditioned us to expect more from our dining experience.
Daughters 18th bday dinner with her 2 friends. Great food , servers, atmosphere
