Service was fantastic. Food was great. Better than the downtown location.
The food was good as always but the service was slow. We were 45 minutes between salad and entree. The break to dessert was also long. The room was generally quiet but the busboys put their dish-collection tray right beside our table several times to clear the tables of 14 and 5 near us. There were lots of places they could have put it but they liked that spot so there was a constant clatter of dirty dishes while they tidied up other tables. Overall not bad because the food was good but not worth the cost, given the delays and the noise.
Lovely atmosphere and good service. Filet was SUPERB and cooked perfectly. Mushroom appetizer was very good as well. Side dishes had room for improvement. The Brussel sprouts lacked flavor and were too crunchy and the creamed spinach was luke warm and lacked the little cayenne punch it use to have. Bread pudding was hot and wonderful. I think I actually prefer Fleming's to Ruth's Chris only because the bread and side dishes are consistently excellent. On the fence on whether I will return. Probably would if I knew the sides would at least be hot.
Loved the quiet atmosphere at RC Northbrook
Side dishes were nothing special.
Steaks are great. Sides are expensive.
Greatest steak ever
The food was very good (surf and turf, filet). The drinks were well made (old fashion and a gin special). Service was excellent. Everything was very good but i still think it's a bit overpriced.
I always enjoy going to Ruth's Chris. The first time I tried their food was in New Orleans. The steaks are tender and the seafood is delicious. My friend took my friend and me out for our birthdays. The three of us had a great dinner.
We only go about once or twice a year for a special family get together/reunion celebration. We love a good steak although we don't eat them often. In the past, our steaks have always been top notch. We typically get rib eyes. The side dishes are excellent, the service makes one feel quite special. The noise level is quiet enough that we can easily talk and visit. This most recent visit, we all, once again, got rib eyes but for the first time we were all disappointed. The cut had a lot of difficult to chew fat marble running through all five steaks. It is the first time out of a half dozen visits that has every happened.
